I Am Your Natural Enemy

Chapter 79: Chapter 64 Connectivity, Factory (5k)

Wen Yan discovered that Wang Xueqi was actually being influenced by a Domain that hadn’t yet fully formed. He noticed as soon as she crossed from the stone cliff and plunged into the pool, that sometimes when a Domain is in the process of solidifying, it might connect with other places.

But he never imagined, it would be proven so soon.

What’s more, it was a connection formed directly between two completed Domains that could actually be crossed through.

Wen Yan couldn’t even care what the water in this pool really was anymore. He just stuck out his head cautiously, secretly watching his surroundings.

Within his field of view, the number of Walking Dead and Wraiths here far surpassed what he’d seen inside the Water Ghost Domain.

He could more or less understand now where the Zombies and Evil Ghosts in the Water Ghost Domain came from.

The chemical plant housed a Type II Domain.

Even though he’d never been to the Duanzhou Chemical Plant, he’d studied plenty of material about chemical plants before.

Now, seeing the environment here, and that tall chimney belching black smoke, he recognized the factory layout at a glance.

Those billowing clouds of black smoke poured out endlessly, cloaking the sky above, yet there was still a sickly yellow light shining down—it didn’t feel like night at all.

The black smoke kept shifting in shape, and all around echoed with wails and agonized screams. The source was precisely that black smoke.

After the black smoke dispersed, it filled the sky, making those sounds seem to invade every crack and corner.

Wen Yan could no longer sense Wang Xueqi. She had pushed him upward, but the very instant he surfaced, Wang Xueqi disappeared.

Now, even if he wanted to go back, he probably couldn’t.

Fortunately, after his authority had been promoted earlier, he’d figured he would have to come to Duanzhou sooner or later, to find the Fake Mo Zhicheng, which meant he’d inevitably be drawn into the affairs of this chemical plant.

All the files about the chemical plant—every bit he was allowed to see—he’d already read through.

This was a Type II Domain, rooted in reality, but everything within it did not overlap with real life.

At least for now, the basic layout matched the Duanzhou Chemical Plant exactly.

That was good news—at least he wouldn’t be totally blind to his environment.

The bad news was, based on its current threat level and the range of its influence and casualties, the chemical plant Domain had already been ranked as a Third-level Domain.

And this rating, as far as current files indicated, was assigned before the Scorching Sun Department had even broken into the Domain proper.

Ever since a few days ago, after the Big Executor Corpse incident, and the revelation that someone in Nanwu County Scorching Sun Department had been brainwashed...

The Scorching Sun Department’s actions had become more conservative, focusing on maintaining the status quo for now.

Until all the brainwashed moles were dug out, they didn’t dare to launch any major operations, for fear that when the action started, the ’traitor’ inside would leak the plan and the enemy could set up countermeasures in advance.

If that happened, the losses would be catastrophic.

Only during the past couple of days had the Scorching Sun Department’s Office of Sanitation and Cleansing, even amid this caution, managed to properly establish itself—eliminating that hidden danger for now.

Their full-scale assault had not yet begun.

Wen Yan waited a moment, watching as, in the distant pool, the flood of Zombies and Wraiths carried out by the current gradually subsided and the waters stilled again.

He muttered softly,

”Uncle, come here.”

The closed-eyed Uncle instantly turned and walked toward Wen Yan.

The vacant Little Zombie beamed, bouncing and hopping over to Wen Yan’s side.

Wen Yan glanced around; it seemed he didn’t even see any Hopping Corpses. With Uncle here, there shouldn’t be much trouble.

He climbed out of the pool. The black water clinging to his body seemed tugged by some unseen force, seeping rapidly off him, pooling together in thin streams and flowing back into the pool.

The instant he stepped out, his body was completely dry.

He reached out, trying to scoop up some water, but the slightly blackish liquid slipped away from his cupped hands, impossible to carry out of the pool.

The Little Zombie jumped and landed on Wen Yan’s back.

Off in the distance, many Walking Dead and Wraiths all turned their heads at once, staring at Wen Yan.

The moment he stepped out of the pool, the Yang Energy on his body became a beacon in the darkness—impossible for anything to ignore.

And Wen Yan had yet to even complete the First Stage of the Guiding Technique for Scorching Sun Fist, so he couldn’t mask it at all.

Uncle kept his eyes shut, walking to Wen Yan’s side, standing motionless, drawing all his Power deep within.

But as the surrounding Walking Dead began to converge, the Little Zombie imitated the Sparrow Cat, baring its teeth and hissing. The Walking Dead hesitated a little, but many continued to shuffle closer.

”Uncle, they’re all experience for you. Wipe them out.”

Wen Yan sighed inwardly. It was his first time here and intel was scarce—he truly didn’t want to draw attention.

But those Walking Dead had no brains, and Uncle was too calm when not fighting. To them, he didn’t even register as a superior among Zombies.

At Wen Yan’s command, Uncle suddenly opened his eyes. The fine black hairs plastered across his form stood on end in a flash, gleaming with a metallic sheen.

His upper body stayed motionless, but his legs scissored at blinding speed—within two steps he’d traversed over a dozen meters. Both hands flashed out, metal-bright claws like sharp blades, and with a sickening rip, he effortlessly impaled two Walking Dead.

He didn’t stop moving—just like stringing candied hawthorns, he kept on wildly skewering Walking Deads. By the time one arm had three stacked on it, the first corpse had already crumbled to ash and blown away.
