Rebirth: Splendid Marriage in the 80s

Chapter 1406: Chapter 1408: Ready to Face

In fact, her grandparents had prepared things for her, and they were all kept in Space, but she was too lazy to carry so many things.

Once she arrived at the dormitory, if things were still the same as before, then she would be the first one to arrive at the dormitory just like before, and she could directly take what she needed from Space later.

Room 301, the first room near the stairwell on the third floor.

Chiang Xiao easily made it to the third floor.

She still remembered how in the past she would be so out of breath after climbing these three floors, and if she was hungry, she would have to stop for a rest when reaching the second floor.

How poor her health was in her previous life.

Now, she could probably manage to climb thirty floors.

The three flights of stairs made Chiang Xiao feel once again the difference between herself and her past life.

Looking at that dormitory, looking at that strange yet familiar door, Chiang Xiao took a deep breath, approached the door, and saw a piece of paper stuck to it.

It listed six names.

These were the six students assigned to this dormitory.

In her past life, their dormitory only had six people in the first semester, after which one student left due to illness, and another... committed suicide.

Later, one student found an excuse to move out, and there were only three people living in the dormitory ever since.

Memories flooded towards her like a tide.

Chiang Xiao looked at her own name on the list and then saw the three characters behind hers.

Ye Wanqing.

Yes, Ye Wanqing was initially in the same room as her. After another student committed suicide, Wanqing said she was a bit scared and applied for a room change.

And that student who committed suicide...

Chiang Xiao’s gaze swept across the list, and she saw the name of that female student.

Xie Landi.

So much would happen in this dormitory.

Chiang Xiao was ready to face it.

Besides Ye Wanqing, there was her college life to experience all over again.

She pushed open the door; as expected, the dormitory was still empty, and like in her past life, she was the first one to arrive.

There were three double-decker metal bunk beds in the dormitory, lined up against two walls. On the side near the door was a single bed, and on the side by the door stood a two-meter-tall metal cabinet, divided into six compartments, each with a key inserted.

Chiang Xiao locked the middle compartment on the inside, pulled out the key, and tossed it into Space.

Then she walked to the bed on this side and placed her backpack on it.

The cabinets and beds were not pre-arranged; it was generally first come, first served.

Previously, she also chose this bed at first, but when Ye Wanqing arrived late and found all the lower bunks taken, she came to Chiang Xiao to ask for an exchange, saying she was afraid of heights.

Although Chiang Xiao was physically weak in her past life, and it was also quite a struggle to climb up and down every day, at that time, she only thought about getting along well with her college roommates, hoping that accommodating them might earn their friendship, so she agreed to swap beds.

The dormitory conditions at the Art Institute were pretty good. Going further inside, there was a bathroom and a toilet—bathroom on the left, toilet on the right, with a small balcony for drying clothes in between, enclosed by an iron railing, where the sun could shine in during winter.

The floors were tiled, and the walls were painted white, making it look very clean and tidy.

Chiang Xiao walked into the bathroom, took out the mat, blanket, mattress, and pillow that her grandmother had prepared for her from Space, and laid them out smoothly and promptly.

The bedding and duvet cover were light purple with beige broken flowers, looking very elegant.

After laying everything out, she went back to the bathroom and took out daily necessities like a plastic bucket, basin, towel, mouthwash cup, and toothbrush. There was a rack on the balcony for placing these items.

Her bucket, basin, and cup all had her name written on them.
