Warhammer Divine Throne

The Undead Chaos Chosen Warriors gradually turned the tide of battle, and little by little, the knights became fatigued and began to suffer casualties. The left wing went from having the advantage to being at a disadvantage.

At this rate, failure was only a matter of time.

Francois, who was leading the Knight Army in charges, noticed this situation. He raised his Unicorn Sword and shouted loudly, ”Knights of Brittania! My brothers, my fellow countrymen!”

The knights regrouped under Francois’ command.

”Fight for yourself! Fight for the Lady! Fight to protect the Kingdom!!!” The knights of the Quenalis Champion Knights Brotherhood gathered together, forming an inverted triangle cavalry lance formation with Francois at the forefront.

”Forward!!! For the Lady! For Brittania!”

Francois fiercely spurred his beloved horse, leading the Quenalis Champion Knights Brotherhood in a charge towards Guer’s position.

It was the eye of the storm on the battlefield.

”Francois! Finally here!” Kemler stood high on the command platform, looking at the figure of the Duke of Winford with an extremely venomous expression: ”Finish him! Guer! Take him down!”

The first clash between Francois’ Unicorn Sword and Guer’s black giant axe sparked a shower of fire, with a tremendous force almost throwing the Duke of Winford off his warhorse.

Francois’ eyes widened; he did not know why the Undead Chaos Champion before him had appeared, but he was an enemy! That was enough. The Duke, skillful at horsemanship and having reached its pinnacle, easily adjusted his body slightly, firmly pressing the stirrups with his feet to regain balance. Then, the Unicorn Sword shone again: ”Lady, please grant me the strength for revenge!”

The dazzling light unleashed by the Unicorn Sword engulfed Guer’s figure, and the nearby undead were collectively purified into piles of residue. Even those Undead Chaos Chosen Warriors were subdued by the blinding light, momentarily halting their movements.

The Undead Chaos Four Gods Champion was unaffected by the light. Guer raised his giant axe, standing on piles of dozens of knights’ corpses, chuckling. The serrated edge of his black giant axe was stained with knights’ blood, as the Unicorn Sword and black giant axe clashed again.

Again, neither gained the upper hand!

On the battlefield, the fight continued. In this grinder of flesh, the left-wing knights began to struggle, while the Central Infantry Corps no longer restrained by knights, found themselves powerless against the increasingly overwhelming Undead Legion. On the right, the dwarves were still in a bitter struggle, and out of pride, Belgar did not ask humans for reinforcements, but he and his Dwarf Army were too few in number.

Francois exerted all his strength to fend off Guer’s giant axe. He turned his horse, rushing rapidly through the Undead Chaos Chosen Warriors’ lines, the Unicorn Sword spinning and driving back several rearmed weapons and a battle halberd. He tried to pierce the helmet of an Undead Chaos Chosen Warrior with his sword, blessed by the Lake God.

There is no invincible being; there must be a way to kill these formidable undead!

It worked! Under the powerful blessing from the Lake Fairy, black smoke billowed out from the helmet of the Divine Chosen Warrior in front of him. Under the holy power of purification, the skull filled with the Power of Chaos and the Power of the Undead evaporated, and the armor devoid of its skeletal support fell to the ground.

Successfully killing a Divine Chosen Warrior did not bring Francois any joy. He was already a High-Tier Knight nearing the pinnacle of the Holy Sanctuary. How many on the battlefield possessed his strength?

”Duke, at this rate, we won’t make it! We will lose!” Count Conde Renou cut a bloody path to Francois’ side, his armor stained with undead blood and flesh: ”We have to figure out something!”

”No! We cannot fail here!” Francois tightened his grip around the Unicorn Sword, shaking his head repeatedly: ”Figure out a way to get close to Kemler, today I will settle this with him!”

”I will cover you! My Duke!” Sir Geoffrey of Angleton called out to Francois, leading his small band of knights: ”I will buy you time!”

”Alright!” Francois knew now was no time for hesitation, the midday sun was already high in the sky, and the Knightly Army and the Undead Legion had fought from dawn to noon.

The human army began to tire.

Francois led the Champion Knights to charge again towards Kemler’s command position in the Ancient Tomb Legion. Following Kemler’s orders, Guer attempted to block the knights, but a knight in silver full-body plate armor used his sword to parry the giant axe: ”Geoffrey of Angleton stands here! Who dares to claim my head?!”

Having said that, Sir Geoffrey, this Brittania hero who had once slain a dragon, intercepted Guer, allowing Francois and two or three other knights to truly breach the last line of defense, charging towards Kemler’s location.

”Hoo~” Soul fire flared up in Guer’s hollow eyes as he engaged Geoffrey in a furious battle.

A couple of exchanges later, Sir Geoffrey immediately recognized that he was no match for Guer, his arms were numbed, utterly powerless to resist Guer’s assault.

The black giant axe shattered his shield with a single blow. Geoffrey bitterly smiled, gripping his flaming sword with both hands, and faced Guer head-on.

Lady, Geoffrey has served you until now, and when the time comes, may I continue to fight for you in your Divine Kingdom...

Mr. Francois, best of luck to you...
