Rebirth: Splendid Marriage in the 80s

Chapter 2239: Chapter 2175: Already a Tycoon

Ah Liu shook his head.

”Back then, I deposited a sum of money with my sister and told her to invest it. Over the years, she made quite a bit of money with it and kept saving it for me. After my surgery, she returned the money to me.”

Chiang Xiao found it incredibly unbelievable.

Twenty years ago, he saved a sum of money with Jiang Yingqiong and even entrusted her with investing it?

That’s truly impressive.

Seeing Chiang Xiao’s eyes widen, Ah Liu thought she looked adorable, her mouth slightly open, eyes wide, her black pupils like black gemstones, sparkling and beautiful.

His heart softened, and he began to explain to her.

”In the Jiang Family, during any festival, many people would send gifts and red envelopes. These finances were managed by parents before the age of ten, and after the age of ten, you could manage them yourself. How you use it is your own decision. But generally, kids in the Jiang Family start learning how to make their money grow after the age of ten.”

Chiang Xiao listened in a daze.

”Because your great-grandfather valued me in the Jiang Family, every year I received the most gifts. Before the age of fifteen, I invested those funds in family businesses every year, so after five years, I had made quite a bit.”

At this point, Ah Liu held up three fingers in front of Chiang Xiao.

Chiang Xiao said blankly, ”Thirty thousand?”

Before the age of fifteen, he had saved thirty thousand? Twenty years ago, having thirty thousand was already quite remarkable, wasn’t it?

Unexpectedly, Ah Liu seemed amused by her, laughing with his eyes slightly curving.

”My silly daughter, you’re underestimating your father’s abilities. It’s three hundred thousand.”

”Pfft!”

He had saved three hundred thousand by the age of fifteen?

Though this was her father, Chiang Xiao still thought, comparing oneself to others can really drive one crazy.

”Later, not long before my accident,” Ah Liu’s smile faded as he spoke, ”I felt that the deaths of my parents, your grandparents, weren’t that simple, so I wanted to investigate seriously. At that time, I didn’t know why, but I always felt unusually uneasy.”

Chiang Xiao’s heart skipped a beat.

She couldn’t help but ask, ”So, Dad, you remember things from that time?”

Did he remember from back then already?

”I remember the events before the incident.” Ah Liu said, ”I always felt uneasy in my heart, but I didn’t know what was going on. I didn’t even dream about what was about to happen, so I thought I’d first check if there were any financial discrepancies.”

So, he gave all his money to Jiang Yingqiong.

”At that time, your aunt had already met your uncle, and in his hometown, there were jade stone productions, and many people did jade stone business. I asked her to find reliable friends there and invested that sum in the jade stone business.”

Jade stone...

”Wasn’t aunt suspicious back then? You always managed your own money, and suddenly you handed it all to her.”

”She found it strange, but I told her I needed to focus all my energy on managing the family business and couldn’t tend to everything.” Ah Liu sighed softly, ”Naturally, she wouldn’t doubt me.”

In the following years, the jade stone business indeed made money, and Jiang Yingqiong continued investing that money.

”Until your uncle’s work became more and more distinguished, and his position grew higher; your aunt feared her identity would make it inconvenient to continue these affairs, so she withdrew the money and kept saving it for me. Now, it’s about seven hundred thousand.”

Oh my, even without returning to the Jiang Family, her father was already a wealthy man!
