Chapter 179: Chapter 3: Companion in the Palm, Pig at My Side

Yan Zhengya stared at the little black pig, and the little black pig stared back at Yan Zhengya with its tiny black bean-like eyes.

Yan Zhengya took two steps forward, and the little black pig quickly stepped back two steps. Yan Zhengya stepped back two steps, and the little black pig walked forward two steps. Yan Zhengya then walked forward three steps, and the little black pig hurriedly retreated three steps.

Hey??

Yan Zhengya stared at this little black pig. It’s playing the game of ”I advance, you retreat; I retreat, you advance” with me? How interesting.

He squatted down and reached out to the little black pig. The little black pig tilted its small head to look at Yan Zhengya, snorting once but hesitantly not daring to approach.

Yan Zhengya carefully observed this little black pig, somewhat astonished. Because it’s a little wild pig, truly a little wild pig. He had never seen a completely black little wild pig before. Little wild pigs are usually striped with a brownish color, but this little pig was entirely black, with a pinkish snout. It seemed like it hadn’t been half a month since birth. Where’s the mother pig? How could it leave its cub here?

Yan Zhengya’s feet were somewhat numb from squatting, but the little black pig still stood in place, not approaching. Eventually, Yan Zhengya ran out of patience, stood up prepared to leave, but after taking two steps, he heard rustling behind him. Turning his head, he saw the little black pig following him with its small pig hooves.

Yan Zhengya looked at the little black pig that was staring at him and suddenly had an epiphany.

This little black pig was probably abandoned by its mother due to its unique appearance.

Thinking about this, Yan Zhengya’s heart softened. He squatted down again and extended his hand to the little black pig: ”Come on, follow me home, let’s be companions.”

This time, the little black pig didn’t retreat but cautiously came forward, walked to the side of Yan Zhengya’s hand, and then cautiously extended one of its front small hooves, placing it carefully in Yan Zhengya’s palm. Yan Zhengya held this little pig hoof.

For some reason, at this moment, Yan Zhengya’s heart suddenly felt a bit sorrowful, yet more tender.

Yan Zhengya began to smile and picked up the little black pig.

It’s really small, so light.

And very soft.

Yan Zhengya placed the little black pig in his arms, and the little black pig used its small hooves to grip Yan Zhengya’s neckline, stretching its little head out, revealing a pair of front hooves and a small head. Yan Zhengya stroked its little head, and the man and pig swayed gently as they slowly walked back, with Yan Zhengya babbling along the way.

”I am Yan Zhengya. You’re so black, let me give you a name. Let’s call you Little Black Pig. Ah, that’s too simple. With your fluffy appearance, let’s name you Fluffy Pig.”

”Hey, from now on, you’ll keep me company. I’ll take care of you.”

”I was abandoned when I was young too. My master found me and taught me many things. This set of skills was taught by him. He even taught me to read and write, taught me his great philosophies.”

”He liked to drink wine, often drunkenly. When I was young, I had to take care of drunk him, wash his face, and move him to bed. It was so exhausting.”

”But back then, there were two people in the Daoist Temple, it was quite lively.”

”Later, I grew a bit older and was able to earn money too. I thought, finally, I didn’t need my master to support me, I could support him.”

”But, that old rascal, one foot stepped into another world. Before leaving, he laughed and said to me, told me not to miss him. He would wait for me for seventy or eighty years at Naihe Bridge, and then we would reincarnate together, as brothers, not master and disciple.”

”You see, even at death, he couldn’t keep a straight face...”

”Oink oink!” The little black pig suddenly made a sound, seemingly agreeing with Yan Zhengya.
