Extraordinary Realm from Persuasion System

Chapter 99: Chapter 95: The Popular Zhang Beixing

After resolving the biggest issue with cultivating Internal Boxing—’Qi’—things started to become simpler. Zhang Beixing only needed to point out how to circulate Qi and through which areas it should pass, assisting her in the process.

Chen Rourou was very obedient. Whatever Zhang Beixing said, she did, without any objections. Of course, this was mainly because she didn’t dare to defy him.

But this process, well... Chen Rourou’s face was now red to the base of her neck. This was partly due to shyness. After all, as a young maiden, being touched on her back by a man was definitely not something she was used to. On the other hand, it was the effects of the Northern Sect’s Eight Pieces of Brocade.

Feeling the Qi and Blood coursing through her body, Chen Rourou was immensely shocked! She had thought Zhang Beixing was just joking around. But to her surprise, he was serious! He had actually deciphered their Chen Family’s unique ultimate skill in just five days, using her grandfather’s martial arts training videos. He not only learned it but had even started to teach it!

This... Chen Rourou was astounded, finding it all incomprehensible and feeling deeply shaken. At the same time, she started to panic a bit. She really hadn’t expected Zhang Beixing to master it. Hadn’t she just exposed the secrets of the Chen Family’s ultimate skill? If her grandfather found out about this...

While she was lost in thought, a crisp sound, SNAP—, echoed. Chen Rourou felt a sharp pain in her head, followed immediately by Zhang Beixing’s scolding voice, ”Tuck in your abdomen, puff out your chest! We’re doing Martial Arts Training; what are you daydreaming about?”

”Oof...” Hearing his rebuke, Chen Rourou didn’t dare complain. She quickly responded and continued to practice the Northern Sect’s Eight Pieces of Brocade as Zhang Beixing instructed.

Afterward, under Zhang Beixing’s guidance, and after several failures, Chen Rourou finally, with great difficulty, managed to perform the Northern Sect’s Eight Pieces of Brocade. Discovering that she had actually learned the Northern Sect’s Eight Pieces of Brocade she had longed for, Chen Rourou’s feelings were very complex. She felt apprehensive, yet also ecstatic.

After a moment of excitement, Chen Rourou finally calmed down. She decided to throw caution to the wind; since things had already come to this, she’d just let them be! She then enthusiastically started practicing.

Seeing that Chen Rourou’s practice of the Eight Pieces of Brocade was starting to look decent, Zhang Beixing nodded. He walked to the side and began to cultivate the Eight Pieces of Brocade himself. A handsome man and a beautiful woman practicing martial arts together made for quite a scenic view.

After raising the Northern Sect’s Eight Pieces of Brocade to Entry Level +3, Zhang Beixing gained many insights. Now, teaching Chen Rourou sparked even more new ideas and inspiration within him. Zhang Beixing planned to integrate them and see what unique reactions might emerge.

So it went, the two practiced the Northern Sect’s Eight Pieces of Brocade in the small grove until nine o’clock in the morning, by which time all the food they had eaten earlier was digested. Zhang Beixing then stopped the movements of the Northern Sect’s Eight Pieces of Brocade, releasing the Qi cultivated within him, his body steaming with sweat.

He turned his head toward Chen Rourou and saw that she was fully absorbed in practicing the Northern Sect’s Eight Pieces of Brocade, her face showing unprecedented seriousness. Her clothes were completely soaked with sweat, clearly outlining her exquisite figure. Even though she was so tired she could barely lift her arms, she still gritted her teeth and persevered.

Seeing her striving so hard, Zhang Beixing was momentarily moved. But he soon recovered, approached Chen Rourou, patted her shoulder, slippery with sweat, and said, ”That’s enough for today. Stop training for now!”

”Why?” Chen Rourou gasped, looking at Zhang Beixing, puzzled. ”I feel like I can do a few more rounds!”

”That’s your delusion,” Zhang Beixing said expressionlessly. A few more rounds? The way you look now, you probably wouldn’t even finish this set before collapsing with your eyes rolling back.

Afterward, Zhang Beixing didn’t care what Chen Rourou thought. He unceremoniously grabbed her by the scruff of her neck and marched her off to the school cafeteria. They spent around seventy yuan on a table full of food.

「Half an hour later,」

the two walked out after finishing their meal. Zhang Beixing casually picked his teeth with a toothpick. Chen Rourou wiped her mouth with a tissue and tucked it into her pocket.

She turned to Zhang Beixing and asked, ”Uncle, are we still training today?”

”Training,” Zhang Beixing replied, flicking the toothpick aside. ”But not now. Your condition is too poor. Training further now would yield diminishing returns. Go back and rest well, adjust your state. We’ll meet in the small grove at five this afternoon.”

”Alright then, Uncle, I’ll be off!” Chen Rourou said cheerfully.

Zhang Beixing waved his hand. ”Go on.”

「After speaking, the two parted ways.」

Chen Rourou went back to class, while Zhang Beixing headed to the dormitory to pack some things. After throwing the clothes that needed washing into the washing machine, he made his way to the athletic field.

「Then he arrived at the athletic field, set up his sign, and opened his stall.」

Today, he was quite pressed for time as he had classes in the afternoon. He only had a little time in the morning for sparring practice. Every bit of money counted.

