Chaos Devourer System: My Classless Ascension

Chapter 7: Chapter 6:Melissa(1)

What was a 15 minute drive to the institute, ended up becoming an hour walk back home..

Now standing before my door, feeling the cool evening air on my face, the sounds of laughter and playing all around, I couldn’t help but feel myself relax a little..

The raw concern and care I felt from my Aunt V made my chest flutter whenever I recall her reactions over the phone, at least that’s something out of the way,

Sigh~~

Shaking my head, I reached for the doorknob, twisted it open, expecting to be greeted by the silence of my apartment, but instead,

”SURPRISE!!!!!

” HAPPY BIRTHDAY DANTE!!!!

Was what I got instead...

”Wha... what’s going on?” I was staggered. How? What? Why?...

I was at a loss for words, who?..

Before the thought could even form, I saw her..

Crimson red hair, a face so picturesque it felt unreal. She looked like what cultivation junkies would call an ’immortal fairy’—and she made those shams look pathetic..

Those red ruby eyes looked at me with such warmth it felt like I was melting within them, the black blouse she wore emphasizing her ludicrous assets, no seriously, those breasts shouldn’t have been stuffed into something that-well-whatever it was.

Her black skirt hugged her lower body perfectly, the slit on the right showing a tantalizing glimpse of her sumptuous thighs, her entire ensemble showcased an hourglass figure that looked too perfect to be real, her beauty lit up my entire apartment, and that’s when the lights were already on..

She captured my attention without even trying, despite being surrounded by multiple other women at this point, only her mattered in my view, she was that captivating..

Melissa Blackthorn..

Yes, Blackthorn, she was my Lovely Aunt Raven’s daughter, and just like her mother, she was every bit a devastating piece of perfection.

In fact, I thought as my eyes drifted towards those criminally large breasts, she was more pronounced than her mother in some areas,

”Ahem”...

”Happy birthday D” she walked up to me, a rosy blush on her cheeks, she looked nervous, awkward, why, I couldn’t tell..

She hugged me, I could perceive her, roses and crushed lilies, she smelled like heaven..

I hugged her back, her body somehow melting into mine. A stress I hadn’t even realized I was carrying slipped away. This is nice, I thought silently...

At that moment, the public’s shaming, Cara and Micheal’s show of superiority, my dumb E-Rank talent..

None of it mattered, all that mattered, was her, her warmth, her presence...

”You planned all this?” I asked as we finally separated, my arms still around her waist, she blushed at our intimate position, but made no move to disengage..

”Umm” she nodded, more meekly than I know her for, ”do you like it?” She asked..

”Very much, thank you” I replied, a smile lighting up my face..

”And you, ladies, for you all to shower this pitiful E-rank with so much love, I’m moved to tears” I said, mock pity and pain dripping from my voice..

”Bahhhhh!!!

”Forget those snotty brats...

”Yea, the least among us awakened an A-rank talent any ways, all we’ve got to do is just take you dungeon running and you’d be the strongest E-rank talent holder, humph”..

Yes, these were the ladies that aunt v had overseen their awakening, but awakening A-rank talent being the least? That was something else..

”Okay enough talking, I’ve got champagne, let’s get this party STARTED!!!!!!..”

”Sigh, those girls are too wild” I couldn’t help muttering to myself, it was currently well past 9pm, after finally disengaging myself from that web of madness downstairs, I finally have some alone time to check out my cheat,

Finally~~

But before that thought could settle

Knock, Knock..

A soft knocking on my door interrupted me, ”enter” I said, then I saw her, Melissa..

”D, hic— you okay?” She slurred, clearly she was a bit drunk..

I chuckled, ”I’m fine Mel, but you seem to have overdone it a bit” I replied, shaking my head, I got up, only in my underwear, my immaculate physique visible, I could see the stunned look in her eyes, I smiled, amused..

”Come Mel, let’s get you some water” I said, grabbing hold of her hand, intending to lead her out, after all, a beauty like her, in a room with a young man like me was pure rumor fuel..

But before I could start leading the way, her hand held mine instead, I turned, a quizzical look in my eyes, ”something wrong Mel?” I asked..

””I... hic... I was happy when Mom told me you and that bitch... were done. Really happy.”.. she spoke up, and I froze for a moment, Melissa didn’t curse, that’s new? I thought to myself,

”You’re drunk Mel, let’s get you some water” I tried pulling my arm back, but, no dice, well what else did I expect, she’s a bonafide A-Rank expert, and someone at the peak of that rank, if she didn’t want me to go, I wouldn’t be going anywhere..

”You probably think I’m an awful person, hic, being happy about your breakup” she muttered softly..

”Never,” I ruffled her hair, ”it’s the alcohol speaking, no harm done” I said trying to soothe her..

”It’s not, D, stop always trying to play off my feelings!!” She yelled the last part, and I could see tears build up in her eyes? What did I say wrong?

”I was happy when mom told me the news because I thought, now that she was gone, now that you’re free, maybe, just maybe I can finally have my chance” she continued, somehow I could feel this conversation was more serious than I’d initially thought..

”Look Mel, let’s just get you sober then we can talk properly okay?” I said trying to soothe her..

”No!! You always do this!! Every time I try to tell you how I feel, you look for excuses to brush me, do you hate me that much!!!?” She screamed, tears falling freely from her eyes now..

I was stunned, the whole sequence of events leaving me momentarily lost for words, I didn’t know how to react..

But it seemed she did, as she raised my right hand, placing the palm right over her left chest, I could feel the softness of that overly large bound of flesh overflowing from my hands..

”You seem to never see me, D, ever since we were kids, you’d always looked past me, that’s why you chose that Morningstar bitch when my heart was crying for you” she began, I could feel her heart beat, mine slowly picking up speed to match..

”I thought I was obvious enough D, all the clues, all the hints, all the playful taps and jabs throughout our years growing up” as she spoke, memories began flashing in my mind, of our times together, of the way her eyes would always linger on me with a dreamy lost look, on the way she was somehow always present in my life..

Hell even now, when the world should’ve abandoned me, she and aunt V had only thought of my well being first, my heart sped up..

”I didn’t think I had to spell it out for you D, but if I have to, then I will, no more hiding, you’re not allowed to run anymore, you’ll let me know here and now if you truly hate me that much” as she said this, I could practically hear the speed at which my heart raced, almost in sink with hers..

”Dante Draven, you big dummy,

Badump—

I LOVE YOU GODDAMIT”..
