Warhammer Divine Throne

”Open fire!” Led by a company of veterans, the crossbowmen and musket soldiers fired at the gradually approaching Lizardman Warriors. The densely packed crossbow arrows and muskets took down the entire front row of Lizardman Warriors.

The effectiveness of the crossbows has diminished considerably. Unlike the Spirit Lizard soldiers, Lizardman Warriors have tough skin and carry shields. As long as they aren’t struck in a vital spot, they won’t fall. They rage with the anger of a primal creature, and many Lizardman Warriors, with a dozen feathered arrows embedded in them, continue their charge.

”Uwaaah!” The first Lizardman Warrior reached the human military formation and swung its wolf fang club, effortlessly knocking aside the points of several Long Spears. ”Roar!!”

”Stab!” The Long Spear Soldiers backed up, gripping their spears with both hands, and with a fierce thrust, seven or eight Long Spears pierced the Lizardman Warrior.

”Such tough skin!” shouted a human soldier. ”Aim for the vitals!”

Unlike the Spirit Lizards, these Lizardman Warriors have much tougher hides. Ordinary Long Spear tips struggle to penetrate unless the blow is delivered with considerable force.

”Hold the line!!” The morale of the human soldiers soared as they banded together tightly, forming a forest of spears, making it difficult for the Lizardman Warriors to break through. Singing songs of courage, they fiercely thrust their Long Spears and long halberds forward.

”Die, Alien!!!” A young recruit thrust his Long Spear into the belly of a Lizardman Warrior with all his might, getting splattered with crimson blood.

Instinctively, he tried to pull out his spear but found the Lizardman Warrior gripping the spear tightly. The Alien in front of him held the shaft firmly, then reversed it and used its own Lizardman Long Spear to pierce through the recruit’s skull!

Blood splattered everywhere; the recruit’s head was pierced through, and the soldier next to him could even taste his brain matter.

No time for mourning, no time for anger; a Long Spear Soldier immediately filled the gap in the formation. Before the next wave of Lizardman Warriors charged, the crossbowmen and musketeers had reloaded: ”Fire!”

”Bang~ bang bang bang~” The cacophony of muskets resounded, and the Lizardman Warriors at the front of the military formation were hit by a volley of musket fire at close range, leaving a swath of corpses behind.

The first Lizardman Legion had already suffered more than half casualties. Although humans also faced significant losses, after the human artillery’s second round of bombardment intercepted the Lizardman Warriors preparing to charge, a whistle and a distinctive roar finally came from deep within the forest.

”Cavalry!!!” The human army quickly spotted a large group of cavalry launching an attack from the flank!

Several hundred cavalry, composed of Cold Lizard riders resembling horses and Lizardmen, some wielding spears, others clubs, swiftly bypassed the ruins, heading straight for the side of the human formation, aiming directly for the cannon and mortar positions!

”Stay calm!” Fugen raised his golden power sword: ”Gray Wolf Array!”

”Yes!” The human soldiers responded loudly. Faced with the Cold Lizard Cavalry attacking from the flank, the soldiers quickly organized into small units and rushed to intercept the cavalry’s path, preparing to engage.

The well-trained Long Spear Soldiers planted their shields into the ground and raised their spears. As the cavalry approached, these soldiers suddenly took a step back, knelt, and raised their shields at an angle.

”???” Hundreds of Cold Lizard Cavalry didn’t react in time to the humans’ maneuvers. The Cold Lizards stepped directly onto the shields, leaping over the first row of soldiers, only to find themselves suddenly stepping into thin air, falling down.

Awaiting them were a large number of Long Spear Soldiers and Sword and Shield Soldiers. Every Cold Lizard Cavalryman who landed on the human formation found themselves facing at least three human enemies!

”Advance!!!” The Great Swordsman joined the battle, the battle-hardened veterans wielding their two-handed giant swords quickly dispatched the isolated Cold Lizard Cavalry. Many Lizardmen were pulled off their Cold Lizards, falling into the encirclement of the humans.

”Rise!” Fugen ordered as half of the Cold Lizard Cavalry had been drawn in. The Long Spear Soldiers erected their shields, blocking the remaining Cold Lizard Cavalry outside the lines, engaging in fierce combat with the Long Spear Soldiers.

From the front to the flanks, everywhere, the figures of the human army and Lizardman Legion clashed. The entire ruin was like a grinder of flesh and blood, the humans and Lizardman Legions, driven to madness by the bloodshed, engaged in brutal close combat.

Deep in the rainforest, a Spirit Lizard Priest spoke solemnly to the blue Lizardman sitting atop the Tyrannosaurus: ”War Leader, the battle has reached a stalemate. At this rate, our losses will far exceed our gains.”

Massively built, wielding the Divine Tlanxla Battle Spear in one hand and the ”Hand of the Gods” in the other, riding the immortal Tyrannosaurus ”Kuimok,” the Lizardman War Leader Kuga sat high on his throne. His ruthless eyes observed the battlefield situation. His horns and head were adorned with gold, and his beastly eyes, filled with cruelty and bestial nature, showed only a fervor for war and a bloodthirsty desire to kill. His golden armor served merely as decoration—his skin was tougher than the strongest steel.

Kuga, an ancient Lizardman, was the last survivor of the Lizardman Ashhot race.

After the Ancient Saints departed, the teleportation gates were destroyed, and Chaos descended, Kuga and the other Lizardmen battled against the Chaos Demons. Initially, under Shilan’s leadership, the Lizardmen held the upper hand. However, the Chaos Demons were endless, and after centuries of warfare, the Lizardman Legion could no longer hold on. Kuga and his forces were forced to retreat into the city of Xihout, relying on Shilan’s magic for defense.
