Urban All-Round Master

62: Chapter 62: Gaming Vest 62: Chapter 62: Gaming Vest “Do you know how to play this game?”

“A little.”

“What do you mean by ‘a little’!

You either do or you don’t.

Come on!

Apply for an account, and let’s play together.

You’ll be in charge of shooting down aircraft later on.

If you play well, then we can have a match against each other.

What do you think?”

Hua Buqi blinked her charming eyes, looking at Lin Zifeng with a face full of excitement.

“Then let’s play.”

Lin Zifeng shrugged indifferently.

“Great!

If you’re going to play, then we’ve got to do something novel.”

“What novel thing?” Seeing the little girl’s watery eyes spin, it seemed she was thinking up some way to mess with him again.

Hehe.

Hua Buqi giggled, “How about the loser has to wear a bikini and dance the Gangnam Style tonight?”

“Er…

bikini?

Gangnam Style?

Look Huahua, if you really want to see, just say so.

I’ll strip naked for you if that’s what you want.

Why go to the trouble of coming up with all these antics?

How about I strip for you right now?” said Lin Zifeng, feigning a grave expression as if he was preparing to make a heroic sacrifice, his face also showing helplessness.

“No!

Stop grossing me out.

I’m just asking if you dare to play or not?”

In fact, no matter how Lin Zifeng played this game, it seemed he was destined to lose, because behind the little girl was a team composed of the fiercest national players!

Most of the members were professional gamers who had even won a top three spot in the World Cup in South Korea!

Counter-Terrorism Battlefield players from all over the world had participated, of course!

Yet the champion turned out to be an unknown Chinese player with the gaming alter ego “Eastern Invincible.”

Although the name was somewhat lame, at the time when the game was newly launched, it was brutal.

Players from all over the world eagerly signed up, but in the end, the champion was a Chinese player!

This guy, practically a nobody among nobodies, donning the “Eastern Invincible” alter ego, instantly annihilated the Japanese players, crushing them so completely they couldn’t even let out a fart.

Latter on, everyone discovered that Eastern Invincible had always been playing with alternate accounts; almost every week, he’d switch to a new gaming alter ego, so even with good results, it did not stand out.

“What if you lose?” Lin Zifeng asked a question that almost made Hua Buqi burst into laughter.

Hua Buqi cast a dumbfounded glance at Lin Zifeng, “If I lose, how about I wear a bikini and dance the Gangnam Style in front of you?”

“Heh, heh, seems like I’m at a disadvantage!

Even if you wear a bikini, I don’t seem to get much out of it, do I?”

Lin Zifeng smirked slyly, like a haggling market auntie.

Hua Buqi puffed up with anger, “Are you so sure you’ll win?

And are you certain you can completely defeat me in the game?”

“There’s no such thing as impossible.

Maybe I really could beat you in the game.”

“Then, then whatever conditions you propose, I’ll agree.” Pressured by Lin Zifeng, the little girl wasn’t having it, especially since Lin Zifeng had virtually no chance of winning.

After all, Hua Buqi had the world’s third-ranking team in the Hundred Cities League right behind her!

Even if things went terribly, to bully a noob like him would be a piece of cake, right?

“Empty promises, can I trust them?”

Lin Zifeng felt his conditions weren’t too demanding; instead, he repeated them over and over again.

Seeing his relentless bargaining, Hua Buqi clenched her teeth in fury, “Rest assured, I, Hua Buqi, can guarantee my character, and I’ll even write a guarantee after the game.

If I go back on my word, you can expose the truth to the media anytime.

How about it?

Can we proceed now?”

“That’s actually a good idea,” Lin Zifeng said with a slight smile.

“But Huahua, it’s still better to write a receipt.

That way…

heh, heh, no one can wriggle out of it later.”

Jerk!

You jerk!

Making me write a receipt for you?

Do you really believe you can win?

Besides, even if I lose…

no!

I won’t lose.

My team is third-ranked in the Hundred Cities League worldwide!

How could I possibly lose to him?

And he’s just a noob, way out of my league, so how could he win?

“All right, it’s a deal.”

“It’s a deal.”

Following the request, Hua Buqi, barefooted, skittered into the room and swiftly wrote a receipt, then handed it to Lin Zifeng and said, “Can we start now?”

“OK!

Let’s get started.”

The two of them sat cross-legged on the room’s carpet, controlling two oversized computer monitors.

According to the game’s rules, one had to first select a character and then purchase some weapons, and of course!

Newly registered undercover accounts had only a handful of game-given coins which couldn’t afford any high-end equipment.

Luckily, Lin Zifeng had won a temporary crystal AK after fighting a BOSS round and then a Nepalese knife, to the exaggerated expressions of the little girl, he mercilessly thrashed her in dozens of rounds!

Finally, infuriated, the little girl slammed down her keyboard and cursed Lin Zifeng for being shameless, for pretending to be a rookie despite being an expert, and then she kept on sending rows of small print in the QQ group.

“Huahua is being utterly thrashed in the Demolition channel, requesting Divine Dragon teammates to come to our aid ASAP.”

As soon as the QQ group message was sent, one after another, the group’s experts immediately started pounding on their keyboards in response, filling the screen with text from the Divine Dragon team.

‘Huahua, what’s wrong with you?’ the Divine Dragon team’s number one captain, with the alias Shen Tianxing, promptly replied in the QQ group.

Hua Buqi first sent a pitiful emoji, then recounted her entire bet with Lin Zifeng that day, prompting the entire Divine Dragon team to denounce Lin Zifeng as shameless.

They all boldly declared they would utterly smash Lin Zifeng’s little undercover ‘Extra Thick’ character.

Before the start of a big game battle, there was already a strong whiff of gunpowder in the air.

Under Hua Buqi’s leadership, the Divine Dragon team managed to find the room’s map where Huahua was thrashed.

First, the Divine Dragon team’s captain, Shen Tianxing, typed a line: “Who is that beast bullying Huahua?”

The opponent’s tone was obviously confrontational, calling someone a beast right off the bat, and Lin Zifeng certainly didn’t give him any face.

He also typed a row of characters: “Please call me Extra Thick!”

“…!”

The opponent was first taken aback, all six of them suddenly stunned.

The opponent’s nickname was rather audacious!

It was called ‘Extra Thick’!

A rather affectionate name.

“Got the guts to duel with me?” Shen Tianxing once again typed a row of text.

“Duel?”

Lin Zifeng just typed two characters and then fell silent.

Immediately, the opponent, including Hua Buqi, laughed, thinking Lin Zifeng was afraid.

As a result, once the Divine Dragon team took the field, players in the room’s map hastily exited the game.

Dammit!

The Divine Dragon team has arrived; what are we nobodies supposed to do?

This is just asking for a thrashing!

Playing games was originally about taking pleasure in others’ discomfort, but who could enjoy themselves with these freaks?

You’d get thrashed so bad you couldn’t even cry for your mom.

Of course!

There were still a few daredevils wanting to crash into the fray.

“Dare to play?” The six beasts of the Divine Dragon team all textually laughed and teased Lin Zifeng for only being able to bully girls.

In the end, the battle between the two sides grew more and more intense, until the room host left abruptly, restarting the match, and who knows who used up hundreds of loudspeakers in the public channel.

Suddenly, all the players of Counter-Terrorism Battlefield went into spectator mode, watching but not participating.

This incident even got the attention of quite a few gamers.

Everyone was curious to see just how skilled these players were, parading under the Divine Dragon team aliases.
