I Am Your Natural Enemy

Chapter 62: Chapter 58: Twenty-Eight Repetitions, Eldest Senior Brother_3

Now this secret department really exists, and so far, only five people know about it.

Feng Yao, Cai Qidong, and the other three top bosses in the General Command.

Right after, Cai Qidong used his authority to add a file in the Scorching Sun Department’s database.

”Su Yue (Different Race: Foreigner), origin...”

”How should we make up the rest?” Cai Qidong asked Feng Yao.

Feng Yao thought of that hopping corpse he’d never seen again, thought of the little zombie Zhang Laoxi had brought back, and the recent movements at Fuyu Mountain...

”I heard Fuyu Mountain actually raises zombies. Why not just write Fuyu Mountain? Seems fitting...”

Cai Qidong recalled what he knew and agreed it was quite suitable.

When you’re making up records, you can’t just pull things out of thin air—there still needs to be something believable.

Within the Divine Land, as far as he knew, there were quite a few zombies, not weak, behaved themselves, kept a low profile, and hadn’t been wiped out by the Scorching Sun Department. Meeting all these, it seemed only those zombies near Fuyu Mountain fit.

Even for him, he only knew that such a place existed—he didn’t know much more.

”Su Yue (Different Race: Foreigner).

Origin: Fuyu Mountain.”

Just a name and a simple origin—Cai Qidong didn’t add anything else. That was enough, and easy to build on later.

With his current clearance, after setting it up, only people with the same level clearance as him, or at least a department minister, could view the file.

And according to Cai Qidong’s current guess, for the Soul Devouring Beast intel to leak so quickly, it was most likely someone with authority equal to his who did it.

Using the name Su Yue as bait—whether it catches anything doesn’t really matter; it’s just a task to complete.

Working with Wen Yan, making it easy for Wen Yan to continue gathering intel, is very necessary too.

Of course, in case something does take the bait, it’ll definitely be a big fish.

Just after dealing with these things, Cai Qidong got another call, his brow furrowed tightly.

”What else can we do? Qin Kun is very measured in what he does, he won’t hurt innocents. Stop asking, don’t ask me, I never got this call. Civilian interaction is their right, don’t tell me everything, I don’t want to know!”

After hanging up, Cai Qidong had a headache. Qin Kun was already in Nanwu County, about to go challenge someone in person.

Seeing how headstrong Qin Kun was, his own expectations dropped again—now, as long as no one died, it’d be fine.

After all, the guy about to get a beating actually entered through the proper channels. As long as he hasn’t committed crimes in the Divine Land, dying here would look bad.

...

In Yu State, after nightfall, the weather cooled a bit. The crowds on the street were even thicker than during the day.

Outside the Sacred Fire Guild in Yu State New District, Qin Kun had already arrived at the gate.

He looked to be in his thirties, not the burly type, rather lean and wiry, with thick eyebrows and big, sharp, spirited eyes. Dressed in black training clothes, he stood there like a javelin pointed to the sky.

He looked up for a moment, then strode toward the Sacred Fire Guild.

Someone at the door stopped him. Qin Kun looked a bit puzzled.

”Did my challenge notice not get delivered?”

”Sir, sorry, this place isn’t open to non-members.”

”Not going to accept the challenge? Don’t regret it then.” Qin Kun suddenly laughed, turned, and was about to leave.

Someone quickly ran out, a look of fear in his eyes.

”Mr. Qin, please come inside.”

Qin Kun said nothing, following all the way into the back hall, where three others also dressed in training uniforms awaited.

The three faced him with grim faces, tension in their bodies, every muscle taut. They didn’t even have the option to refuse the challenge, nor did they dare.

If someone else issued a challenge and they declined, at worst it just meant backing down, admitting defeat, and that would be it. At most, others would just think of them as foreigners not wanting to stir up trouble in the Divine Land.

But the grudge between the Sacred Fire Sect and Fuyu Mountain went back over a thousand years, and new feuds were formed even decades ago.

If they refused the challenge now, it would mean giving up their identity as Sacred Fire followers in the Divine Land and only remaining as foreign businessmen.

In the future, if they dared to use their status or the power of Sacred Fire followers in the Divine Land, Qin Kun wouldn’t hesitate to turn hostile and show no mercy.

It might seem old-fashioned and out of place today, but any age, all things are still built on strength.

Qin Kun strode into the empty main hall, gazed at the three standing there, and cupped his fists in a respectful salute.

”Today’s challenge is unrelated to personal grudges. An elder in the family has unresolved feelings. As a junior, it falls to me to bear the burden.”

”Let me apologize to you first.”

”I’m in a bit of a hurry. All three of you, come at once.”

”If you lose, please leave Nanwu County.”

”If I lose, I will always steer clear from now on.”

After speaking, Qin Kun again cupped his fists, politely, and took his stance.

The three turned ashen, feeling Qin Kun was humiliating them.

They knew that one-on-one, any of them probably wasn’t Qin Kun’s match, but inside the Sacred Fire Sect they’re pillars of strength—not just any nobodies.

The Sacred Fire Sect sending the three of them to the Divine Land, as shareholders and executives, had already considered the possibility of facing the locals in a match.

No matter what they expected, they didn’t imagine someone as established as Qin Kun would stoop so low as to issue a personal challenge.

No way out now—they could only let out a low shout and split into three directions.

The three gave a low shout together, stomped the ground, and their muscles swelled, bursting their uniforms. Their faces turned fierce and savage.

The three attacked as one, moving in perfect unison, and in an instant, it looked like a dozen hands were striking at Qin Kun at once.

He gave a low shout, raised his arm to block four hands, then, seizing the momentum, swung a long-arm punch to force two of them back. At the moment the third’s fist came down, he side-stepped, and just as the opponent’s punch spent its force, his iron-strong hand clamped onto the man’s wrist, fingers gouging into flesh, seizing his tendons.

With a single move, his foot pressed against the opponent’s left foot from the inside. Then, body surging upward, his other foot lashed out hard, smashing into the outside of the man’s left knee.

At that explosive moment, you could finally see Qin Kun’s muscles bulge, vicious energy surging out.

With a crack, the other’s left leg twisted into a grotesque shape.

With agony tearing through him and his power dissipating, Qin Kun took a step forward, bypassing the man, dodging the two attacking from behind, swinging his arm in a broad arc, body spinning halfway, and hammered a fist into the pressure point below the opponent’s ear.

With a thud, the man crashed to the floor, unmoving, out cold.

In a single exchange, one was down—speed, force, skill, every aspect was overwhelming.

Qin Kun eyed the remaining two, face cold as water, waist bowing low. The moment they retracted their fists, he leaped forward—striking after but arriving first—using one of them to block the other’s attack route.

He clenched a pointed fist, and as the other withdrew his punch, caught that fleeting opportunity, slammed his fist into the Tianquan point on the man’s arm, dissolving his attack.

Seeing the opponent dare lift a kick, Qin Kun pressed down the man’s foot with one hand, grabbed it with both in a twisting motion, pulled back to neutralize the force.

Next instant, he twisted the man’s foot. There was a crack—another leg broke.
