Rebirth: Splendid Marriage in the 80s

Chapter 2886: Chapter 2822: A Bit Interested

The next day, Ding Haijing indeed went to discuss Dai Zhongwen’s issue with the newspaper staff.

Jiang Xiao didn’t know how he talked it out, but when the exhibition started, a new photographer indeed showed up.

However, this photographer seemed a bit amateurish and made several small mistakes midway through.

Jiang Xiao put up with it all.

”The best at the agency is Chen Dong, but to many, Dai Zhongwen is considered better,” Ji Qin said to Jiang Xiao after finishing her work. ”So, quite a few people couldn’t understand why you didn’t want Dai Zhongwen and insisted on replacing him. They even felt sorry for Dai Zhongwen.”

Jiang Xiao was mentally prepared for such a reaction.

But she didn’t care.

It didn’t matter what those people said about her.

After all, she really didn’t want Dai Zhongwen to photograph her.

Now she wanted to know something else: ”I want to know, were those photos from the last shoot handed over to someone else? I hope they’re not still handled by Dai Zhongwen?”

When the interview is published in the newspapers and magazines, she couldn’t stop Dai Zhongwen from getting her photos from them, but she just didn’t want those negatives to remain in Dai Zhongwen’s hands.

”I’ve already asked him to hand them over,” Ji Qin said. ”He originally wanted to talk to the editor-in-chief to let him handle those photos, but the editor said the condition was to have those photos brought back here, and then someone from your side would select them with me. During this process, people from your side must be present and involved.”

The people from her side, wasn’t that Ding Haijing?

Jiang Xiao wanted to laugh.

Although Ding Haijing scoffed at her term of a manager, he was clearly doing a manager’s job.

She hadn’t expected he had already sorted things out with the newspaper.

This way, she wouldn’t have to worry about the negatives falling into Dai Zhongwen’s hands.

”Xiao Chiang, is that Mr. Ding really your bodyguard?” Ji Qin thought for a moment and couldn’t help but ask. ”Isn’t his partner unhappy with him spending the entire day with you?”

Hearing the way she asked, Jiang Xiao immediately raised an eyebrow.

The meaning behind Ji Qin’s question was clear.

Did she have a crush on Ding Haijing?

Love at first sight?

In her view, although Ji Qin wasn’t very pretty, her eyes were bright and beautiful, and she was smart, agile, and kind. She also had a reporter’s job, which was responsible, making her a rather good prospect.

However, her job wasn’t matchmaking, so she definitely wouldn’t worry about this on Ding Haijing’s behalf.

”He currently doesn’t have a partner.” But since it was true that Ding Haijing was single, she just stated the fact.

Moreover, after saying this, she couldn’t help but observe Ji Qin and found, as expected, a hint of joy and shyness on Ji Qin’s face.

Indeed, Ji Qin’s earlier question was to find out if Ding Haijing had a partner.

Now that she learned Ding Haijing was single, Ji Qin felt a bit of a thrill.

”So he will be helping you handle things here in the future, right?” Ji Qin asked again.

”Probably.”

”That’s good, that’s good,” Ji Qin said, a bit unsure of what else to say, only able to express ”that’s good” to cover her own shyness and slight panic.

Jiang Xiao, however, kind of wanted to ask her if she didn’t think that Ding Haijing being her bodyguard was a rather unconvincing job.
