Chaos Devourer System: My Classless Ascension

Chapter 35: Chapter 34:My Turn!

The moment I arrived within the periphery of Thunder Peak, my control over the atmosphere faltered..

”Fucking shit...” I cursed, almost falling to what would’ve been an extremely unpleasant collision..

”What the hell?” I was confused, it felt like my authority over the atmosphere had been stripped by something more POWERFUL..

Screeeeeeechhhhhhhhhh!!!!!

I didn’t have time to ponder for long, the ungodly screech I’d heard earlier resounded once more, and this time the atmosphere responded..

Hummmmmmm....

I could feel a suffocating might pressing all around me...

”Fuck...”

For the first time ever, I’d finally felt what my foes felt when I used on them..

It felt like the surrounding air was actively against me, breathing got difficult. The raging storms seemed to have found a target as a thick bolt of lightning decended straight for my head...

Crackle...

I didn’t want to test my regeneration against lightning.

I moved before the attack struck true...

Boooom...

The attack found nothing but empty air...

As I looked towards the point of collision ”Hsssssss” I couldn’t help sucking in a deep breath...

A massive crater spanning over 10 meters wide gaped right at the spot lightning had struck...

Wooosh....woooosh....

The sounds of something beating against the wind reached my ears..

The all encompassing presence falling even harder on me.

I willed my talent further, forcefully ripping control over the atmospheric forces surrounding the few centimeters around my body, it was all I could manage before IT appeared...

FWOOOOOOSH!!!!!

The churning clouds parted as something decended from within..

”Oh My...” I was struck speechless..

Before all this, I’d expected the creature to be daunting, menacing.

But not... this..

The creature before me was unlike anything I could’ve expected...

Dark grey scales glistened under the churning clouds, golden veins of energy surging through them like living circuits of electricity...

It’s reptilian body easily over 50 meters long from head to tail, jagged obsidian spikes ran along the length of its back.

It’s scaly head bearing vicious dagger like teeth, slotted eyes staring down at me with cold indifference..

It’s forelimbs attached to it’s leathery wings beat softly as the muscular hind limbs looked capable of tearing through whatever was dumb enough to stand before it..

Regardless, the worse of all was definitely its aura.

It was feral, regal, DOMINANT. It pressed down on me with crushing force... the moment it appeared, it felt like the entire atmosphere had bowed before its true king and I was just a poser using something I never earned....

”Well...shit”. I knew this was going to be different..

My sky high stats didn’t give me any reassurance, not here, not with this..

[WARNING!!! WARNING!!!]

[EXTREMELY LETHAL THREAT DETECTED!!!]

....

Even my system seemed to have recognized the menace before me..

The stare down lasted half a heart beat before the creature moved...

It spread its wings high and immediately...

Crackle!!!!!!

Lightning churned within the dark clouds.

Fwooosh....fwooosh...

The winds roared as a raging tornado spawned out of thin air...

”Oh shiii....”

Booooooooommmmmmmmmmm!!!!!!

The attacks struck before I could raise a proper defense....

I was launched backwards faster than a missile, whatever composed my body turning into liquid sludge...

My consciousness almost winking out...

I could feel my regenerative and adaptive abilities immediately being shot into overdrive....

One move...the creature hadn’t even struck personally... One freaking move and I was almost unalived by this thing...

”Well fuck me...” I groaned, regaining my balance within the air..

””...

The atmosphere shifted, my control somewhat restoring, it was nothing more than the 5 meters around me, but it was enough..

surged through my veins, the talent being pushed into overdrive...

This wasn’t the time to be testing waters, I was going to get myself killed if I held back..

Done with all my activities, I launched forward...

BOOOOOM!!!!!

I manifested before the beast in a fury of rage and carnage...

My fist cocked back, then,

Booooo...Booo...Boooooommmm!!!

A concussive shockwave spread out from the impact of my fist with the beast..

The effects of kicking in...

