Warhammer Divine Throne

”So, this time the Imperial Envoy is actually a Prince-Elector, and not just any, but the renowned White Wolf Prince-Elector. This is a strong signal from His Majesty Carl Franz to us in Brittania.” Francois’ face didn’t look good: ”Over time, the alliance between the Empire and Brittania will become Empire-dominated!”

”How can this be?! Father!” Julius immediately stood up, the young Kingdom Knight’s face full of anger: ”What do the humans over the mountain want? To force us into submission?”

”Sit down, Julius!” Francois fiercely looked at his son, and Julius had to sit down. The Duke continued: ”We are weak, so we must adopt a low profile. If we want the Empire to respect us, we must become strong ourselves! What’s the use in being aggressive?”

Julius responded in a low voice: ”As you say, Father.”

”Then we must now understand who this Imperial Envoy is. From the Charlemagne’s founding of the Empire up to the present, the title of White Wolf Prince-Elector, this Boris Todbringer who leads a vast entourage of Cheetah Knights and White Wolf Knights to Brittania, what is his background.” Francois set his gaze on Laine: ”Tell us, my Baron.”

”Boris Todbringer is a man with a painful past and a violent temper. Since his birth, a series of miseries have befallen this great noble.” Laine began to speak.

”He lost his mother as a child, and more recently his father. During the Drakwald Forest campaign, he blinded the Beast King ’One-eyed’ Kazak’s eye, but Kazak took one of his eyes as well. He married young, but his first wife Maria Lichhofen died in childbirth, leaving him a son, Stefan, who is a drooling young invalid.”

”Moreover, Boris discovered that a female courtier he had been with bore him an illegitimate son named Heinrich. This illegitimate son, not only his eldest, possesses amazing talent and aptitude, placing Boris in constant torment over choosing his heir.”

”This has led Boris Todbringer to have a short-tempered and irritable nature. He has harsh demands for his subordinates and people, garnering many who dislike him, yet he is also a great warrior and statesman. Now at the age of forty, his power is estimated to be around the Legendary High-Tier. His firm faith in the White Wolf War God allows him to never forsake hope and glory. His inner strength is like the Vibranium deep within a mountain, utterly unshakeable.”

”If that’s the case, we will soon come to know why His Majesty Franz dispatched this Prince-Elector to Kulona.” Francois nodded.

While they were still discussing matters, suddenly an attendant burst into the drawing-room. Upon seeing so many people gathered, he hesitated to speak directly: ”My Duke? There is a visitor.”

”Who is it? Visiting at this time?” Francois frowned: ”We’re all among ourselves here, you can just say who has come.”

”It is the newly appointed Duke of Connet, Lord Lorne-Rio Cornwall, here to visit. He specifically names you, Duke, and also requests to see Baron Laine.” The attendant spoke in a low voice.

Laine and Francois exchanged puzzled glances. It was already past eight in the evening, what could possibly bring someone to visit at this hour?

”Bring him in!” Francois said.

”Yes!”