When Zhang Beixing arrived, several athletes scattered around the field, training quietly, suddenly rushed towards him like starved hounds catching the scent of meat. Without any hesitation, they dropped what they were doing and sprinted over to Zhang Beixing.

”Brother Zhang, Brother Zhang, I was the first one here! Quick, let me book two hours!”

”Seriously? Only two hours with Brother Zhang? Brother Zhang, I’m booking you for three straight hours! Come on, come at me! Thrash me like crazy! I can’t wait any longer!”

”Hubby, I want some too~~”

”Damn it, can you stop being so disgusting, you big oaf? And you, the guy before him! What the hell are you playing at, trying to one-up everyone? Three hours? With a physique like yours, you think you can last? Stop hogging the resources, alright? Brother Zhang, let me book you! I’ll take five hours!”

”Get lost! Five hours? You actually dare to say that? Are you trying to wear out our Brother Zhang? Brother Zhang, this kid is clearly just here to cause trouble. Don’t listen to him!”

”What’s that supposed to mean? Are you trying to tell my dad how to do his business? How audacious! Daddy, look at me! It’s me, Li Chang! Considering our relationship, how about you let me go first, huh?”

”Beixing, I know this might be a bit much to ask, but... could you spare an hour to train with me? I’ve hit a plateau. No matter how much I train, my stamina and endurance just aren’t improving. I was hoping you could give me some guidance...”

”...”

Surrounded in the middle, hearing the noisy chatter around him, Zhang Beixing was already unfazed by this. A day or two ago, after the athletes he had sparred with had shown significant improvement and his reputation had spread, these athletes had become like this. Every time he set up shop, he felt like he was at some kind of livestock trading market. Man, it was as chaotic as it could get.

Seeing them get even more worked up in their argument, Zhang Beixing raised his hand and pressed it downwards. Suddenly, the noisy scene fell silent. Those rowdy athletes immediately shut their mouths and looked towards Zhang Beixing.

He saw Lin Siqi hand him an energy drink. He took a sip, moistening his throat with an air of calm composure. Then he spoke, ”Due to my class schedule today, I’ll only be available for sparring for three hours.”

After that, Zhang Beixing stepped aside and said no more.

Hearing his words, the athletes first froze, then began to wail.

”Ah? Three hours, Brother Zhang, why so little!”

”Exactly! Just three hours, what can we do in that time? Even at one hour per person, that means only three people can get a sparring slot with you, and there are at least ten of us here! Brother Zhang, couldn’t you be a little more generous and add a couple more hours?”

”I agree! Three hours, a few laps around the track and the time will be up. It’s too tight!”

”Brother Zhang, let me be clear, I’m not trying to tell you how to run your business. I just think... isn’t three hours a bit too short? Could you perhaps talk to your academic advisor? If not, we can talk to them! This really isn’t enough training time! Not nearly enough!”

”Never mind all that! Three hours, is it? Fine! Brother Zhang, I’ll pay 100 yuan per hour! I’ll book all three hours!”

”What the—?! You little punk! You just have to keep one-upping everyone, don’t you? Is there no end to it? If you’re so good at ’rolling,’ why don’t you become a damn spring roll? I’ll f***ing... your mother’s***, you piece of ****!”

”...”

As one person in the crowd suddenly offered a high price, the people who had just been complaining instantly erupted. Just as they were about to start fighting, a robust and authoritative voice came from behind the group of athletes. ”What are you doing?”

They turned their heads to look. There stood a muscular, dark-skinned man wearing a Meihua brand tracksuit and a buzz cut, hands behind his back, walking towards them.

Suddenly, the athletes, who had been on the verge of fighting, instantly quieted down. One by one, they lowered their heads, their eyes wandering, not daring to look him in the eye.

Kang Gu swept his gaze over them, his expression gradually darkening. The atmosphere around them cooled as well.

「After a moment.」

Kang Gu took a deep breath and said, ”Alright, very good! So, apart from the basketball and swimming teams, everyone from the track and field department is here instead of training, is that it? And not only are you skipping training, you’re also looking to cause trouble here? What is this, a mutiny? Is your usual training load too light? Haven’t burned off all that excess energy, have you? Alright, listen up! Everyone, to the right, face! Start running! And don’t anyone dare stop until I say so! Run!”

Following his roar, the group of athletes immediately grimaced and reluctantly responded, ”Yes, sir!” Then they all turned right and began running around the field.

Seeing this, Zhang Beixing raised an eyebrow. Kang Gu’s arrival doesn’t bode well, he thought. Had I been too conspicuous lately and somehow provoked this man?

But before he could figure it out, he saw that after the group of athletes had left, Kang Gu’s previously dark and sullen face suddenly bloomed like a chrysanthemum, radiating a warm smile. He took two steps forward, extended his hand, and said to Zhang Beixing, ”Hello, young man. Allow me to introduce myself. I am Kang Gu, the chief instructor for this training camp. I’m also a professor in the Department of Physical Education at Shicheng Sports University and a former national first-class athlete. I’ve been observing you for the past couple of days and I’m very interested. Would you be free to chat?”

”Huh?” Zhang Beixing uttered, taken aback.