Screeeeeechhhhhh!!!!!!!!

The beast was sent flying backwards with a screech of pain..

I didn’t let up..

Boooom!!!

Another punch tore out of me, as I my fist met the beast’s scaled head...

Ting!!!!!!

The impact was like colliding with indestructible steel..

Before I could get my bearings..

Fwiiiiiiiiiiii!!!!

A massive claw was already tearing through my midsection..

Splash!!!!!

Blood and organs erupted from my torso as I was sent hurtling backwards...

”

The talent surged to life, finally finding purchase, I placed my foot firmly on the earth as I willed the earth’s form to change..

Molecules shifted as the earth’s brownish hue turned a steely black, flowing effortlessly through my body, condensing around my fists into spiked full arm gauntlets..

”Just in time...”

Boooooom!!!!!!!!

I punched.

The atmosphere ruptured.

, and working in synergetic fashion to Birth a punch unlike no other...

Crack...thoooooommmmmm...

The earth imploded for miles around us as our attacks met....

My spiked gauntlets finally drawing blood as they pierced through the creatures scaled head.

But I wasn’t spared either, my right arm turning into blood mist as I was sent flying once again...

”Damn it...” I flipped, landing back on my feet, the earth anchoring me steady...

”What the hell is this thing?” I was rightfully incredulous..

My strength stat was already a whopping 11,000 perks of my recent rank up.

That being boasted even further my 1,900% effectivenes should have made it easy for me to power creep whatever I faced.

Yet this thing...

”Alright, you big scaly lizard, let’s dance...”

I willed even further as the beast tried to reorient itself..

The earth shifted beneath me, transmuting into black steely substance that went on to cover the rest of my body...

activating as six hexagonal golden shields manisfested around me. A trail of translucent gold light shining around and through them...

Booooom!!!!

I didn’t wait.

I launched myself toward the creature..

Boooom...

My punch collided with a satisfying thud..

Screeeeechh!!!!!

The creature shrieked.

It’s hind limbs stomping down hard and fast, lighting coiling around its legs as the Storm responded, thick bolts of lightning surging downwards, threatening to turn me into ash..

”Oh no you don’t...” I crossed my arms, willing and to slow down the monster’s charge while I dealt with the lightning..

Wrong move..

My talent, for the first time ever, failed miserably..

I felt like a child telling a soldier to attack his commander..

Ridiculous..

lasted nothing more than an instant before, crack...shatter..shattering into splintered shards of light..

The beast tore through whatever I tried, it’s leg finding purchase

Craaaackkkk!!!!!!!

I could feel my bones, bones that had already been fortified by , and actively turn into dust...

Then came the lightning...

Boooooommmmm!!!!

I could feel it trying to unmake me...

My abilities surged...

..

After all, my opponents till now had not been enough to push me into such dire straits..

But as I found myself under the relentless assault of this creature, I could finally feel the brokenness of this ability...

’A tail swipe here’

I ducked a nasty tail swipe...

I was starting to recognize it’s patterns..

’A claw attack, same as the first’

I let it land... Nothing.. no damage..

It’s repeated attacks no longer being able to draw blood..

’It’s going for a chump, right arm’

I swerved, my head diving into the creatures maws..

”Crack..thud”

No damage..

Swoooooshhhh

Thud!!!!!

The last message rang out just in time for the creature’s tail to find my abdomen... yet nothing...

This ability of mine, after repeated abuse, had finally done its job...

The creature roared angrily..

The clouds churned, a thick Pilar sized bolt of lightning striking true...

Booooom!!!!!!

Wooosh..

The dust cleared, I was still there, not a scratch..

Stronger.

More resilient..

And now, downright immune to whatever this creature had pulled out until now...

I looked at the beast, and I could see the confusion in its eyes...

”Alright” I cracked my neck, an audible boom sounding from the gesture..

”It’s my turn...”

Time to pay the lizard back..
