Chapter 69: Chapter 69: Video Approved, What is Zhang Beixing’s True Strength?

The man in sunglasses was completely oblivious to Ma Feitian’s inner thoughts.

He was just annoyed that Ma Feitian was ignoring him and was about to say something when, at that very moment, a large hand silently landed on his shoulder.

Zhang Beixing’s voice came ominously from behind him, ”Let’s put aside whether you’re acting or not for a moment. Buddy, shouldn’t we settle the score between us?”

Hearing this, the man in sunglasses froze completely. He struggled to turn his head, only to see Zhang Beixing looking at him with a sinister smile. Instantly, his hair stood on end.

The man in sunglasses frantically struggled, trying to break free from Zhang Beixing’s merciless iron grip. However, despite his struggles, Zhang Beixing’s hand seemed welded to the man, unmoving no matter what he did.

Dealing with Ma Feitian might be difficult, but handling a brat like you is a piece of cake.

Seeing this, the man in sunglasses shivered. He recalled the recording he’d seen during his investigation, showing Zhang Beixing taking action against Dong Shengjie and his four companions. The corner of his mouth twitched. He looked at Zhang Beixing and stammered, ”Uh, buddy, no, Brother Bei! I was wrong. I was just kidding with you earlier, do you believe me?”

”Believe you? Why wouldn’t I? Then how about I play a little joke on you too, huh?” Zhang Beixing’s smile widened.

Feeling the large hand on his shoulder tighten, the man in sunglasses was filled with regret. He stuttered, ”Don’t, please don’t, Brother Bei! I truly know I was wrong. Give me a chance! I didn’t mean any harm, I... Oh, right! Lin Siqi, I’m Lin Pengfei! I’m your younger brother! Help me!”

At these words, Lin Siqi, who was hiding nearby, was stunned. She looked at Lin Pengfei with a peculiar expression. ”Younger brother? Since when do I have a younger brother? I’m an only child, okay? You dummy, if you’re going to spin a yarn, at least make it a good one.”

”No! You do! You definitely do!” Hearing Lin Siqi’s denial, Lin Pengfei glanced at the predatory Zhang Beixing beside him. His heart leaped in fear, and he quickly said, ”Remember your father whom you’ve never met? Lin Gang! He’s my father too! He’s tall, his ancestral home is Shishi, and he has a black mole on his buttock!”

”Lin Siqi, Sister Lin! I’m your paternal half-brother whom you’ve never met!”

As he shouted this, Zhang Beixing, standing beside him, looked surprised and thoughtful.

Lin Siqi was stunned at first, then her face darkened. ”I don’t know what you’re talking about. My dad isn’t Lin Gang, and his ancestral home isn’t Shishi. Stop spouting nonsense here! Besides, if you were my younger brother, why would you have people come to school to block me? You must be lying!” With that, Lin Siqi turned her head away and refused to look at him anymore.

Seeing her reaction, Lin Pengfei was dumbfounded. ”No, Sister, I didn’t! I can explain the blocking incident, I...”

”You what? Little bro, didn’t you hear Sister Qi say she doesn’t have a younger brother? Still spouting nonsense here? By the way, have you eaten today?” Gripping Lin Pengfei’s shoulder, Zhang Beixing spun him around with a smile, making him face him.

Looking at that smiling face, Lin Pengfei gulped and said honestly, ”N-no. What is it, Big Bro?”

”Nothing much. Just thinking, if you haven’t eaten, then you can eat my fist!” Saying that, Zhang Beixing swung his fist. WHAM! Lin Pengfei saw stars.

Then, Zhang Beixing dragged Lin Pengfei to the side, beating him while cursing:

”That’ll teach you to act tough! That’ll teach you to block people!”

”That’ll teach you to hire people to start fights! Damn it, why don’t you just try to fly to the heavens?”

”So what if your dad is Lin Gang? Even if your dad was Li Gang or Wang Gang, I’d still beat you today, no question!”

”Look at your pathetic self, acting all roguish and carefree, looking like you’re courting cancer, and still trying to be cool here! If I were you, I’d have gone to the hospital for a check-up long ago!”

”Does it hurt? Good, it’s supposed to hurt! I barely even hit that spot, and you’re already screaming in pain. If you don’t get cancer, who will?”

After the brutal beating, Zhang Beixing let out a long breath, feeling refreshed and invigorated. In contrast, Lin Pengfei lay on the ground, his eyes vacant, looking completely wrecked.

Seeing him like this, Lin Siqi frowned and couldn’t help but ask, ”Lao Zhang, don’t you think... you were a bit too harsh?”

”Bah, he just looks roughed up now. If you take him to the hospital for a check-up, at most they’ll find minor injuries. Besides, I was hitting him for his own good; I was saving him. Don’t worry.” Zhang Beixing waved his hand, indicating that everything was under control.

”Zhang Beixing!” Just then, a loud shout attracted Zhang Beixing’s attention. He quickly looked toward Liu Yi.

”What is it, Teacher Liu?”

The fight on Liu Yi’s side was also nearing its end. After landing a punch that sent Ma Feitian staggering back several steps, Liu Yi retreated two steps. Tiger Leopard Thunder Sound faintly rumbled from within his body. He adjusted his breathing, then looked at Zhang Beixing and said, ”Kid, watch carefully and learn well. This move, ’Yue Shatters the Armies,’ is the final technique of the modern Yue Family Connected Fist. It’s not in the fist manuals, and even General Yue of ancient times didn’t know it. Now, I will only demonstrate it for you once!”

