Wizard: I Add Points and Hunt Monsters

[You have witnessed the slumber of Death God Olanir!]

He had witnessed it... the slumber of Death God Olanir...

Wei’en stared blankly at the figure hidden behind the Corpse Mountain. ’That... is the Death God?’

In the distant sky, a massive, dark-golden throne stood behind the Corpse Mountain. The figure of the Death God was seated upon it, one hand propping up its bowed head, its face obscured. Through a tear in the collar of its black robes, a sliver of deathly pale skin was faintly visible.

A black scythe, as tall as the Corpse Mountain itself, stood beside the throne. Its handle plunged into the void-black ground, while its blade curved in an arc over the throne, as if to protect the Divine Body seated below.

[You have witnessed Death God Olanir. Olanir’s awakening progress +2. Current progress: 5/???. Special Reward: Origin +2.]

Ugh.

Wei’en’s vision went black. Two trails of blood streamed from his shattered eye sockets, the faint smell of iron filling the air.

”Stay, stay, st—”

The howling wind rushed past his ears again as if drawn by the scent of blood. He could feel his body begin to fall, with nothing to catch his purchase.

”Heal!”

[Your body has been affected by a Healing Spell. Your injuries are recovering at an accelerated rate... Reward: Survival Points +50.]

[Your body has received the healing effect of the Partner Contract. Your injuries are recovering. Evaluation: If It were not slumbering, you would be thoroughly dead! Reward: Survival Points +50.]

Wei’en didn’t open his eyes right away. He first turned around, putting his back to the figure, before slowly opening them.

Now, his vision was no longer filled with the abyss, Corpse Mountain, blood clouds, and the Divine Body of Death God Olanir from the Realm of Death. Instead, he saw the scene of the True World outside.

His perspective was like that of an observer watching a movie. The screen showed the *Leonard*, two smaller three-masted ships, and below them, the rampaging waves and frantically roaring Deep Sea abominations.

He could even make out everyone’s expressions and actions—Clelia’s surprise, Ronan and the pirates’ cheers, the sailors’ disbelief, and the despairing Inar!

At that moment, Wei’en noticed the existence of a membrane separating him from the outside world. It was like an illusory curtain, tinting the scene of the world outside with a layer of mist.

Immediately after, images surfaced in his mind—it was the description of Shadow Step.

”Dispel Shadow Step.”

As Red Heart received his command, his body slowly moved outward, exiting the Realm of Death.

Wei’en’s gaze locked onto Inar as he reached out, his hand piercing through the membrane.

BANG!

His hand seized Inar’s head. His body broke free from the clinging membrane, and his figure reappeared in the outside world—

’So that’s how it works!’

When he entered that Realm of Death, the so-called ”vision” meant he could watch the outside world from a god’s-eye view and then instantly appear anywhere within that scene.

And as for the twenty-percent increase in movement speed, that referred to the boost he would receive *after* leaving the Realm of Death. The combined effects lasted for fifteen seconds.

Thinking of this, Wei’en took out a handkerchief, wiped the blood from his hands, then gently dabbed away the bloody tracks on his face. He looked at Antonella and the others. ”Now, I am satisfied.”

Very satisfied, in fact!

’The Realm of Death of Death God Olanir, the slumbering place of a god with a Corpse Mountain and blood clouds—he could actually enter and leave it at will!’

But beyond satisfaction, Wei’en was mostly relieved. He was relieved that he had just shifted his base stats, and even more relieved that he had used the Blood Boiling Technique to increase his Toughness Level before entering.

Otherwise, according to the system panel’s prompts, if he had entered in his normal state—or more accurately, if he had witnessed the Divine Body of Death God Olanir in his normal state—his own body would have disintegrated on the spot!

’An Extraordinary with a Toughness Level below twenty thousand can’t even lay eyes on It. What terrifying power!’

’If It were to truly descend upon the True World, wouldn’t most of the world be reduced to a pulp of flesh and blood?’

”Honorable Captain...”

”Wei’en.”

”Cap-Captain Wei’en,” Antonella didn’t dare show any reaction to being interrupted. She bowed respectfully. ”On behalf of the Wester Clan, I thank you for your satisfaction!”

Wei’en gave her a noncommittal look. His mind was still filled with the image of that colossal figure, making him feel somewhat listless when facing these ordinary people.

’Compared to that god, these low-level Extraordinaries are nothing more than ants holding weapons...’

”Fulfill the previous conditions. Quickly!”

Antonella pressed her lips together and bowed again. ”As you command.”

After saying this, she turned to the sailors behind her and forced a smile. ”I’m sorry. Everyone from the second squad and back, along with those who belong to Inar’s group... g-go to that ship together.”

Everyone looked at her with complicated expressions, though none were too surprised by her choice.

These sailors, who had spent years navigating the Cordo Sea, knew very well that with the Wester Clan’s reputation, the best-case scenario when encountering pirates was to hand over gold pounds. The worst-case scenario... was this!

”Captain Antonella, thank you for looking after us during this time.”
