As one of the three vice presidents of the Hong Kong Black Market, a true Innate Level Ancient Martial Arts Master, the gray-robed elder leaning on a cane could clearly feel just how terrifying the wild aura erupting from Chen Fei was.

It was an overwhelming presence, like the Yellow River bursting its banks. It was the roar of a tiger, the king of beasts, descending its mountain—a roar that shattered the clouds and made the heart tremble.

Innate! This is definitely a true Innate Expert!

Otherwise, with his current Cultivation Realm, it would be impossible to feel such heavy pressure, like Mount Tai Overhead, making it hard to breathe.

”All of you, leave now. Immediately,” the gray-robed elder commanded the Hong Kong Black Market members behind him, a sharp glint in his profound eyes and an undeniable authority in his voice.

”Yes!”

Hearing the vice president’s order, the Black Market members, who had been terrified by the scene, snapped back to their senses. Without hesitation, they scrambled back into their Rolls-Royces. With the shrill sound of tires screeching against the asphalt, the cars roared into the distance at breakneck speed.

Seeing this, Chen Fei’s fierce eyes flickered. He turned his head and spoke softly to Chen Yaoyang in the driver’s seat of the Phaeton, ”Uncle Yaoyang, you should leave first. I’m all that’s needed here.”

Gulp.

Chen Yaoyang swallowed hard, his expression conflicted. In the end, he bowed to the harsh reality. Lowering his head, he said in a guilt-ridden voice, ”My apologies, Mr. Chen. That man appears to be one of the three vice presidents of the Black Market. Our Chen Family truly cannot afford to offend him. You... please be careful.”

As soon as he finished speaking, Chen Yaoyang drove the Phaeton slowly into the distance, stopping just within sight as if to wait. He dared not, however, get involved in such an earth-shattering battle.

”You must be Chen Fei?” Once the surroundings had emptied, the gray-robed elder’s stern demeanor finally softened. He squinted and smiled faintly.

Clearly, even under the immense pressure of Chen Fei’s fearsome aura, the old man remained perfectly calm. The fact that his expression could still hold a hint of playfulness was a testament to his composure and his absolute confidence in his own power.

But Chen Fei’s current Cultivation Level has already reached the Cultivation World Qi Refining Fourth Layer, equivalent to entering the Innate Early Stage. He can absolutely be called an Innate Level Ancient Martial Artist! Is even that not enough in his eyes? Not enough to be considered an equal? How is this possible? No, it can’t be...

”Who are you?” Chen Fei ignored the playful question, his expression flat and his gaze fierce.

Seeing this, the gray-robed elder frowned slightly. He noted Chen Fei’s obvious hostility, his profound gaze flickered, and he said indifferently, ”There’s no need for such animosity. If I had wanted to act against you back at the Black Market Ancient Castle, you might not have escaped.”

Clearly, for a man of his status, position, realm, and strength, to offer what was essentially an explanation showed considerable sincerity. Chen Fei, however, was not buying it. His gaze grew even more vicious as his aura began to surge.

Back at the ancient castle? If I hadn’t used a Forbidden Technique of Cultivation, wounding myself to escape, who knows what would have happened to me. As for ’might not have escaped’... Heh, anyone can say something like that.

”It seems you don’t believe me?” Noticing Chen Fei’s cold and fierce expression, the gray-robed elder frowned, his aged voice turning chilly. From his perspective, he had already taken the initiative to offer an explanation, a gesture akin to conceding, yet Chen Fei remained unsatisfied and unaccepting. This displeased him. After all, before me, Yama, you are nothing but a junior. Isn’t your attitude a bit too proud?

”Why should I believe you? Besides, what difference does it make if I do or don’t?” Chen Fei retorted with a cold laugh. ”I know you’re an Innate Ancient Martial Artist with a noble status and great power in Hong Kong. But unfortunately for you, I don’t seem to be any weaker than you now. So don’t you think the posture you’re taking with me is a bit much? Or... do you really think I’m afraid of you?” he finished softly, looking the old man straight in the eyes. His tone sent an inexplicable chill down the spine.

”Afraid of me? Sorry, I think you’ve misunderstood,” the gray-robed elder replied, his mouth twisting into a grin. ”I am Yama, and I don’t need your fear.” As he spoke, a strange light flickered in his profound eyes. His fingers flexed, blue veins bulging on his hands as an unimaginable power erupted from his stooped, decrepit body.

