I Can Devour Monsters' SSS Talents

[True Sequence]

[The complete structure of an observed Skill can now be analyzed.]

[Mana route, activation pattern, initiation point, peak point, and structural instability can be identified.]

[Existing structural weaknesses will be displayed to the holder.]

[Possible methods of interruption, redirection, neutralization, and counteraction will be calculated.]

[Analysis time depends on Skill complexity and rank.]

[ increases spiritual defense and sense of identity by 150%, and enhances resistance against attacks that target the user’s identity and existence ]

[ All mental attacks below the third evolution are reduced by 50% ]

This was a major change.

True Sequence no longer only learned movements and patterns, it could dissect a Skill.

If a magic skill needed Mana to pass through three points to activate, it could find the weakest point.

If a Skill became unstable for a short moment before being released, the Skill would show it.

If there was a way to redirect it, its method would be suggested.

”This is better than I thought.” He said with serious satisfaction.

Among all his innate skills, it had been the least useful and least valuable one before the evolution, but now, with the changes it had gone through, this might change.

”I guess I have seen all the changes.” He thought for a moment, he had checked everything that had evolved.

And now it was time to check the new parts of the system.

[Traits]

Lian focused on it, as far as he knew about this new section, they were a type of secondary booster, traits that affected his main abilities.

And five names appeared.

[Skill Overdrive]

[Level: 0/10]

[Level 1 Effect: Skill power increased by 10% for 10 seconds.]

[Each additional level adds +10% Skill power and +10 seconds duration.]

Level ten would increase Skill power by one hundred percent for one hundred seconds, almost one minute and forty seconds.

For Divine-level Skills, it was terrifying and could make a very big difference.

He opened the next one.

[Quick Mana]

[Level: 0/10]

[Each level increases Mana recovery speed by 10%.]

Level ten would basically make his normal Mana recovery speed twice as fast, simple but very useful, especially for him because there had been many times when he had run out of Mana in the middle of a battle.

[Lifesteal]

[Level: 0/10]

[Level 1: 1% activation chance per successful hit.]

[On activation, the holder restores an amount equal to 2% of damage inflicted.]

[Each level adds +1% activation chance and +2% restoration value.]

Lian calculated it for a few seconds.

Level ten had a ten percent activation chance and would restore twenty percent of the damage dealt as body recovery, in a long battle, especially against a Monster with a huge body, it could be the difference between surviving and dying.

Simply put, this trait helped him randomly recover part of the damage he had received in exchange for some of the attacks he landed.

In long and exhausting battles, it had a lot of use and could also make a very big difference.

[Force Spike]

[Level: 0/10]

[Level 1:]

[1% chance for an attack to gain +10% power.]

[Each level adds +1% activation chance and +10% bonus power.]

Level ten had a ten percent activation chance and one hundred percent more power.

That meant that about one out of every ten attacks could, on average, land with twice the power.

Of course, it was random.

Because of that, he could not build an exact battle plan around it, but if one of his heavy attacks activated it at the same time, the result could have a very major effect on the outcome of the battle.

And the last option.

[Natural Armor]

[Level: 0/10]

[Each level increases the body’s natural defensive power by 50%.]

Level ten would increase the body’s natural defense by five hundred percent.

And because this increase was applied directly to his body, Skills such as Diamond Skin would later work on a much stronger base.

A five hundred percent increase in the body’s defensive power was a very large number.

Lian returned to Skill Overdrive.

He pressed the upgrade button.

[Upgrade Cost — Level 1: 100 Fragments.]

He frowned.

”Only level one costs one hundred?” Lian said with dissatisfaction, this amount was very high, and that was only for one upgrade.

Naturally, every upgrade would cost more than the previous one and God knew how much would be needed to reach level ten.

He calculated it in his mind for a few moments, just bringing one trait to level ten required thousands of Fragments.

If he wanted to max out all five traits, the number would enter the tens of thousands.

This number was crazy, Fragments were not something that dropped from every Monster for sure and the chance of getting them was low.

Quests and powerful enemies were the main sources.

Now he understood why even among powerful Awakened, level ten Traits were considered rare.

It should be remembered that these were secondary boosts, and for the strongest Awakened, where even the smallest difference in power could decide the result of a battle and guarantee their advantage, these boosts were extremely important.

But it did not seem like maxing them would be easy or something that would happen anytime soon.

Of course, he also had one advantage, because of the Wolf Slayer title, he could get Fragments from any wolf-type Monster without exception.

It seemed that from now on, he had no choice but to hunt only wolves.

Then he went to the next section.

[Skill Fusion]

Skill Fusion was one of the most famous parts of the system among Awakened after their second evolution, because they could randomly obtain very powerful Skills from it.

There were even records of some people managing to obtain Skills with Holy potential through this method.

Lian opened it.

[Skill Fusion unlocked.]

[A minimum of 2 and a maximum of 3 Skills can be fused.]

[The resulting Skill will depend on rank, nature, compatibility, and structure of selected Skills.]

[Fusion requires Fragments.]

[Fragment cost varies based on input Skills.]

[Incompatible combinations will be rejected before payment.]

[After successful fusion, the original Skills will be permanently merged into the resulting Skill.]

For a moment, he thought about his list of Skills.

Thunder Step.

Fallen Wolf Speed.

Maybe combining those two completely different movement Skills could create something much more powerful and with greater potential.

Or his Frost Skills, or even combining a defensive Skill with a movement Skill, there were many possibilities but the problem was also obvious.

Fragments.

Everything now required Fragments.

”Looks like I need to take collecting Fragments more seriously from now on.” Lian said with a quiet sigh.

Then he saw a section that immediately took all of his attention, this was not a normal section that every Awakened received after evolution.

This was a section that only he had.

[Ruined Heart]

[Available Seats: 5.]

[Completed Seats: 1.]

[Black Silence — Devoured.]

[Power Invocation unlocked.]

His eyes stayed on the last option and he opened it.

[Borrow the power of a devoured Calamity temporarily.]

[Current Invocation Duration: 30 seconds.]

[Available Calamity: Black Silence.]

[After invocation, the corresponding seat requires 24 hours to stabilize.]

Thirty seconds.

Only thirty seconds.

But if the system really meant the ”power of Black Silence”, even thirty seconds seemed more than enough.

He could borrow the power of a Calamity, the power of an existence that could drive worlds into madness.

Did this mean that he could now do the same...?

But he did not know how it worked or exactly what powers he would gain when he activated it, and he would not know until he actually used it.

But there was no need to rush, just being able to use the power of Black Silence now was already far beyond his expectations.

Then he moved on to the last section.

[Innate Traits Tree.]

[Class: Monster.]

This was also a section that all Awakened gained access to after their first evolution, but it was different from the normal Traits section.

Traits were general and the same for everyone without any difference.

But Innate Traits were different for every Awakened and completely depended on their evolved Class, and the Traits related to their Class were placed inside it.

When he opened it, eight locked branches appeared in front of him.

They all came out from one central point where the name ”Monster” was placed.

And to unlock each branch, he needed to pay Fragments as expected... but the required cost was so high that his eyes widened when he saw it.

”You have to be kidding me? Fucking 4,500 Fragments?! for what?”
