168: Chapter 168 Breaking Through the Limits of Enhancement[ First time achieving +10 Enhancement in the otherworld! ]

[ Condition for changing to the hidden class ’Enhancement Master’ met — ’Successfully complete +10 Enhancement while in a classless state’. ]

[ Do you want to change to the class ’Enhancement Master’? ]

From the start of the enhancement process until now, 2 days and 3 hours had passed. Fu Hao had not closed his eyes, swinging the enhancement hammer like a machine, and finally managed to create a +10 sword.

”Accept class change.”

[ Successfully changed to the hidden class ’Enhancement Master’. ]

After changing to the Enhancement Master class, the skills Fu Hao previously possessed reappeared in his skill bar. However, because he had not undergone the second class change, some skills (such as Soul Enhancement) were not unlocked, and the skills acquired upon changing classes also maintained their original effects from before the second class change.

But this was enough.

The Enhancement Master skill that Fu Hao needed to prioritize using in the Inner World was ”Skill Enhancement” — a skill he had hardly used properly in The Original World.

Because ”skills” used as enhancement materials could not be farmed at will like items, even though he had obtained this powerful skill, it could only remain idle.

After the second class change, although he could use Fates Luck to enhance Legendary-grade skills or the unknown-grade skills of the Enhancement Master class, it took up to 10 weeks to enhance them to +10, so Fu Hao never dared to use Absolute Luck to enhance skills.

”The problem with Skill Enhancement is that the material is a ’skill’, so why not just change the enhancement material?”

Among the newly discovered hidden items from the hidden item collection event, the ”Consumption Conversion” skill, which he personally considered to be in the top five, became the key. This skill could freely convert the consumption type of a specified skill and could only be obtained by someone who achieved a specific first-time achievement.

And the player who obtained this skill in The Original World, apart from it being unique to them, completely felt it was trash — after all, even they themselves were confused about how it got selected for the collection event.

They were not lacking in any attributes or currency to begin with, and even if they encountered a skill that required special currency, after trying to convert it using vitality or magic power, the consumption value was so high that even a level 500 couldn’t handle it, and they had to give up in despair. The cost of converting types was that the efficiency was ridiculously low.

But Fu Hao didn’t care about efficiency at all — he already had an endless, mountain-high pile of currency.

Even if he bought cash items like drinking water, the remaining crystals shown in the cash shop were only slightly less than before; it was simply inexhaustible. For Fu Hao, who possessed infinite cash, the ”Consumption Conversion” skill was a perfect match.

”It’s a pity it’s a one-time skill.”

For him, the only drawback of this skill was the number of uses — limited to 1 time. Fortunately, it would show the estimated consumption value before use, so it wouldn’t be a waste of a use, but combined with the ridiculously low efficiency, it was no wonder the original owner treated it as trash.

”But having it is better than not having it.”

Fu Hao was not the type of person to ”complain about the good fortune at hand just because they hadn’t encountered greater good fortune”. If the number of uses were infinite, even if it were just 2 times, he could use cash to enhance all Summoned Beasts to +10, and wouldn’t need to farm the World Tree to create a Golden Dragon army.

But since Summon Enhancement had the World Tree Fruit as an alternative, he didn’t feel too regretful.

If there was any regret, it should be Yongyuan who felt it. At this moment, she was probably still picking up various long-distance movement hidden items, rushing towards the Elf Kingdom, and one could imagine how impatient she was.

”As for hidden items, it’s always right to get them in hand first.”

”Consumption Conversion” was considered the easiest type of hidden item to obtain among the Inner World hidden items he planned to collect. In terms of ”acquisition efficiency” alone, even if it was a one-time item, it was ridiculously high.

The achievement for obtaining this hidden item was very simple, but the unlock time was 2 months after the otherworld opened, which was quite late. The achievement requirement was ”Attempt to use a unusable skill 100 consecutive times” — it was said that a player misread the skill consumption description, doggedly stuck to a skill they couldn’t use, and upon trying for the 100th time, accidentally unlocked ”Consumption Conversion”.

Although this was a hidden item dug out by absurd obsession, it really helped Fu Hao — allowing him to use Skill Enhancement to his heart’s content.

After Fu Hao finished the 2-day enhancement live stream, he immediately started collecting this hidden item.

...

If Fu Hao still retained his original cheat attributes, he might have had to rack his brains to maintain the state of insufficient consumption, but now, except for vitality and magic power, all his attributes were initialized, so he could start collecting directly without any preparation.

