Warhammer Divine Throne

Within the collapsed ruins of Hemgart, Laine hides inside a residence, carefully observing the situation nearby.

The streets are filled with Ratmen, forming tight formations as they patrol the street.

It’s not that Laine fears these Ratmen, for in his eyes, the visible Ratmen are not the real threat; the true threat is the unseen presence.

The house has been breached from the side, and the people inside have disappeared. The Ratmen have scavenged everything usable from the house, leaving a mess behind.

”These Skaven Ratmen have come to Hemgart, but I don’t know what they want to do. If they’re here to steal grain, then the Avey Territory or the farms beneath Hemgart would be easier targets. If it’s to mine dimensional stone, Hemgart doesn’t have any such stone!” Laine murmurs to himself, holding his Warhammer and leaning against the wall.

He decides to observe the situation for a while longer, thinking that the Ratmen’s Warlord should be nearby.

This is Frank Street in Hemgart, a slum where filth and disease breed, an environment favored by the Ratmen.

Not far from Frank Street is a mine that has now been opened, with Ratmen army continuously pouring out.

Laine patiently waits.

Finally, after twenty more minutes, a group of Storm Rats dressed in red appears from the mine, surrounding a Grey Prophet in a white fur and gray robe.

This Grey Prophet rides a massive Storm Demon Rat.

Storm Demon Rats are even more brutal creations than Rat Giants. Whereas Rat Giants are forcibly pieced together using the strong bodies of various animals by Skaven, Storm Demon Rats are an upgraded version of Rat Giants.

Storm Demon Rats share the gigantic size of Rat Giants, but their bodies are equipped with machinery. Their hands are replaced with metallic dimensional stone revolvers or dimensional stone flame sprayers, and their faces and bodies are armored with dimensional stone, capable of easily resisting ordinary blades and magic attacks.

Besides the Storm Demon Rat ridden by the Grey Prophet, two more Storm Demon Rats walk out from the mine.

”Human things, diedie! Hemgart is already under the control of the Great Demon Rat Empire, yesyes!” The Grey Prophet summons the Storm Rats and Plague Monks, delivering a speech.

”Continue collecting more little, little human samples. We need more, more human specimens to create Deep Pit Hatred!”

”For the Great Horned Rat!”

The Ratmen respond in unison, then disperse in all directions.

Laine still hides behind the wall, contemplating whether to directly attack the Grey Prophet now.

After thinking a bit, the Grey Knight Primarch shakes his head. Killing the Grey Prophet now would undoubtedly cause chaos among the Ratmen, but it wouldn’t fundamentally resolve the Ratmen uprising. Perhaps this Grey Prophet is just a subordinate, and there are higher-level Grey Prophets or Skaven Warlords above him.

Better settle the Ratmen’s dimension cannon first! Laine looks up, focusing his gaze on the high-positioned dimension cannon.

The dimension cannon position is located at the Brant Highlands, in that filthy place where Ratmen discreetly assembled two dimension cannons, immediately destroying barracks, preventing Hemgart from organizing effective resistance.

Laine knows that if the Ratmen use the dimension cannon to bombard the Justice Church, the survivors hiding in the church will be in trouble!

Laine begins to move, raising his Warhammer, leaving Frank Street.

Fifteen minutes later, Hemgart, Brant Highlands.

The Ratmen guarding this height are in complete chaos!

”It’s a Demon! The gray Great Demon has come!”

”killkill!”

”Human Demon! Diedie!”

Hundreds and thousands of Ratmen charge down from the highland, the rat tide engulfing the entire height.

”Boom!” Almost simultaneously, all the Ratmen on the field rise off the ground, as a human clad in silver masterwork power armor, draped in the Holy Grail Cloak, charges alone toward the Ratmen!

”Hah!” Laine appears with a roar, gripping the Warhammer’s handle with both hands, sweeping horizontally to send twenty or thirty rats flying into the sky!

Mjolnir flashes with thunder as it descends, smashing two Clan Rats into pulp, the bodies explode on the spot, and the Power of Thunder bursts inside them, causing several nearby Slave Rats to be blown into chunks at almost the same time!

The Warhammer sweeps again, causing over a dozen Ratmen to die instantly.

After leaving over two hundred Ratmen corpses behind, the remaining Ratmen hesitate to advance.

”Kill the human! Kill him! Kill him!” The Storm Rats urgently command: ”Long spear thrust!”

Dozens of Clan Rats form a long spear array, charging at Laine in unison.

”Vermin, face your punishment!” Laine laughs cruelly, extending his hand, where a long Spiritual Blade protrudes from his wrist. The Divine Chosen Champion of the Lake Fairy grips the dozen spears in his hand all at once and crushes them.

Along the way, the Spiritual Blade decapitates a dozen rat heads.

When Laine retracts his hand, the dozen headless Clan Rats fall simultaneously, his movements never ceasing. He swings the Warhammer backward, instantly killing a charging Assassin Rat, its dimensional stone blade not even getting close to Laine’s cloak.

Across Brant Highlands, piles of Skaven Ratmen corpses form small hills. Laine raises the Warhammer with both hands, advancing step by step toward the Ratmen’s position. The Skaven Ratmen despairingly flee on the battlefield, these numerous hybrids being engulfed by the Spiritual Storm immediately. In a dozen seconds, the entire battlefield is left with only a large amount of charcoal.
