I Am Your Natural Enemy

Chapter 63: Chapter 59: The Big Gun, New Ghost

Qin Kun gripped the man’s severed leg, gave it a slight twist, and flipped him over.

The man gritted his teeth against the pain and threw a Yinfeng Ear-Strike, but Qin Kun blocked it effortlessly with one hand, then his fist, as heavy as a copper mace, swung down in a wide, brutal arc.

The other used his remaining arm to block, but Qin Kun’s blow struck his shoulder first, dislocating it on the spot. With the momentum, Qin Kun’s fist turned into a knife-hand, chopping down on the man’s carotid artery.

In the next moment, the man’s movements stalled, his body went limp and flopped to the ground.

In just a few seconds, Qin Kun had already floored two men, using only basic hand-to-hand techniques.

The last man, seeing how brutally his fellows were beaten, his eyes bulged with rage and bloodshot red. A wisp of black mist coiled over his body, veins bulging under his skin, something seemed to writhe swiftly beneath the flesh.

His skin grew ashen, as if anguished yet sacred faces were emerging from the surface of his body.

His heartbeat pounded like a drum, the oppressive atmosphere growing almost unbearable.

He looked to be suffering, but his expression was as if in some perverse worship, chanting a sacred hymn in an unknown tongue.

Seeing this, even Qin Kun’s ever-calm face darkened.

”Forbidden Technique. Sacrificial Ode. So you lot still know these things after all.”

The Divine Land had explicitly and absolutely forbidden this evil Forbidden Technique. Anyone found practicing it within Divine Land could be executed on the spot.

Even for Different Races like Zombies that suck blood, the Scorching Sun Department never said to kill without exception.

But the Sacrificial Ode was one of those things with a zero-tolerance policy.

This evil stuff isn’t about whether the technique or the man is good or bad.

Anyone who knows it must already carry the lives of at least four or five innocents on their back. No exceptions.

Like this man here—at least twenty lives on his hands.

”Qin Kun, you’ve seen it now. So don’t expect to leave.” The other man’s face twisted, voice a low growl. He crouched slightly, muscles tensed, and the floor tiles beneath him split apart with a bang, bang, bang.

His form blurred—a mirage leaving afterimages—tiles on the ground shattering in the wake of an invisible Power.

Qin Kun shifted, dodging the strike. Looking back, seven or eight meters away, cracks spiderwebbed the wall, a head-sized hole at the center crumbling into powder.

The man drew back his fist, panting, bloodshot in the eyes deepening, rage and violence radiating from his every breath.

”I’m here today on private business—you didn’t break the law in my Divine Land. It’s not really proper for me to kill you...”

Qin Kun hadn’t even finished his sentence before the man bridged seven or eight meters in a heartbeat, barreling toward him like an out-of-control dump truck.

Qin Kun muttered about not wanting to kill, yet surging Yang Energy was already rolling off him, not even a step back. Instead, he met the rush head-on.

He lunged forward in a bow stance, body straight as a javelin. In a flash, he became a battle-hardened general, crimson-tasseled Big Spear in hand, galloping into the charge.

”Big Spear!”

In the blink of an eye, his body became the spear, converging wild Power into a single, ferocious strike, manifesting as a phantom giant spear lunging forward.

He struck direct at the heart with an elbow as a spearhead, crushing the enemy’s momentum—elbow sharp as a spear tip, slamming into the opponent’s chest.

Next instant, Qin Kun stood still at the center as Powerful Energy radiated out. The other man was blasted into a whirling blur, as if speared by a crimson lance, vanishing in a heartbeat.

Floor tiles shattered beneath, a thunderous roar carving a trench running more than ten meters long.

More than ten meters away, the man was embedded in the tiled wall like a painting, his eyes gone a ghostly grey, consciousness already gone.

The bulging muscles softened, those face-like markings on his skin collapsing into wisps of dark smoke that dissipated in the air.

Qin Kun stepped up, staring at the man in the wall. He reached out, checked—the man wasn’t dead, only ruined. Satisfied, Qin Kun nodded, then turned to leave.

He came here on personal business today. Even if he beat a man to death for using a Forbidden Technique, it still wouldn’t feel right. The man wasn’t committing crimes in Divine Land, nor was he one of their own, and he was even a foreign businessman.

This outcome is just right.

Content, he turned and left. As for whether Grand Uncle Master giving him this errand was a bit of bullying, he didn’t care. There’d been old grievances anyway, and this was a foreigner. As long as the job got done, that was enough.

Not until Qin Kun left did the long-waiting emergency medical team finally rush inside.

An obviously non-Divine Land man with a Hooked Nose stared at the body embedded in the wall, chest caved in, his face grim beyond words.

”I’m going straight to the ambassador! We must demand a satisfactory explanation!”

”What kind of answer? That this impatient, half-baked fool practiced a Forbidden Technique banned by Divine Land, got spotted by Scorching Sun Department’s Qin Kun, and ended up crippled with a breath left to his name?” The goateed man sneered, face sullen.

”He’s not crippled—he’s dead! Qin Kun killed him!” The Hooked Nose man’s eyes flashed as he stared at the ruined figure, murderous intent flickering in his gaze.

”Don’t cause trouble. He can’t die on Divine Land’s soil. This ends here! If you make a move, once it begins—when it ends won’t be up to you!”
