Medical Sage

Arrogance and defiance once again surfaced on Yang Peicheng’s face. A cold sneer fixed on Chen Fei’s eyes as he said with contempt, ”I don’t care who you are or what kind of background you have, but I suggest you go ask around and find out who I, Yang Peicheng, am. Don’t try to be a hero and provoke a major figure you can’t afford to offend! If you do, I can tell you in no uncertain terms that the consequences will be very, very dire!”

Upon hearing this, the expression on everyone’s face changed. They were all too aware of Yang Peicheng’s background; he was unquestionably one of the top scions in the city. Here in Northern Mountain, he certainly had the right to be so arrogant.

Seeing the fear and unease on their faces, Young Master Yang Peicheng sneered again and stared at Chen Fei. ”Now, get on your knees and beg for mercy. Shout ’Daddy, I was wrong’ three times, and then hand over the Herbal Cuisine Workshop unconditionally—”

SLAP!

Before he could finish his sentence, he felt a sharp pain in his cheek. The force of the blow sent him spinning in place.

HISS. The scene instantly fell silent. No one had expected something like this to happen, especially after Young Master Yang had announced his identity. Yet, he was still slapped fiercely across the face.

Gou Qiang was stunned!

Young Master Yang Peicheng himself was dumbfounded!

Zhao Le and Zhang Long were utterly stupefied. That was the vice-governor’s nephew!

”You fucking dare! You fucking dare… Do you know who I am? Are you looking to die?!” With a face full of arrogance and defiance, Yang Peicheng felt like his lungs were about to explode with rage. He couldn’t believe it. He had declared his powerful background, yet the man had still slapped him—a hard slap right across the face. How could he possibly accept such an immense humiliation?

SLAP!

Another crisp slap rang out, and Young Master Yang Peicheng involuntarily spun around again.

”It seems you have a short memory. With a mouth that filthy, are you asking for a beating?” Chen Fei narrowed his eyes and looked coldly at him. Raising his hand again, he began to slap him relentlessly, one strike after another.

A series of piercing screams filled the air as the crowd looked on with incredibly strange expressions.

SLAP! SLAP! SLAP!

The shocking sound of each slap hammered at the hearts of everyone present, making them flinch with every blow.

”Ah! Stop! Ah, stop hitting me! I was wrong, stop! Ah, it hurts so much…” The arrogant, defiant, and outrageously conceited Young Master Yang Peicheng was completely rattled. He never imagined that even invoking his uncle’s name would fail to intimidate this man, and he would still be slapped so furiously.

A cruel smirk touched the corners of Chen Fei’s mouth. He delivered another slap and said coldly, ”Stop hitting me? What were you just saying? Oh, right. Now, get on your knees and beg for mercy. Shout ’Grandpa, I was wrong’ three times… or you’ll face the consequences!”

These were the very words Yang Peicheng himself had spoken just moments ago, now returned to him with a little extra spice. A man should be responsible for his own words, shouldn’t he?

”Don’t even think about it—” SLAP! ”Ah!” Yang Peicheng’s expression had changed drastically at Chen Fei’s demand. He couldn’t believe Chen Fei would dare humiliate him like this, and he began to refuse without hesitation. But in the next moment, another slap landed squarely on his face, leaving a searing, stinging pain.

”I’ll give you a heads-up. It’s fine to be tough, but you should pick your moments. I’m a doctor, so I know that a few more slaps to your face could lead to paralysis.” Chen Fei smiled faintly, a cold glint in his eyes. ”I advise you to hurry up, kneel, and beg. Shout ’Grandpa’ three times. Otherwise, you’ll have to face the consequences!”

At these words, a chill ran down everyone’s spines. A palpable sense of dread arose as their gazes toward Chen Fei filled with terror. He’s serious… Paralysis?!

”You, you, I…”

Yang Peicheng wanted to hold out, but when his eyes met Chen Fei’s, the look in them made his heart contract violently. His entire body trembled as if he had seen something terrifying, and his mind nearly went blank. His courage rapidly evaporated, and his face turned deathly pale.

In the end, Young Master Yang Peicheng couldn’t overcome the fear and the bone-deep chill that had set in. With a dull thud, his body went limp, and he collapsed to the ground, muttering something three times in a voice as faint as a mosquito’s buzz.

Chen Fei couldn’t be bothered to decipher what he was saying. A satisfied smile appeared on his face as he snapped his fingers and said coolly, ”Alright, you can go now. Remember not to fall into my hands again. You should know what will happen if you do.”

With that said, as if no one else was there, he began muttering to himself, ”You’re lucky I know your sister. Otherwise… heh. You’re a grown man now. You’d better learn to be more dependable and stop causing trouble for your family.”

”You know my sister?” Young Master Yang Peicheng was stunned. He hadn’t expected the man to know his sister and still dare to hit him. A wave of panic seized his heart.

Despite this, he gritted his teeth, hung his head, and quickly slunk away. He was terrified that if he stayed any longer, Chen Fei would start hitting him again.

Seeing this, Young Master Gou Qiang was torn about whether to stay or go. In the end, he gritted his teeth and followed.
