The Darling of Heaven Owns a Rip-off Shop

Chapter 185: Chapter 9: Treasure on the Palm, Pig

As Yan Zhengya entered the courtyard, he was stunned by the scene before him.

The courtyard was filled with smoke and the sound of sizzling meat on the iron griddle. Wow, they were having a barbecue!

The one cooking the meat was a handsome man who was grilling meat and lovingly feeding it to the person beside him.

Following the man’s gaze, Yan Zhengya saw a mountain of meat. Oh no, that’s too rude! He saw a very plump woman, her mouth greasy as she ate. She held a chicken drumstick in each hand and was happily gnawing on them, while also taking time to eat the meat slices fed by the man.

What’s going on here?

Snort!

Mao Mao the pig couldn’t resist the smell of meat anymore and jumped from Yan Zhengya’s arms, running straight to the man’s side.

The man looked surprised when he saw the little dark pig charging towards him. Then he saw the little black pig stretching its front hooves onto the stone stove, looking eagerly at the meat slices and then at him.

That pitiful look in its eyes made him feel sympathetic. He picked up a slice of meat and handed it to the little black pig. But the little pig didn’t eat immediately; it turned its head to look at Yan Zhengya behind it.

Seeing Mao Mao Pig’s pitiful eyes, Yan Zhengya couldn’t bear it and said, ”Go ahead, eat.” Oh no, when you eat someone’s food, it’s hard to turn against them. If you eat the demon’s food, it will be hard to be mean to them later.

Given permission, Mao Mao Pig opened its mouth and gobbled up the grilled meat slice, chewing with satisfaction.

The demon feeding the meat finally noticed Yan Zhengya belatedly, and his expression changed, the spatula pausing in mid-air.

”Alright, cook first, there’s nothing more important than eating.” Yan Zhengya said grumpily as he looked at the demon in front of him. This demon had pure eyes and clean demonic aura, indicating he hadn’t done anything evil. Yan Zhengya was a Demon Exterminator, but not a stubborn person. Evil demons must be dealt with, but those who haven’t done wrong, he wouldn’t blindly attack.

The demon cautiously glanced at Yan Zhengya before continuing to wield the spatula.

Miss Li squinted at Yan Zhengya, ”Did my father invite you to exterminate demons? Yuanyuan and I are mutually affectionate; he hasn’t harmed anyone, I haven’t affected anyone. What are you trying to do?”

”Eat first, eat first.” The demon named Yuanyuan fed another slice of meat to Miss Li.

Miss Li continued to eat sweetly.

After feeding Miss Li, Yuanyuan began feeding Mao Mao Pig, who snorted happily.

Yan Zhengya picked up a pair of chopsticks and a bowl, eating unceremoniously, speaking slowly while munching, ”Technically, there’s no problem with what you’re doing. You both agree on it, and he’s not harming anyone.”

”You’re quite savvy. How much did my dad pay you? I’ll pay you double. Just take the money and leave.” Miss Li put down the bone in her hand and wiped her hands with a wet towel.

Yan Zhengya didn’t answer, continuing to eat meat. While eating, he couldn’t help but marvel, this demon’s cooking was really good. So tasty that it felt like swallowing his tongue.

Mao Mao Pig was eating happily too, wagging its little tail uncontrollably.

Just like that, the courtyard was a bizarre, harmonious scene. The demon grilled meat, the Demon Exterminator, humans, and a little black pig ate meat, all relishing the taste.

After a while, Yan Zhengya finally felt full, burping, with Mao Mao Pig also burping and then snuggling blissfully in Yan Zhengya’s arms, ready to sleep. Eating and sleeping, very befitting its nature.