With that, Liu Yi’s stance changed. He adopted a posture Zhang Beixing had never seen in the Yue Family Connected Fist, then his feet flashed, and he shot toward Ma Feitian.

Seeing this, Ma Feitian also hurriedly counterattacked.

But...

Block, seize, control!

Liu Yi raised his hand, blocking Ma Feitian’s punch. Then, with a reverse grab, he seized Ma Feitian firmly, immobilizing him. Simultaneously, he stepped forward and viciously tripped Ma Feitian.

THUD! Ma Feitian lost his balance and instantly crashed to the ground.

Liu Yi pressed his advantage, following up. His hand formed an eagle’s claw, aiming straight for Ma Feitian’s eyes.

Realizing Liu Yi’s intent, Ma Feitian was scared out of his wits and hurriedly raised his hands to block. However, this move was merely a feint. Liu Yi’s hand technique changed, and he once again seized Ma Feitian’s hands. He yanked Ma Feitian forcefully towards him while simultaneously bending his knee, preparing to drive it straight into Ma Feitian’s face!

Yue Shatters the Armies—every move lethal!

”I surrender! I admit defeat!” This move was unavoidable. Ma Feitian, without hesitation, pulled a white cloth he had prepared in advance from his pocket, just in case, and shouted.

Hearing his words, Liu Yi finally retracted his knee and released his hands.

THUD— With a dull sound, Ma Feitian collapsed to the ground, drenched in cold sweat and panting heavily.

He looked at Liu Yi, only to find the man patting the dust off his clothes, having reverted to his usual good-natured appearance.

A flicker of fear crossed Ma Feitian’s eyes. He cursed inwardly, Holy hell, how can these guys have such a master backing them up in a simple fight? Even though he had retired due to injury, had serious underlying health problems, and his strength was long past its peak, he shouldn’t have been beaten so badly!

Clearly, this middle-aged fat man was no simple character! That little bastard Lin Pengfei really picked a fight without checking the other party’s background!

After dealing with Ma Feitian, Liu Yi walked over to Zhang Beixing. He glanced at Lin Pengfei, who was lying on the ground groaning incessantly, and asked, ”Is this the one who had ruffians enter the school to abduct Lin Siqi?”

Zhang Beixing was still somewhat dazed, his mind replaying Teacher Liu’s final move, which filled him with awe.

So damn cool! If I could train that move to the Transcendent level, wouldn’t it be even more damn cool?

”Hey, kid, I’m asking you a question.”

Hearing Teacher Liu’s call, Zhang Beixing finally snapped back to reality and nodded. ”Yes, that’s him!”

Liu Yi nodded, understanding. He was just about to say something when—

DING DONG DING DONG— A frequent series of notification tones came from his trouser pocket. Zhang Beixing’s phone was acting up again.

Hearing this, Liu Yi’s eyebrows twitched. ”What’s happening?” he asked.

Zhang Beixing pulled out his phone and saw that the video he had posted yesterday had finally passed review! The notification sounds were the official alerts. He then said, ”It’s nothing. I just recorded a Martial Arts Training video yesterday and posted it on Douyin. It just got approved not long ago, and people are liking my video, so my phone’s chiming.”

A Martial Arts Training video, posted online? With just his meager skills? He’s only been training for a few days and already dares to post it online; isn’t he afraid of being ridiculed? Liu Yi looked at Zhang Beixing skeptically. He thought the kid was a bit too overconfident, and perhaps a little humbling would be good. Take today, for instance. If I hadn’t arrived in time, wouldn’t this kid have been thrashed? In Teacher Liu’s superficial understanding, Zhang Beixing had only been training in martial arts for less than a month. How much could his strength have improved? At most, he had just managed to learn the Yue Family Connected Fist. Was his stance stable? Were his punches sharp? Had he grasped the core techniques? Could he control his breath freely? Therefore, beating a few ordinary thugs was his limit. How could he be so ostentatious right after starting to learn? It’s easy to become arrogant and invite trouble!

But considering Zhang Beixing was, after all, someone he had guided, Liu Yi pondered for a moment and decided against voicing these thoughts. Instead, he took out his phone and said, ”What’s your Douyin ID? I’ll go take a look and check on your training results from this period, see what your current skill level is.”

”Ah, this...” Zhang Beixing, still unaware of his own strength, was keen for Teacher Liu to help assess his current level. But then he remembered a problem and instantly clammed up.

Just as he was racking his brains, trying to figure out how he could tactfully reveal his ID, ’Shishi Quality Single Male/185/18’...

WEE-WOO WEE-WOO— The wail of sirens approached from the distance; the police Lin Siqi had called earlier had finally arrived.

Hearing this, both Zhang Beixing and Liu Yi were startled. They turned to look and saw that a crowd of onlookers had already gathered behind them! Some were taking photos, others were recording videos.

Seeing this, Zhang Beixing felt a bit resigned. He then walked to the side with practiced ease, squatted down, and put his hands over his head.

Seeing Liu Yi and Lin Siqi standing there blankly, unmoving, he thought to himself: Amateurs.

He then went over and, hand over hand, instructed them on how to squat and cover their heads, demonstrating the standard posture.

Lin Siqi learned obediently, a bewildered look on her face. When Zhang Beixing turned to instruct Liu Yi, he saw that Teacher Liu had already squatted down, nimbly untied his own shoelaces, and expertly wrapped them around his hands, resembling handcuffs.

Holy crap, so professional?

Amidst Zhang Beixing’s dumbfounded gaze, the ’WEE-WOO WEE-WOO’ sound grew closer, and the police officers arrived at the crime scene.
