Rebirth: Splendid Marriage in the 80s

Chapter 1405: Chapter 1407: No More Fate

She said this as she handed over the acceptance letter to them.

Both seemed quite worried about being rejected or misunderstood as having ill intentions.

Chiang Xiao’s generosity made them both breathe a slight sigh of relief.

Relations between boys and girls at this time were very different from later on.

Just talking to classmates of the opposite sex needed a lot of courage, and it made you feel very nervous and constrained.

”Are you studying oil painting?”

”Yes.”

”We’re both studying traditional Chinese painting. My name is Sun Shuwei.”

”My name is An Fusheng.”

Chiang Xiao couldn’t remember whether they had introduced themselves like this before, but indeed, she hadn’t known their names before.

”My name is Chiang Xiao.”

Sun Shuwei was slightly taller than An Fusheng, and he looked a bit stronger, but more timid than An Fusheng.

An Fusheng had very small eyes, if you looked from a distance, you wouldn’t be able to tell if he had his eyes open or not.

But both of them exuded a simple and honest quality.

Just like in her past life, they really took Chiang Xiao to register her name, showed her around the campus, introduced each place to her in detail, and then accompanied her to the dormitory.

”We don’t know which room you’ve been assigned to, and boys are not allowed in the girls’ dormitory building. But, you can ask Aunt Qiu at the dormitory,” An Fusheng pointed to a room by the staircase entrance below, saying, ”Aunt Qiu is in that room; she also lives there during the night. If you report your name, she will be able to look up your room number for you.”

”Alright, I got it. Thank you, both senior fellows.”

Chiang Xiao’s openness and composure left Sun Shuwei and An Fusheng with a favorable impression, and also eased their nervousness.

”You’re welcome. By the way, we live in the dormitory building up ahead, room 315. If you ever need help, you can ask Aunt Qiu to call us for you.”

”Okay.”

”Well then, Chiang Xiao, see you another day.”

Sun Shuwei and An Fusheng waved to her, then turned and walked away.

Chiang Xiao remembered, in her past life they seemed to have said the same ”see you another day” to her. But afterwards, they never met again; maybe she hadn’t seen them around the campus either?

Could it be that they were fated to never meet again?

Chiang Xiao shook her head, walking into the dormitory.

The art school would arrange a dormitory for you regardless of whether you had a place to stay outside; if you didn’t return at night, you had to report to and register with Aunt Qiu, giving a reason for not staying in the dormitory and signing your name.

Chiang Xiao walked over, peered out the window facing the staircase, and indeed saw the familiar Aunt Qiu from her past life.

Aunt Qiu was called that because of her surname and also because she was quite plump, looking round, so all the girls in the dormitory called her ”Ball Auntie.”

She actually knew about this, but never got angry.

Aunt Qiu was sitting at the table facing the window, and when she looked up and saw Chiang Xiao’s bright face, she was stunned for a moment, then quickly reacted, ”First-year freshman?”

”Yes.”

”What’s your name?”

”Chiang Xiao.”

As soon as Chiang Xiao reported her name, Aunt Qiu flipped through the register on the table, her finger sliding over the list, and quickly found Chiang Xiao’s name.

”Your room is 301, go up by yourself.” She took another look at Chiang Xiao, surprised, ”Where is your luggage?”

She had never seen anyone who came with just such a small backpack.

Chiang Xiao knew she was referring to things like bedding and mattresses, so she replied, ”I will go out and buy them in a bit.”
