Unlimited Top-ups, the Most Lavish Pay-to-win Live Streams Ever

164: Chapter 164 Who are the seven who saved the world?Returning to the eve of the otherworld server launch and monopolizing hidden items on a whim—it is no exaggeration to say this stroke of luck was more dramatic than winning the lottery jackpot. After all, this was equivalent to obtaining the right to ”openly cheat” in the most top-tier game of the current era (or even in history).

”...Should I sell one of the spots?”

As someone living in a capitalist society, Fu Hao wavered for a moment in the face of such a huge sum of money. This opportunity had come legitimately, and how he handled the entry tickets was his freedom. But he quickly shook his head to dispel the temptation—

He had already earned enough money, and it was still coming in steadily. But if otherworld were destroyed, what would be the point of hoarding a pile of hidden items in the back world? He would be lucky if he wasn’t chased by buyers demanding refunds. What he needed to ponder now was how to increase his strength even further.

”First of all, game intuition is paramount.”

Before finding a way to subjugate the monsters, the players who could enter the back world were the last line of defense for the human world.

Therefore, it was necessary to select players who could efficiently obtain hidden items and had top-tier gaming skills—even if hidden items were everywhere, how much one could get in a limited time depended entirely on individual talent.

Some hidden items could be obtained by anyone who knew the strategy, but more items required reaction speed and physical abilities, commonly known as ’brain speed’ (cognitive ability), to be acquired. Moreover, these difficult-to-get items often had stronger effects.

Therefore, the players who could go to the back world needed to have game intuition that ranked at least in the top 5%.

Of course, more important than game intuition was ”game time,” but this point hardly needed to be considered—even people who weren’t usually addicted to games would definitely instantly become ”gaming zombies” once they arrived in a world filled with hidden items.

Fu Hao didn’t even need to wave the banner of saving humanity; they would naturally try their best to collect hidden items. He himself had already stockpiled a bunch of energy bars and functional drinks, preparing to replicate his state at the server launch: compressing sleep and devoting all his time to the game.

Checking the records from the server launch, he had played an average of 20 hours a day at that time, which was already close to the human limit. This time he wanted to challenge 21 hours—after all, at the launch, he just thought it was fun, but now there was an added sense of mission, so maybe he could really do it.

He believed that no matter who was chosen to go, they would invest themselves with the mentality of ”grinding until death.”

”Secondly, it has to be someone I know.”

More important than game intuition was ”trust.” The primary purpose of going to the back world was to find hidden items that could subjugate monsters, even if they only had a one-time effect; such items had to be prioritized.

But if one only chose people based on game intuition, there was no guarantee that someone wouldn’t just focus on grabbing powerful items and ignore the matter of the monsters. Therefore, it was necessary to choose people Fu Hao could trust.

”Counting myself, Chaos, and Guild Master Jari, that’s already three. Should the remaining four all be guild members?”

In terms of ”trust,” the people Fu Hao trusted most were the members of the Wind Guild.

After his rebirth, he was busy with live streaming and became a celebrity, so it was hard to make new friends; although he knew other players now, they could never compare to the old members of the Wind Guild who he had spent over two years with—to put it exaggeratedly, his feelings for the old guild members were deeper than for his best friends from his three years of high school.

Of course, he wasn’t forcing himself to give all six spots to the guild for the sake of human justice.

In the Wind Guild, including Chaos and the Guild Master, many people had game intuition comparable to top-tier players, only they hadn’t rushed the rankings because they ”prioritized guild activities”; the Wind Guild hadn’t grown to the scale of the Five Great Guilds, not because they lacked the strength, but because of their positioning as a ”laid-back group of friends” and ”focusing on leisure.”

”I should listen to others’ opinions.”

This matter concerned the survival of humanity, and even whether otherworld could continue to operate, so he shouldn’t make decisions alone. Fu Hao asked Chaos to arrange a meeting with the Guild Master, preparing to discuss it.

”Being able to go to the ’back world’ must mean you can become super strong, right?”

After hearing Fu Hao’s explanation, Wind Guild Guild Master Jari looked incredulous. Letting players create a new world was already absurd enough, but for this world to actually be the ”otherworld at server launch” was simply outrageous.

Guild Master Jari although focused on guild operations and hadn’t touched hidden items for a long time, he also knew how precious an opportunity to pick up hidden items at will was.

”But why give us such a precious opportunity? Chaos is one thing, but with only six spots, why...” Guild Master Jari asked the obvious question.

The Wind Guild had at most provided Fu Hao with the Mimic dungeon, so this return was too exaggerated, and even giving the whole guild noble titles before was already over the top.

Fu Hao glanced at Chaos, who nodded in response—it was time to come clean.

”Guild Master Jari, it’s me, can’t you recognize me?”

”What?” Fu Hao suddenly got chummy, and Guild Master Jari was stunned. Watching his reaction, Chaos burst out laughing.

”It’s me, Qin Zhe! Forgot?”

”...Qin Zhe?”

”The time when you were crying and begging me, it feels like it was just yesterday...”

Guild Master Jari suddenly interrupted him and charged over with his sword drawn: ”You dog—!”

Although PK wouldn’t cause damage, Fu Hao dodged as if he were about to be killed—there was genuine anger in Guild Master Jari’s attack.

”Would it kill you to let me hit you once?” Guild Master Jari stopped, panting in anger after slashing for a long time without landing a hit. Fu Hao was currently wearing a ”Newbie +10 Full Set,” and even with his level reset, his speed was not something Guild Master Jari could catch up to.

”With that murderous look of yours, if I didn’t dodge, I would really die.”

”So what? What exactly is going on? Explain everything! Chaos, you too, how dare you keep this from me?” Guild Master Jari finally realized he had been deceived and instantly flared up.

It took Fu Hao and Chaos an hour to calm him down, and they could finally talk about the real business.

”If it were anyone else, that would be fine, but since it’s you, that’s another matter. But I oppose giving all six spots to the guild. If we can’t beat the monsters, the Arnos Continent will still be doomed. We must take the strongest people.”

Guild Master Jari’s words were a bit ”cruel” to the guild members, equivalent to pushing away an opportunity for a life turnaround (a gaming turnaround), but he saw it very clearly: if otherworld was gone, hidden items would have no meaning.

”I know that too... But apart from you all, I don’t trust anyone else.”

”Who says there’s no one else? Leonhardt. And that Fu Haos Eternal Fan. Oh right, Rachel, who was on your stream last time, is also good.”

Guild Master Jari mentioned ”Leonhardt” casually, and Fu Hao’s heart skipped a beat.

He admitted that Leonhardt was indeed trustworthy—even if he didn’t trust him, the entire player base did.

But he hesitated: if he let Leonhardt, who had already obtained a pile of hidden items, go to the back world to sweep for more, he would probably really become a wall that he could never surpass.

But since Guild Master Jari had brought it up, it seemed like he couldn’t avoid this.
