The Beautiful CEO's Personal Mad Doctor

Chapter 56: Chapter 56: The Old Man’s Wisdom

Everyone quickly agreed.

Led by Cheng Yuan, the group walked into the villa.

They had already found the villa magnificent from the outside, but once inside, they discovered a level of luxury that was simply indescribable.

A Baroque-style crystal chandelier.

Rococo-style wall tiles and wallpaper.

A medieval-style fireplace and dining table.

The walls were adorned with oil paintings that exuded a sense of history.

All sorts of appliances, some familiar and some not.

If one had to use a few words to describe it, they would be: high-end, grand, and classy!

Everyone felt like country bumpkins visiting a grand palace, completely dazzled by everything they saw.

Cheng Yuan couldn’t help but chuckle inwardly. When he first visited Shen Manwen’s villa, he had felt much the same as everyone else.

It was all thanks to Shen Manwen’s detailed explanation of all the high-end appliances; otherwise, he’d be just as dumbfounded right now.

”Don’t be so formal, everyone. Feel free to look around.”

With Cheng Yuan’s approval, the elders remained relatively reserved, touring in a group at a slow pace. The younger generation, however, scattered like excited children, running all over the place.

”Whoa! Such a high-end home theater? Who would ever go to the cinema again?”

”Is this... is this a physical therapy room? And a sauna?”

”Oh my god, the equipment in this gym is so complete! I’m truly shocked!”

”I’m going to lose my mind, there’s even a small indoor basketball court! Big Cousin, you have to come see this!”

...

Wu Xiuli was a traditional housewife, so the place she was most interested in was the kitchen. But when she got there, Wu Xiuli was stunned.

’This... this is too big, isn’t it?’

Moreover, it was an open-plan kitchen, equipped with every imaginable utensil.

There were five or six burners, three or four sinks, an oven, a water purifier, and various other kitchen appliances. There were also five or six different cutting boards and several knife sets, each containing a dozen or more knives...

Even Wu Xiulan was clicking her tongue in amazement. This kitchen was so high-end; the back kitchen of a five-star hotel would be no better than this.

Wu Xiuli gave a wry smile. ”Xiaoyuan, this kitchen is just too advanced, isn’t it? Mom could live in a kitchen like this for a whole year...”

Cheng Yuan smiled. ”Mom, I brought you here to enjoy life, not to wait on us. From now on, we’ll just have the housekeeper cook.”

Wu Xiuli shot Cheng Yuan an exasperated look. ”What do you mean, hire a housekeeper? What a waste of money! It’s not like your mother can’t move anymore!”

Cheng Yuan just smiled without saying a word.

Standing to the side, Wu Xiulan smiled and explained, ”Big Sis, you should listen to Xiaoyuan. There’s a lot of work involved in living in a villa. A house this big, just the cleaning alone is a massive project. Besides, when Xiaoyuan has kids in the future, you’ll have to watch them. Where will you find the time to cook?”

Wu Xiuli was taken aback and instinctively glanced around the enormous villa. ’That’s right, a villa this huge... it would be a bit stressful for me to clean it all by myself.’

”But, hiring someone is too expensive.”

Wu Xiulan laughed. ”Xiaoyuan’s villa is worth 260 million. If that 260 million were put in a bank, the annual interest could hire several hundred housekeepers. Since Xiaoyuan can afford the villa, he certainly isn’t short on this little bit of cash.”

Uh...

’I guess the math checks out.’

But Wu Xiuli still couldn’t quite wrap her head around it.

The group left the kitchen and moved on to tour the bathroom.

The bathroom was massive, at least fifty or sixty square meters. In the center was a large bathtub, surrounded by all the latest bathroom fixtures, leaving everyone breathless.

Wu Xiuhua said with a wry smile, ”This is too big. One bathroom is almost bigger than our whole apartment!”

