Chapter 1031: Chapter 48: Battle of La-Mesnil Abbey (Part 2)

The undead array gradually descended into chaos, the previously tight formation becoming disordered.

At this moment, a loud horn sounded from the left-wing array, a red and white shield emblem, a silver sharp sword piercing through a book with a Holy Grail pattern and ribbon family crest banner held high: ”Doo woo~ Doo woo~ Doo woo~”

”Witness the power of the Lady’s Divine Chosen Champion!” The hopeful cry echoed through the left-wing defense array, as Holy Grail Knight Armand held high Laine’s family crest banner. Knights from the Count Glamorgan domain gathered behind Laine, and at the most critical moment, hundreds of knights personally led by Laine himself joined the battlefield!

Fully equipped, Laine rode on the Pure-blooded Elf Warhorse, tightly gripping Mjolnir, with silver flames burning on the hammer’s head. His handsome face showed only coldness, and blue pupils swirled with anger and a faint spiritual light.

”Knights! My brethren!” The Count shouted loudly, his speech powerful and captivating. All the knights in his army gathered and lined up behind him.

Amidst the gray and black undead tide, the knights’ figures were so conspicuous and dazzling, under the reflection of moonlight and torches, the armor gleamed, surrounded by cold winds and smoke, the cloaks and robes flapped loudly.

”In the name of the Lady, in the name of the Kingdom, knights, let us demonstrate our courage, our belief, our glory to all, let us charge together, fight together to protect the land the Lady bestowed upon us!”

”If we fail here, the undead will sweep across the realm, the dark will extinguish the flame of hope, but we will not fail! Because I, Laine Macado, will be with you, ushering in victory and the dawn!”

”Break through the darkness with our courage!”

”For the Lady! For Brittania!”

”Advance!!!”

Leveling the cavalry lance, closing the visor, the knights offered their final prayer to the Lake Fairy, then tugged on the reins, shouting loudly: ”For the Lady! For Brittania!”

The soldiers cleared the path, the silver torrent like a raging storm swept through the undead array, Laine charging at the forefront, any enemy before him was either crushed into pulp or bone shards. The lightning-like assault formation tore apart all efforts of Guer to regroup the army, amidst the stuffy air filled with the madness of war, the silver torrent swept away all enemies, skilled cavalry lance techniques accurately piercing targets, the sharp lance’s sound of entering flesh or bone echoed densely, opening a dreadful scar in the undead tide.

”Spiritual Storm!!!” Laine charged at the forefront of everyone, his face filled only with fury. The Divine Chosen Champion of the Lake Fairy unleashed a vast spiritual storm, light blue lightning exploded among the undead ranks, ripping enemies into fragments. His Mjolnir first smashed the head of a Tomb Evil Ghost from its neck, followed by a spin of the hammerhead, sending the undead soaring into the sky.

Following Laine’s charge, the knights shouted loudly, together tearing apart the enemies. This offensive was exceptionally fierce, the knights committed their pride and skills to protect the Goddess’s land.

”That’s why I love the knights of this country...” Belgar stood on the Oath Stone, watching the unstoppable force of Laine’s charge, laughing heartily: ”It’s like a bloody iris blooming from a rock crevice.”

Alaros used the Long Spear to pierce through the Desolate Tomb Guard in front of him, his face pale, suddenly realizing his performance was not quite up to par, at least not good enough.

Immediately, the Divine Chosen Champion of Queen Airel’s face reddened again. He suddenly realized what a disgraceful thought he had, Alaros decided somberly in his heart: ”I must perform better, otherwise I’ll be looked down upon by Lilith!”

The momentum of the charge under Laine’s leadership was almost endless, the knights had no concern of it slowing down, blades and spear tips reaped the undead, an imminent reverse massacre was now unavoidable. The undead’s Commander felt a deep sense of joy and excitement, unleashing a silent roar, a blue Soul Fire spouting over a meter high from his mouth, then ordering the army to make way for him.

He was going to personally confront Laine.

Meanwhile, Laine also noticed Guer, the nearly three-meter tall Undead Chaos Four Gods Champion was raising a black giant axe single-handedly toward him, issuing a silent challenge.

He knew what it was.

It was a Champion duel’s invitation, just like when he faced the Crushing Bear Bireg in Mijordenhaven.

”Then, come!”
