Extraordinary Realm from Persuasion System

Chapter 58: Chapter 58: The Fierce Enhancement of Fist Technique Power, On the Steel Wire!

Dragging Zhang Beixing ashore was quite the effort. Looking at Zhang Beixing, who was laughing with delight, Lin Siqi couldn’t help but jab him in the kidney.

”HISS.”

”Ouch! What are you doing?”

Taking a sharp intake of breath, Zhang Beixing pushed Lin Siqi’s hand away, clutching his side as he asked.

That cheeky girl! Attacking without any sense of martial honor. Good thing my kidneys are tough.

Lin Siqi let go of him, planting her hands on her hips. ”Nothing much, just teaching you a lesson!” she said irritably. ”Honestly, once you’ve finished practicing, you should just come back. Why do you have to show off over there? Now look, your clothes are all wet again. Aren’t you afraid of catching a cold at all? Exercising every day, falling into water every day. Who trains like you do, honestly?”

Then, Lin Siqi took out a towel and handed it to him. ”Here, dry yourself quickly. You don’t want to catch a cold if a gust of wind blows by. If you get sick, I won’t be able to take care of you like I am now!”

”Well, thank you so much, Sister Qi, you’re really thoughtful.” Zhang Beixing received the towel with a cheerful grin, draped it over his head, and flashed her a hand heart.

Seeing his playful antics, Lin Siqi rolled her eyes, huffed, ”Hurry up and dry yourself,” then turned to pull the raft back.

Zhang Beixing watched her go, then stopped joking. Unfolding the towel, he began to dry himself while silently reciting in his mind:

System, open my Personal Panel!

As the thought crossed his mind, a blue panel popped up:

[Owner: Zhang Beixing]

[Condition: Severely fatigued, left forearm moderately injured, right forearm slightly injured, right thigh moderately injured...]

[Power: 79.9]

[Constitution: 79.9]

[Spirit: 105]

[Ability Points: 4.3]

[Skills: Yue Family’s Chain Punch (Entry Level) +10]

After several days of training, my Personal Panel has undergone huge changes. The most significant changes are the status bar and my Skills. Although I’ve focused on training my lower body recently, which made earning Ability Points less efficient, getting about 1.5 Ability Points per day is still no problem.

Having raised both Power and Constitution to the limit of 79.9, I learned my lesson from last time. I decided to first keep my attributes in the 70 range. During this time, I’ll practice the Yue Family’s Chain Punch more, maxing it out before attempting the physical breakthrough. Otherwise, I estimate that once my physical attributes surpass the limit, the Ability Points earned from the Yue Family’s Chain Punch will definitely decrease again. Because when my physical attributes were between 60 and 70, the Yue Family’s Chain Punch would add 0.5 points per session, but after breaking through to 70, it dropped to 0.3 points. However, I couldn’t resist spending the accumulated points, so I invested the remaining ones into the Yue Family’s Chain Punch.

By upgrading the Yue Family’s Chain Punch to ’Entry Level +10’, my mastery of this Skill has reached a new height. The punches are not only smoother but also more fierce. I’ve also developed some unique insights into each move of the Yue Family’s Chain Punch. If I were to confront Dong Shengjie and his crew again, I wouldn’t need to chain moves together; just a dozen moves would suffice to subdue them completely without any harm to myself! And if I were more ruthless, willing to trade blow for blow, it would probably take less than seven moves to have them searching the ground for their teeth! This is the power of the Yue Family’s Chain Punch at Entry Level +10—it’s rather impressive!

The only slight disappointment is that after I upgraded the Yue Family’s Chain Punch to +10, it couldn’t be improved further. No matter how many Ability Points I try to add, it remains fixed at ’+10’; the additions have no effect. I speculate that it might be related to my Constitution and Power. After all, the power a martial arts set can unleash is inseparably linked to one’s physical attributes. For instance, how could someone feeble deliver fierce punches? And how could a person with just a moderately robust body produce punches with inch-force? So, I guess I’ll have to improve all attributes to 80 before my health condition can transition from the current ’Healthy’ to ’Strong.’ Only then can I continue to add Ability Points to the Yue Family’s Chain Punch. After all, no matter how impressive the Yue Family’s Chain Punch is, without enough strength and stamina as support, it’s impossible to bring out its true effects. It’s like trying to rank up in a duo queue in a video game. No matter how rich your theory and experience, if your operational skills can’t keep up and you get killed within three seconds of going online, what’s the difference between having that knowledge and not having it?

As for that long list of negative statuses... those are the results of my training in the Yue Family’s Chain Punch. Normally, with my physical constitution, practicing the Yue Family’s Chain Punch five or six times a day is already reaching my limits; any more and I wouldn’t be able to recover. But now, to train my lower body as quickly as possible and earn that 1 Ability Point, the number of times I practice the Yue Family’s Chain Punch each day has increased. Although many times, my Yue Family’s Chain Punch is only completed halfway, or I can’t even do half before losing my balance and falling off the broken table, or being flipped into the water by the raft. However, whether I complete the sequence or not, the damage to my body from practicing the Yue Family’s Chain Punch is still there.

Although I had anticipated this day, I didn’t expect it to come so quickly. My left forearm and right thigh are already moderately injured, huh... It’s quite serious indeed!

Muttering to himself, Zhang Beixing felt he might need to take some time to recuperate. He just hadn’t decided how to go about it.

Drink medicine? Acupuncture? Or perhaps massage? Tch, this is giving me analysis paralysis. Forget it, I’ll think about it more carefully after I get back tonight! Speaking of which, with my current condition, I should be able to walk on a tightrope, right?

Zhang Beixing mumbled to himself.

Tightrope walking... it’s nothing more than making sure one can walk on the tightrope steadily and smoothly without falling off. After several days of rigorous training, I feel like I’m almost ready. Being able to walk a tightrope... shouldn’t be a problem, right? I’ll try again tomorrow. After all, my current condition is just too poor. Severely fatigued. In this state, forget Martial Arts Training on the tightrope; just standing on it would be a challenge!ŸŸŸ

Leaving the artificial lake, Zhang Beixing returned to his dormitory. He threw his wet clothes into the washing machine. Then, Zhang Beixing took a hot shower in the bathroom. After the shower, his fatigue had eased considerably.

Zhang Beixing sat in a chair and took out his phone to see if anyone wanted to have dinner together. After receiving uniform replies of ”Already eaten,” he carefully selected his options on the phone and eventually spent over $20 to order a serving of minced meat with eggplant and three bowls of rice.

The delivery arrived shortly. He quickly finished his meal, burped contentedly, then climbed into bed and fell asleep immediately.

「The next morning,」

Zhang Beixing got up and went to both the sports warehouse and the artificial lake. He practiced the Yue Family’s Chain Punch once on both the broken table and the raft to consolidate his training. Confirming that his lower body had been adequately trained, Zhang Beixing returned to the sports warehouse, grabbed seven or eight soft mats, and piled them up.

He then took out the 21.5 mm steel cable he had gotten from a construction site a while ago, stepped on the mats, and, with the help of some tools, fixed it two meters above the ground. Zhang Beixing spread the mats out on the ground below, then climbed a tree and placed one foot onto the steel cable.

The cable was thin, but not too thin – it was about as wide as two of Zhang Beixing’s fingers. Just stepping on it, Zhang Beixing felt the cable begin to shake under his foot. Fortunately, he had already gotten used to this sensation from his previous training on the raft and broken table. He adjusted his strength, angle, and bodily rhythm until his planted foot was steady. Only then did Zhang Beixing take a deep breath, carefully extend his other foot, and step onto the cable.
