Rebirth: Splendid Marriage in the 80s

Chapter 2235: Chapter 2171: Not Wanting to Take Advantage of Him

At first, she thought she needed money, and there was so much stuff in the space that she couldn’t possibly use it all; it would be such a waste not to take some out.

But once the store opened, she found that things started to get busier, one after the other.

It seems she needs to find an assistant, given the opportunity, to help her handle these affairs.

”It won’t close; it will only get better and better,” Kuang Yunxian said.

Chiang Xiao smiled.

”Did Brother Kuang bring the contract today?” Although she hadn’t bought it yet, she wanted to see the information about the property and the shop.

Kuang Yunxian took out two documents from a briefcase on a nearby chair, ”I knew you would want to look at them, so I brought them. Take a look first, and if you think the size and location are suitable, we’ll go and check it out in person.”

Chiang Xiao took them and examined them carefully.

Based on her memory, she compared the shop and the house with the situation decades later and suddenly realized that the place where the shop was located would become a landmark tourist spot in Capital City in the future. That street was different from the area near Youqingwei Teahouse; this side was for shopping, leisure, and food, while that side was rich in literary ambiance, even for shopping, it was mostly for literati and scholars willing to spend lavishly.

Of course, it was also a popular filming location for many ancient costume enthusiasts, with a strong historical and cultural atmosphere.

The store wouldn’t even need thirty years; it would be bustling within a few years.

Chiang Xiao pondered for a moment, looked at Kuang Yunxian, and said frankly, ”Brother Kuang, this store is in an excellent location, and it will definitely appreciate in value in the future, with an immeasurable value. You can actually keep it for yourself because selling it would be too much of a loss. By then, the price might increase several dozen times.”

”Several dozen times?” Kuang Yunxian was stunned.

Now, he’s already prepared to sell it for 120,000, which he thought was a very high price. After all, everyone is still focused on finding good jobs, hoping for a stable iron rice bowl, and students hope to get into good schools that offer job placements. Very few are into doing business, and those who do usually use their family’s existing properties. Even if the family doesn’t have one, they would more likely rent rather than specifically buy a shop.

120,000 is certainly not a small amount of money.

Of course, he based this on the current market price, though he lowered it a bit, given he needs cash now. It would be no small issue to come up with such a sum at once, and if it’s to be paid in installments, he doesn’t have the energy to keep following up on this.

Otherwise, with the size of that shop, selling it for 180,000 wouldn’t be a problem.

”An increase by dozens of times?” Kuang Yunxian was taken aback but couldn’t help shaking his head, saying, ”I considered that the shop would increase in price, but not by that much, right?”

”That location is excellent, plus there’s a large space at the corner of this street. If that place is planned out, it will stimulate the whole street’s popularity.”

Since they are friends, Chiang Xiao didn’t want to take advantage of Kuang Yunxian, so she hinted as much as possible.

She mentioned that open space, which would likely be planned into a museum a few years later, leading to road expansion and beautification around it, boosting the prosperity of Baoyan Street.

Whoever buys this shop will make a guaranteed profit, even if they don’t do business; simply holding onto it for a few years will yield multiple times the return by then.

If one is patient enough to wait twenty to thirty years, that indeed would mean a crazy increase by dozens of times.

Of course, if one wants to do business, that location will be hard to come by a few years later, with high rent and plenty of foot traffic.
