Bright sun city...

Bloody rose guild..

Guildmaster’s office....

Raven sat in her chair, neck deep into her paperwork as usual.

”Ughh, these documents are going to be the death of me..” she groaned..

”Hehehe... the fearless bloody rose herself being defeated by paperwork..” a cheeky laugh sounded from the com beside her..

”Ugh..Clarissa, don’t make me pass this terror to you..” she threatened..

”Forget I said anything rave...”

”Humph...”

”Pft..hahahaha” they laughed, the sound like the tinkling of bells...

As raven prepared to dive back into her work, she froze..

Roooooooaaarrrrrrrrr!!!!!

A terrifying roar reached her...

”Impossible!!” Her head snapped to the side violently, causing an audible Woosh from the force..

”This aura...” her expression turned grim..

Even from this far away, she could feel it..

”Draconicmight??” Confusion colored her face..

”That direction... that’s where the storm wyvern should be located. Did the creature evolve?” Her face was grim..

”Rave... did you feel that?” Clarissa’s grim voice came through the intercom..

”I did..”

”But that shouldn’t be possible.. not in a backwater place like this..” Clarissa’s voice was no less as confused and grim..

”It seems the Wyvern had some fortunate encounter.. it evolved.” Came Raven’s reply..

”So what’re you going to do.. are you going to..” she didn’t finish her sentence, but raven caught onto her meaning..

”Me? I’m not going to do anything.. let these people who don’t understand the immensity of the real world deal with it” she sneered, preparing to return to her work when she suddenly froze, her face paling instantly...

”Cla..Clarissa.. where’s Dante..” her voice came out shaky..

A dreadful feeling crawling up her heart..

”Hmmm... he registered for another D-rank dungeon according to our data base” came Clarissa’s reply after a short pause..

”Which...which one” Raven asked, trying to calm her panic..

”Minotaur Canyon”

That was all she needed to hear, with a sudden movement she made her way towards the named dungeon...

Within an expansive hall, a long mahogany table sat right in the middle.

An array of sumptuous dishes spread on it, maids standing by in disciplined order as they attended to the two men currently having breakfast..

At the seat opposite the head of the table, a young man sat, his golden blond hair catching the light in shimmering waves, the crisp shirt he wore giving him a regal look despite its simplicity, his piercing gold eyes shone with arrogance, pride and authority..

Micheal Solaris...

Opposite him, at the head of the table, sat a man with matching looks, only more mature...

His golden blond beard trimmed neatly, the gold tuxedo covering his broad frame giving him an indomitable presence..

He sat there, doing nothing but eating, yet the way his aura filled the entire room made it clear that this was no regular man..

Carrion Solaris..

Micheal’s father and the bright sun city’s lord..

He was a SSS-rank powerhouse himself...

”So, how confident are you about getting into Aeternum” the man, carrion addressed his son..

”The preliminaries shouldn’t be of any issue, the real problem lies with the true exams, when those monsters will finally show themselves..” Micheal’s tone was serious, a hint of dread creeping in at the mention of those ”monsters”..

”Hmm.. I understand. But you must do all you can to get in, we cannot fail to get in the good graces of the main family..” carrion said.

”Is that why we’re putting up with that bitch’s attitude...” he ground his teeth in fury. Blood boiling whenever he recalled that incident..

”Hmmm.. not minding her own background, you know exactly what’s happening and why we can only relent.” Carrion said with a helpless expression..

Before Micheal could respond..

Roooooooarrrrrrrrr!!!!!!!!

A horrifying roar swept through the entire city..

”What!!!” Carrion stood up sharply, shock coloring his paling face..

”This aura... that’s impossible!!”

”Fa..Father...” Micheal spoke up, voice feeble..

Carrion looked at his son, only to find him sprawled on the floor choking for breath..

His aura spread out, covering his son...

”No mistaking it, that’s definitely dragon might, but how?” He’s expression was terribly grim..

’If one of those things is found here, doesn’t that mean ”they” might come here..” at the thought his face paled further...

”Come, we’re moving out..”. He said, lifting Micheal with his aura, as they took off towards the direction the roar had come from...

They weren’t the only ones to react, every power house within bright sun city felt that dreadful aura and knew what it meant.

And so, the skies of the city lit up as people made their way towards the source..

Meanwhile...

Raven had finally arrived at the D-rank dungeon, Minotaur Canyon..

”We greet the...”

”Tell me, did this young man enter this dungeon?” She didn’t bother with their greeting, shoving a picture of Dante in their faces and asking her questions..

”Well... he did come here to register, but after going in, he came back out”. One of the guards responded..

Raven’s face paled...

”Where... where did he go..” she didn’t get a reply...

BOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!!!!

A horrifying aura swept through the city once more, carrying with it the very fury of the skies themselves as dark thunder clouds churned and gathered above the city, blotting out the sun...

Raven could feel the dragon’s aura spiking, but more than that, she felt..

”DANTE!!!!!!!!”

She’d felt his aura, weak but there...

She immediately vanished from her spot, space folding in on itself as she disappeared...

********

She appeared miles out of the city, right before where should have been a mountain range, with Thunder peak’s majestic form towering over everything..

But what she met instead was devastation..

The entire land for miles on end looked like it had been flipped upside down by the hands of a furious god..

The stale air tasted of ash and electricity..

The harsh winds threatened to tear to shreds anything C-rank and below..

The pelting of the rain feeling like the battering of a ten ton ram on the body.

And right in the middle of this devastating scene...

Dante stood trapped, the dragon’s breath threatening to unmake him..

”DANTE!!!!” She screamed, about to move when, everything paused...

She felt it immediately..

”This...impossible”.. she’d felt the snatching of something important..

”How..?” Her eyes widened...

The world shifted as Dante’s form exploded into the storm itself..

His eye’s lighting up like the very eye of the storm itself, the battlefield shifting..

She watched, transfixed as Dante tore through the creature’s hold, unleashing the forces of nature as if merely an extension of him...

She watched as he willed forth a blade of purely condensed storm authorities, going on to tear apart the unyielding creature..

She watched as the creature prepared for its finally clash, only for Dante to whisper..

”STORM’S ECHO”...

At that moment, her eyes widened as she seemed to have seen the silhouette of a man behind Dante..

His golden blond hair waving in the storm, his expression proud, unyielding.

His gaze arrogant as it stared at the creature as if unworthy of its existence..

”Regulus...” tears welled up in her eyes as she recognized the figure..

”Big..Big brother..” her tears fell silently as she covered her mouth..

It was at that moment when Dante’s move finally struck, taking the life of the creature..

She watched as the creature’s eyes drained slowly of all life, yet its gaze only held acknowledgment for having been felled at the hands of a worthy opponent..

Her gaze snapped back toward Dante as she saw him falling from the sky..

She recovered instantly..

”DANTEE!!!” She caught him swiftly..

Her expression conflicted and complicated as she whispered softly, looking at him with pure love..

”It seems no matter how one tries... they can never truly escape who they are..sigh...”

She looked up as multiple powerful auras drew nearer, her expression turning cold instantly..

”Let’s deal with the pests first..”
