The Beautiful CEO's Personal Mad Doctor

Chapter 59: Chapter 59: First Date

Before meeting Zhang Zhigang, this would have been a real headache for Cheng Yuan. After all, he wasn’t part of the antique world and didn’t know any master appraisers.

But now, Cheng Yuan’s expression was completely calm.

”Leave the master antique appraiser to me. I’ll also contact the wealthy merchants. If Huanya Auction House dares to hold their opening auction on the same day as ours, we’ll definitely crush them.”

Lin Ruoxi stared blankly at Cheng Yuan, completely clueless as to where his confidence was coming from.

It was only then that Lin Ruoxi noticed Cheng Yuan had changed.

He was no longer disheveled. His hair was meticulously styled, his face was clean-shaven, and his clothes were neat and tidy. He looked incredibly fresh and clean.

Lin Ruoxi’s heart couldn’t help but flutter wildly.

From the moment she first saw Cheng Yuan, Lin Ruoxi had been a sucker for his looks. Now, her favorable impression of him had grown even stronger.

”Cheng Yuan, if you can really find a reliable master antique appraiser, I can give you a little reward.”

”Oh? What kind of reward?”

Lin Ruoxi gave a mysterious smile. ”It’s a secret for now. I’ll tell you then. I’m starving! Let’s eat.”

Lin Ruoxi sat down at the dinner table and began to sample the food Cheng Yuan had prepared. The taste was unexpectedly good.

Lin Ruoxi’s family of three couldn’t stop praising it.

Cheng Yuan had already eaten earlier. He quietly watched Lin Ruoxi eat. He had to admit, watching a beautiful woman eat was its own kind of pleasure.

Lin Ruoxi ate elegantly, but she wasn’t slow. In less than ten minutes, she patted her slightly bulging belly, a look of pure satisfaction on her face.

Hua Yao also praised, ”I never expected Xiaocheng to be such a treasure trove of talent. I’m starting to understand why Ruoxi married you.”

”Hahaha, Mom, you’re too kind.”

Full and satisfied, Hua Yao yawned. ”It’s been a long day, we’re going to get some rest.”

With that, Hua Yao pulled Lin Xinghe into the bedroom, leaving the two young people with some space.

Cheng Yuan extended an invitation to Lin Ruoxi. ”Ruoxi, we’ve been registered for a few days now, but we’ve never been on a date. How about we go for a walk later?”

Lin Ruoxi hesitated. Cheng Yuan had changed so much today, and she was more than willing to go for a walk with him, but she was just too tired.

”How about another day? I’m a bit tired today and want to rest early.”

Cheng Yuan smiled slightly. ”Let me give you a massage. You won’t be tired for long.”

As he spoke, Cheng Yuan walked up behind Lin Ruoxi and gently placed his hands on her shoulders.

Lin Ruoxi’s delicate frame trembled slightly, but she didn’t pull away. After all, his hands were over her clothes, and he was only touching her shoulders.

Even through the fabric, Cheng Yuan could feel how incredibly delicate she was. Lin Ruoxi’s skin was just too smooth and soft.

Cheng Yuan took a deep breath to calm himself, then began to circulate the Celestial Witch Heart Method, sending a stream of True Qi into her to alleviate her fatigue.

At first, Lin Ruoxi was a little nervous. After all, she rarely had this kind of physical contact with men.

But as the True Essence slowly flowed through her body, a relaxed expression appeared on Lin Ruoxi’s face.

’This feels so good... It’s like being in a sauna, as if every cell in my body is completely relaxing.’

「Five minutes later.」

Lin Ruoxi stretched her body and looked at Cheng Yuan in pleasant surprise. ”I’m not tired at all anymore! Cheng Yuan, I had no idea you had this kind of skill.”

”Well, I am a doctor! So, can we go on our date now?”

Lin Ruoxi nodded slightly. ”Seeing as you’ve been on your best behavior these past few days, I suppose I can reluctantly agree this once! Wait for me, I’m going to change into something more casual.”

”Okay.”

Lin Ruoxi went back to her room and changed into a tracksuit.

Cheng Yuan was stunned. Lin Ruoxi was a true chameleon.

A moment ago in her formal wear, she was the spitting image of a powerful, mature CEO—capable, a little intimidating, and seemingly out of his league.

But now, in her tracksuit, she was brimming with youthful energy, the very definition of a campus goddess!

If the current Lin Ruoxi were to set foot on a university campus, she would absolutely turn every head and instantly capture the hearts of all the innocent young men there.

”Ruoxi, you’re so beautiful.”

”Enough with the sweet talk. Let’s go!”

Cheng Yuan quickly followed after Lin Ruoxi. Soon, the two of them left the small villa and began to stroll aimlessly through the residential complex.

Emperor Nine truly lived up to its reputation as one of Luocheng’s most high-end residential communities. The landscaping was excellent, with plenty of tranquil little paths perfect for a couple’s stroll.

This was their first real date since they had met.

Walking along the quiet path, listening to the chirping of insects and croaking of frogs, Cheng Yuan felt a bit awkward. He didn’t know what to do with his hands. He wanted to hold Lin Ruoxi’s hand, but he was worried it would be too forward.

Lin Ruoxi, on the other hand, was more natural. She walked ahead with her hands clasped behind her back, taking playful little skips.

After walking like this for about ten minutes, Cheng Yuan was getting antsy. ’How can I break the ice?’

An idea quickly sparked in Cheng Yuan’s mind.

Cheng Yuan activated his Double Pupil and scanned his surroundings.

In a patch of grass about ten meters away lay a discarded hemp rope. In the dim evening light, it looked just like a small snake.

’Most girls are afraid of snakes, right?’

The corners of Cheng Yuan’s mouth turned up slightly. He pushed his Spiritual Power to its limit, activating his Mystical Object Ability.

The discarded hemp rope began to writhe, just like a slithering snake.

RUSTLE, RUSTLE.

The rope rustled against the grass, making a series of noises.

Lin Ruoxi turned her head toward the sound and vaguely saw a small snake squirming in the grass. She jumped in fright and instinctively moved closer to Cheng Yuan.

”A snake! There’s a snake!!”

Cheng Yuan seized the opportunity to grab Lin Ruoxi’s small hand. ”Ruoxi, don’t panic. It’s just a little critter. I’m here, no one’s going to hurt you.”

As he spoke, Cheng Yuan sent the wriggling ”Little Snake” flying with a kick.

Lin Ruoxi, not realizing Cheng Yuan was now holding her hand, said reproachfully, ”What is the management at Emperor Nine even doing? It’s lucky this snake ran into us. What if it had bitten a child? I’m definitely filing a complaint tomorrow.”

’Lin Ruoxi’s hands are so well-maintained. They could definitely be used for a hand model.’

’Her palm is soft, her fingers are delicate and slender, and her skin is like beautiful jade, faintly glowing in the dark.’

’So delicate.’

’So soft.’

Cheng Yuan found it hard to let go.

While holding Lin Ruoxi’s small hand, Cheng Yuan readily agreed, joining her in denouncing the management. ”Yes, yes, yes, the management is completely heartless! We have to complain!”

Lin Ruoxi glanced around, a little wary. ”Cheng Yuan, let’s take a different path. It would be bad if we ran into another snake.”

Cheng Yuan nodded and led Lin Ruoxi toward another path.

Lin Ruoxi quickly recovered from her fright and suddenly realized that Cheng Yuan was holding her hand. Her heart abruptly began to beat a little faster.

’Is this what it feels like to be in love?’

’So far, it feels pretty good.’