The skill he used this time was ”Small Trap Setting” — this was one of the hidden item skills he collected whenever he had free time in The Original World, characterized by being effective against all types of enemies, but it would permanently consume 10 points of strength attribute. He had never used this skill properly, and didn’t expect it to come in handy in another way now.

”As expected, it’s best to get hidden items in hand first.”

Fu Hao recalled the time he hoarded a bunch of miscellaneous hidden items, which later came in handy when using Margo’s Protection skill, and secretly rejoiced that he hadn’t done these ”seemingly useless” things in vain.

About 2 minutes after starting to use ”Small Trap Setting” — compared to the 2 days it took to get the hidden class ”Enhancement Master”, this time was ridiculously short — Fu Hao obtained the new hidden item.

[ First time achieving the ”Attempt to use a unusable skill 100 consecutive times” achievement. ]

[ Obtained ”Consumption Conversion” skill. ]

Type: Active Grade: Unknown Usable times: 1 time * Converts the consumption type of the specified skill to any attribute or currency. * The consumption value after conversion will be readjusted according to the value of that currency.

Fu Hao was in a rush, so he used the skill immediately after obtaining it.

[ ”Skill Enhancement” has been selected as the target skill for ”Consumption Conversion”. ]

[ Which currency will the consumption of this skill be converted to? ]

His answer was already determined: ”Crystals.”

He had originally thought that if it couldn’t be converted into crystals, he would convert it into gold — although it was troublesome to convert a large amount of crystals into gold in the Inner World, there was no other way. Fortunately, he didn’t need to go through this trouble.

[ Will you convert the consumption of ”Skill Enhancement” to ”Crystals”? The values after conversion are as follows: ] [ Normal grade skill — 5 Crystals ] [ Rare grade skill — 5,000 Crystals ] [ Hero grade skill — 500,000 Crystals ] [ Legendary grade skill — 5 billion Crystals ] [ Mythical grade skill — 5 trillion Crystals ] [ Transcendent grade skill — 5,000 trillion Crystals ] [ Creation grade skill — 500 quadrillion Crystals ] [ Unknown grade skill — 500 quadrillion Crystals ] [ * The above is the consumption for +1 enhancement; starting from +2, each consumption is 2 times the previous level. ]

”What the...”

Seeing these absurd units, Fu Hao couldn’t help but rub his eyes, but no matter how many times he rubbed them, the numbers in the prompt box didn’t change.

”What a trash skill...”

He previously felt that ”efficiency didn’t matter”, but now he only felt embarrassed.

Enhancing a Normal grade skill to +10 only cost a little over 5,000 crystals; not to mention him, even ordinary players could handle it.

But the problem was with Creation grade and Unknown grade skills — level 1 alone required 500 quadrillion crystals, and enhancing to +10 required over 500 sextillion crystals, which even Fu Hao couldn’t handle.

He had intended to rely on unlimited use of Skill Enhancement to first max out his Creation grade skills and the Enhancement Master class’s Unknown grade skills to +10, but now his plan had instantly turned into a bubble.

”...N-no, it’s fine. Isn’t there still the second class change?”

After the second class change, the effects of existing skills would also change. Although he didn’t know how the Skill Enhancement modified by Consumption Conversion would change, at least there was still some anticipation.

And even if Creation grade and Unknown grade skills couldn’t be enhanced, the value of Skill Enhancement hadn’t completely disappeared — other grade skills could still be enhanced infinitely.

After calming down for a while, Fu Hao re-examined the information of another unused skill of the Enhancement Master class — ”Enhancement Limit Break”.

Type: Passive Grade: Unknown * When equipment, accessories, Summoned Beasts, and skills are all enhanced to the current limit, the maximum enhancement level increases by 1. * Current maximum enhancement level: 10 * Categories that have reached the maximum enhancement level: equipment, accessories, Summoned Beasts.

”Can I finally reach level 11?”

Although it was a pity that he couldn’t enhance Creation grade and Unknown grade skills, even if he only enhanced Normal grade skills, it was of great significance — as long as he enhanced skills to +10, he could unlock ”Enhancement Limit Break” and open the door to level 11.

”If Little Gold is enhanced to level 11, will it evolve again?”

Fu Hao had long thrown the monsters threatening the human world to the back of his mind, his head full of thoughts about how strong the level 11 Little Gold and artifacts would be, and he fell into his own world.
