Warhammer Divine Throne

”No direct news, but there must be results.” Surya’s ocean-blue eyes were full of confidence in her husband: ”We have been here for half a day, the mouse swarm has yet to surge, they cannot have failed to notice us, and the two dimensional lightning cannons that breached the camp have also disappeared.”

”The Duke of Montfort cannot send troops to support us.” Teresa shook her head, the female sorcerer said softly: ”Montfort Duchy has also been attacked by the ratmen, two villages were attacked, Duke Fulcard himself is leading the knights to fight against the ratmen, their reply said they cannot support us.”

”Cunning ratmen, they must have dispatched detachments to distract Fulcard’s focus.” Veronica’s eyes flickered, she first arranged: ”So, Lady Surya, this time I leave it to you.”

”Tell me what to do, I’m listening.” Surya was quite open-minded, knowing her outdoor adventure experience and familiarity with the Skaven ratmen were inferior to Veronica. This was not the time to act impulsively, she decided to listen to the witch’s advice, whether to comply would be decided later.

”Lady Surya, you are beautiful, of noble birth, and your equipment is the most luxurious. You need to be stationed in the hall.” Veronica first said: ”The refugees see a Marchioness and Great Noble of Brittania, Countess of Laine living and dying with them, their hearts will surely be much calmer. First, everyone will believe that Laine will definitely return to aid, he may not save these refugees, but he would never abandon his wife! Lady Surya, you need to give speeches, use slogans to inspire hearts.”

”Alright, I understand.” Surya nodded.

”Trovik, what you need to do is use ice walls to seal off some corners of the Justice Church, but don’t seal off everything, leave the church door open. We want the ratmen to attack us directly from the stairs at the church entrance. Besides casting ice walls, you must save magic power, do not cast large spells unless absolutely necessary.” Veronica continued instructing.

”Understood.” Teresa also nodded.

”Then… go find Mr. Abel, have him lead the paladins to patrol the basement, ensuring no ratmen detachments invade the interior of the church from there. Demon Hunters are most adept and familiar with such tasks, he will surely fulfill it flawlessly.”

”Let Imperial Captain Huber use explosives to blow up half of the stairs at the church entrance, remember it’s half, not completely. Blowing it all up would only make the ratmen look for another route. After blowing up half, have the two Rick Guards lead musketeers, great swordsmen, and long spear soldiers to defend at the staircase entrance and the church entrance.”

”Finally, Miss Sylvia, find a way to have the servants spread rumors among the refugees, saying that His Majesty Emperor Carl Franz’s large reinforcements are already rushing here, the Emperor’s army will definitively resolve the ratmen’s threat, the refugees need such rumors, this will calm them down.”

”Understood!”

Following Veronica’s instructions, Surya gave an inspiring speech, as the Marchioness of Winford, she naturally knew how to lift spirits. Her beautiful appearance, glittering gear, and flaming sharp sword motivated all survivors’ morale.

Rumors of the Emperor’s reinforcements being on the way spread among the refugees, indeed stabilizing minds inside the church, soldiers’ morale somewhat restored. Under the Rick Guards’ command, defenses were orderly arranged, positioning for resistance against the ratmen’s attack, while awaiting reinforcements’ arrival.

Two hours later.

”Boom~ Boom~ Boom~” The burning Hemgart City bell rang out again! Subsequently, countless Skaven ratmen’s incessant murmuring and restless noises came from all over the city, from mines, sewers, basements, thousands of ratmen appeared once more.

The mouse swarm is here again!!!
