Extraordinary Realm from Persuasion System

Chapter 65: Chapter 65: This is the Leakage of Internal Energy

”SSS~ Hot!”

Her fingertips brushed against Zhang Beixing’s skin, and Lin Siqi gasped.

Feeling the distinct warmth at her fingertips, Lin Siqi couldn’t help but wonder if she was touching a person or a hand warmer. Why are you so hot?

”SSS, what are you doing?”

Zhang Beixing frowned and, annoyed, swatted Lin Siqi’s ”roving hand” away.

Lin Siqi wasn’t angry. Instead, she looked at Zhang Beixing curiously and asked, ”Lao Zhang, what’s going on with you? Why is there white smoke coming off your body?”

Forgive her limited knowledge. This was the first time in her life she had ever witnessed such an unbelievable scene! Could this be what they called being ”overflowing with Qi and Blood”? This man was perhaps a bit too intense...

Hearing her comment, Zhang Beixing exhaled another turbid breath. The steamy sweat emanating from his body intensified. He felt the pressure, built up inside from adding attribute points, ease as the steamy sweat dispersed.

Zhang Beixing paused for a moment, then said, ”This is my Internal Energy leaking out, signifying that my martial arts have reached Great Accomplishment!”

Internal Energy leaking out? Great Accomplishment in martial arts?

Hearing Zhang Beixing’s explanation, Lin Siqi raised an eyebrow, her expression skeptical. This explanation... why does it sound so far-fetched? Isn’t that something you only see in movies and TV shows?

”Lao Zhang, you little rascal, don’t try to fool me. Is this for real?” Lin Siqi asked.

Instinctively, she felt something was off, but she couldn’t pinpoint what exactly was wrong.

Hearing her words, Zhang Beixing smacked his lips. ”Tsk, Sister Qi, listen to yourself. Why would I fool you for no reason? Do you think you know more about this stuff than I do?”

”Well, no, I don’t!” Lin Siqi honestly shook her head, admitting that Zhang Beixing indeed had more authority on this matter.

But just because he had the authority to speak, did that mean he was definitely right? If that were true, then why did those experts on TV claim that the average assets of people in China were 360,000? Why did she only have about 200,000? Who earned the rest of the money? With that in mind...

”I still feel like you’re fooling me. If it’s really Internal Energy leaking out, then why has your skin turned so red and hot?” Lin Siqi pressed, her expression full of doubt.

Hearing this, the corners of Zhang Beixing’s mouth twitched.

Although he had long known Lin Siqi wasn’t easy to fool, he hadn’t expected her to be *this* difficult.

Zhang Beixing knew very well that his current state was mainly due to the rapid increase in his Constitution from adding attribute points; his Internal Energy and Qi and Blood hadn’t had time to be released properly. The other reason was his deficient Qi and Blood.

The former was his biggest secret and couldn’t be spoken of. As for the latter, Zhang Beixing couldn’t reveal that either! After all, he couldn’t just say, ”It’s because I’m weak, right?”

So, after some careful consideration, Zhang Beixing declared, ”It’s because the Internal Energy leaking out is just too powerful! My skin is being stimulated by my Internal Energy, which is why it’s turned red and hot!”

”But... why are your hands trembling?”

”Because my martial arts have reached Great Accomplishment! It might look like trembling, but it’s actually a highly profound attacking technique. It focuses on delivering multiple attacks in a short period. No matter how tough the enemy, I can break their defense and win with a single strike!”

”Then... why has your face gone pale?”

”Because my Internal Energy is cleansing me, removing impurities, bringing about a complete renewal!”

”...”

Lin Siqi’s mouth twitched uncontrollably.

Good grief, she just wanted to figure out what was going on. Why was he so stubborn? With a mouth like his, she was afraid that if he were sent to the crematorium, even after his whole body was burned to ash, his mouth would still be there, babbling, ”I’m fine.” Even in death, his mouth would keep talking, its legacy passed down for three generations, huh!

”You’re really something else!” Lin Siqi rolled her eyes dismissively. Then, looking at Zhang Beixing, she suggested, ”I’m getting a bit hungry. Want to go to the cafeteria and eat?”

”Okay!” Zhang Beixing agreed without hesitation.

He then dragged his constantly aching body alongside Lin Siqi towards the Shi University cafeteria.

He had recklessly added ten attribute points (five to each). This not only prevented his Qi and Blood from keeping up with his enhanced Constitution, leading to deficiency and weakness, but even the food he had eaten that morning was completely digested.

If he didn’t replenish his nutrients now, Zhang Beixing didn’t even dare to imagine what those desperately hungry cells would consume next.

Although research shows that cells won’t directly digest *that* stuff, the thought of those ravenous cells extracting water from there...

「A moment later, in the cafeteria.」

Between starving until he looked emaciated and filling his stomach, Zhang Beixing ultimately chose the latter.

It was also fortunate that today was Saturday, a holiday. With no classes, everyone was nestled in their dormitories, sleeping soundly. Otherwise, if they had seen Zhang Beixing snorting and munching his way through an entire day’s worth of food for one person, their jaws would have dropped, and they’d wonder if a famine had struck.

”BURP—”

Leaning back in his chair, Zhang Beixing let out a long, satisfied belch, feeling the hunger and pain inside him dissipate. He understood that his body had now adapted to the sudden addition of ten attribute points.

So, he opened his Personal Panel.

He found that in his status bar, the [Continuous Qi and Blood Deficiency] status had changed to [Qi and Blood Deficiency].

Also, the previous statuses of [Moderate Injury to the Left Forearm] and [Moderate Injury to the Right Thigh] had, after his body was enhanced, changed to [Minor Injuries].

Zhang Beixing wasn’t surprised by this. He had known for a while that adding attribute points could, to some extent, alleviate negative physical conditions. Otherwise, with his previous monstrous amount of exercise, even with daily improvements, he would have trained himself into rhabdomyolysis long ago!

”Fullness leads to deficiency. Extremity leads to decline. I still shouldn’t continuously add attribute points.”

”If I add attribute points beyond what my body can handle, it results in situations like today.”

”It’s also lucky that I usually focus on nutritional food therapy and came to eat in time. Otherwise, my two titanium alloy kidneys would have probably been squeezed into raisins.”

Previously, when adding attribute points, he had always done so incrementally, by 0.1 or a few tenths at a time. This had led Zhang Beixing to wonder why his appetite had become so large. However, his thoughts on the matter had been rather superficial. He had merely assumed it was because he had grown stronger and therefore needed more nutrition.

Now it seems that was only one factor. More importantly, it was because after adding attribute points, his body had to adapt and change, which resulted in an increased appetite.

Zhang Beixing thought about it carefully. He realized that, basically, he ate the most right after exercising and adding attribute points.

”It seems the System had already given me hints, but I just hadn’t noticed them, which led to today’s incident.”

”Ah, well, what’s done is done. There’s no use dwelling on it. I’ll take it as a lesson for my carelessness. I can’t add attribute points like this anymore. Even if I want to improve, I need to do it bit by bit, slowly!”

”Next, I should edit and release the video ’Iron-Wire Martial Arts Training, Moving Like a Dragon.’ Let’s see if I can get some useful advice again...”