Liu Zhengyun also gave a wry smile. ”Yeah, our place is 74 square meters. If you subtract the common area, it’s not even as big as this bathroom!”

Wu Renguang was at a loss for words. ”The key thing is, there are seven or eight bathrooms like this in the main building...”

After they had seen everything.

Everyone was both excited and a little disappointed.

They were excited because they had seen the most high-end villa in Luocheng.

They were disappointed because they could only look, with no chance of living here.

Even if Cheng Yuan invited them to stay, it would only be for two or three days at most.

Wu Xiulan suppressed her disappointment and turned to Wu Xiuhua. ”Second Sis, we’re done with the main building. Shall we go see your auxiliary building?”

”Uh... okay.”

The luxury of the auxiliary building was slightly less than the main building, but it could still easily put their own large flats to shame!

After all, the auxiliary building alone was nearly eight hundred square meters!

After touring Auxiliary Building Number One, everyone had very complicated feelings.

They deeply regretted not ”investing” in Cheng Yuan earlier. Otherwise, Auxiliary Building Number Two would have been theirs!

As a businesswoman, Wu Xiulan was thick-skinned. She looked at Cheng Yuan with a fawning expression. ”Xiaoyuan, there are only three people in your family; you can’t even fill the main building. Could you transfer Auxiliary Building Number Two to your Third Aunt?”

Cheng Yuan nodded calmly. ”I can.”

Wu Xiulan was ecstatic. ”We’re close relatives, after all. You have to look out for your Third Aunt. I can scrape together five million at most right now. What do you think?”

Five million??

Hearing this number, everyone’s expression turned odd.

That price was an absolute steal, no different from daylight robbery.

However, compared to Wu Xiuhua’s five yuan, it seemed incredibly sincere.

Everyone stared intently at Cheng Yuan, wondering how he would respond.

Cheng Yuan smiled faintly. ”If Third Aunt can only come up with five million, you can buy the attic of Auxiliary Building Number Two.”

’Only buy the attic?’

At market price, buying the attic for five million was still a bargain. After all, Auxiliary Building Number Two had three floors including the attic. Though it was called an attic, most of the rooms were perfectly usable.

But these words left Wu Xiulan speechless.

’Isn’t Xiaoyuan just slapping me in the face?’

’Second Sis bought an entire building for five yuan, but I offer five million and can only buy an attic?’

”If it’s just the attic, I’ll... have to think about it...”

”Mm, let me know whenever you’ve made up your mind, Third Aunt.”

With that, Cheng Yuan stopped paying attention to Wu Xiulan and turned to the old man. ”Grandpa, why don’t you move into the main villa? It’ll be more convenient for us to take care of you. Your legs aren’t what they used to be, and going upstairs is difficult.”

Wu Renguang and Wu Xiulan subconsciously exchanged a glance. They opened their mouths but didn’t have the courage to argue with Cheng Yuan over who would house the old man.

After all, their large flats couldn’t possibly compare to the villa.

The old man, Wu Renqing, knew full well that his children all yearned for a place in the villa. Since that was the case, he, the old fellow, would be the good guy this time.

He raised his hand and pointed to Auxiliary Building Number Two.

”Xiaoyuan, it’s fine for your grandpa to live in Auxiliary Building Number Two.”

Cheng Yuan shook his head repeatedly. ”No, how could that be acceptable? How can Grandpa live in an auxiliary building? You must live in the main building. I’ll pick out the best room for you on the first floor.”

Wu Xiuli and Cheng Hongbing also chimed in to persuade him.

”Dad, if we live in the main building while you live in an auxiliary one, isn’t that like you’re scolding us for being unfilial?”

The old man smiled. ”Xiuli, Hongbing, Xiaoyuan, don’t worry. I know you’re all filial. But they are my children and grandchildren too. They should also fulfill their filial duties and come take care of me. If I live in the main building, how inconvenient would that be? It’s much more convenient to live in Auxiliary Building Number Two.”