With a casual flick of his finger, the purple-red cane lying on the ground flew back into his hand. He then took a mysterious step, and in the blink of an eye, he was in front of Chen Fei, who had no idea how he had appeared. The purple-red cane was raised high, and then it came crashing down with overwhelming force!

”So fast!”

Chen Fei felt the hairs on his body stand on end. His scalp tingled and a chill shot down his spine. He never expected his opponent to be so astonishingly fast, with an aura as deep as an abyssal ocean—like the coldest, deadliest whirlpool in a subterranean cavern, silent but fatal.

In that instant, he finally understood the old man’s earlier words. Indeed, Yama didn’t need him to be afraid; he could just beat the fear into him. What was the difference? None at all.

However, Chen Fei was not so useless as to be completely helpless. His figure trembled and, in the blink of an eye, vanished from the spot.

SSSHHK!

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!

Half a breath after he disappeared, the purple-red cane tore through the air where he had been standing. It missed him by a hair’s breadth, ripping away a fragment of his clothing that floated in the air for an instant before the cane smashed into the ground, unleashing an unimaginable shockwave and a deafening roar.

”He actually dodged it?” The gray-robed elder stared in a daze at the deeply cracked pavement, muttering to himself in disbelief.

Honestly, he had never expected Chen Fei to evade the attack. He had only intended to teach the kid a small lesson.

”I have to admit, you’re the first junior to manage that in front of me,” the elder then remarked with a dry sigh, withdrawing his imposing aura. ”You should know, even an ordinary expert at the Early Stage of Innate Ancient Martial Arts might not have been able to dodge that attack. You, kid, are quite impressive.”

”Early Stage of Innate Ancient Martial Arts?” Chen Fei muttered, touching the red mark on his arm and hissing softly. It was a little painful.

What is the Early Stage of Innate Ancient Martial Arts?

”It seems you are unaware.” Seeing Chen Fei’s confusion, the gray-robed elder chuckled and began to elaborate, ”Innate Ancient Martial Artist isn’t a single Cultivation Realm, but the name for a Great Realm. This Great Realm is divided from low to high into three stages: Early Stage, Middle Stage, and Late Stage. At best, you are merely at the Early Stage. I, on the other hand, broke through to the Middle Stage of Innate Ancient Martial Arts ten years ago. So you are no match for me right now, understand?”

So that’s how it is. Early, Middle, and Late Stages... Chen Fei finally understood. The reason the man’s power felt so oppressive was because there was an entire stage separating them. No wonder.

Despite this, not a trace of fear showed on his face. He said calmly, ”So what if you’re at the Middle Stage of Innate Ancient Martial Arts? It seems you still can’t do much to me, can you?” Based on their exchange, he was certain that while the elder was stronger, the gap was limited. He couldn’t be truly overpowered.

The gray-robed elder’s expression froze. He looked up at Chen Fei, speechless for a long time.

”Alright. As I said before, there’s no need for you to harbor such hostility towards me…” the old man said softly after a long silence.

But Chen Fei cut him off unceremoniously, a slight smile playing on his lips even as his eyes remained fierce. ”I think you owe me an explanation. Otherwise, you should know I’m not afraid of trouble. You can’t handle me now, but let’s see what happens in a few years. Maybe then, I should just hope you’re still alive. Heh.”

”Are you threatening me?” The gray-robed elder frowned deeply again, his tone turning hostile. For the first time, he felt a faint, formless pressure. A twenty-something-year-old at the Early Stage of Innate Ancient Martial Arts... Give him a few more years, and he really might...

”Yes, I am threatening you. Or would you rather throw me in the ocean to feed the sharks?” Chen Fei grinned, baring his teeth, his tone as casual as if asking if he’d had dinner.

Yet here he was, threatening a true Innate Expert, and a Middle Stage one at that. If word of this got out, it would stun countless people into silence.

”Boy, do you believe that based on your words alone, I could make the Chen Family you’re so close to disappear from Hong Kong overnight?” the gray-robed elder stared at Chen Fei, his voice turning ice-cold.

”Go ahead,” Chen Fei replied, still smiling. ”Or you could give me five years. I’ll let you see for yourself. The Hong Kong Black Market—I’ll have it wiped from the face of this Earth, never to recover!”

This time, his tone truly made the gray-robed elder shiver.

W-Wipe the Hong Kong Black Market from the face of the Earth? Is this kid a madman?!
