Rebirth: Splendid Marriage in the 80s

Chapter 2900: Chapter 2836: Just a Pest

Most of the time it was just the two of them; when Yang Zhiqi came back to eat, he was always in a rush. He would leave right after a few words, saying he was busy with official duties.

Now that Little was here to accompany them, they were truly overjoyed.

When they reached the apartment, Old Yang unlocked the door, and Little carried the stuff inside, ”Grandma Yang, what should I help with? Just tell me what to do.”

”No need, no need. If you’re not used to doing this, instructing you might take longer than doing it myself,” Old Madam Yang said, ”Listen to Grandma, why don’t you go tidy up a bit at home, wash your face. I’ll start cooking the rice and then take my time picking the vegetables with your Grandpa. If I need your help, I’ll call you.”

As she said this, Old Madam Yang gently pushed Little out the door.

Little smiled, seeing that they both seemed fine, and didn’t insist further.

She took out the key and opened the door to Meng Xinian’s room.

She hadn’t been here in a while, and it hadn’t been occupied, so it wasn’t dirty, just a little dusty.

She would be staying here at night, so of course, it needed a good cleaning.

After tidying up the room, she took a shower, sat at Meng Xinian’s desk, and picked up the white porcelain cup she had given him, pressing it against her face.

Sigh, she missed Tyrant Meng so much.

She thought if he came back now, she would accept anything he did to her.

Even if he devoured her without a word, she would lay down and let him.

Little’s face felt hot.

After some thought, she took out a half-piece of the Thousand Mile Talisman Diagram, went inside, and stuffed it into his pillowcase.

If one day he returns and calls the Capital City right away, she could instantly appear in front of him! She would see him first thing.

That way, she would see the truest version of him, just back from Country U, not the tidied-up version ready to meet her.

With these thoughts, Little patted the pillow and lay down.

Just thinking that this bed had been slept in by Meng Xinian made her feel surrounded by his masculine presence.

”Brother Xinian...”

”Little!”

The door outside was suddenly rapped upon.

Little heard Yang Zhiqi’s voice, quickly tidied up her clothes, and rushed out to open the door.

”Uncle Yang.”

”You really did come? I thought my dad and mom were joking with me,” Yang Zhiqi laughed heartily.

”Why would Grandpa Yang and Grandma Yang trick you?”

”Why did you suddenly come over? Is there something wrong?”

While Yang Zhiqi was happy to see Little, he was a little worried if something was wrong with her.

”Uncle Yang,” Little thought for a moment, went inside, and took out the envelope, ”I wanted to find out where this letter was sent from. The staff at the Capital City Post Office said, judging by the postmark, it was sent from Anbu Town.”

Yang Zhiqi took the envelope, examined it closely, frowned, ”It doesn’t seem special, and there’s no address. It’s hard to trace where it came from.”

Little had hoped he might know, but hearing this, she couldn’t help but feel a bit disappointed.

”Yeah, I asked the post office, and they really couldn’t trace it.”

”Why, did someone send you a strange letter?”

”Yes, they sent a painting. I want to find out who sent it.” Seeing Yang Zhiqi a bit worried, Little shook her head and said, ”But it’s okay, if I can’t find out, I think he might just show up someday. Uncle Yang, don’t worry. Someone who can only use such means is probably not skilled or anything; at most, just a gutter’s stinky bug.”
