Warhammer Divine Throne

The Wizard Tower, hailed as a symbol of a wizard’s status and wealth, no wonder Teresa has been longing to have her own Wizard Tower. The female sorcerer is still sharing a Wizard Tower with her mother.

”Teresa is still longing for her Wizard Tower. I remember she has always considered having her own Wizard Tower as the basis of her independence.” Amidst the snowy landscape, Laine held Veronica’s hand. The two had just finished visiting the vineyard; the wine expert sent from the Winford Court was indeed a master. Under his care, the grapes in the vineyard were well nurtured, and high-quality wine is expected to be produced next year.

So the two returned near the castle. Veronica needed to choose a location for her future Wizard Tower. The witch had several requirements for her future Wizard Tower: it should be close to Laine’s castle, be secluded enough to not be easily disturbed, and be relatively accessible.

As for the Magic Wind, there were no particular requirements. In the Prime Material World, the Great Vortex bounds the Magic Winds, so the world essentially lacks what one might call a ”Place of Gathering Spiritual Energy” for cultivation. The Magic Wind is complex, ever-changing, and unpredictable, so a wizard’s practice relies more on themselves.

”...I really don’t know what potion Trovik has given you. Why do you always remember the good things about her?” Veronica said irritably while holding Laine’s hand. Kasenberg and Gaspardon went off with their people to handle their own matters; now that they were back near the castle, they didn’t need to follow the Lord anymore.

So it was just Laine and Veronica left. The witch enjoyed the feeling of holding hands during leisure times, but she didn’t appreciate the topic Laine brought up: ”Don’t you remember the unpleasant memories Trovik brought you?”

”Veronica~ I’m a Holy Grail Knight; I can’t just cling to Teresa’s faults all the time. For her first adventure, her performance was already quite competent. By your logic, haven’t you also left me with many bad memories? For instance, three years ago, when you kicked me...” Laine was about to continue, but Veronica pinched his arm: ”Don’t mention that! Didn’t I apologize later? I’m already yours, what more do you want?”

”Alright, alright, what I wanted to say is, Teresa had also mentioned wanting to establish a Wizard Tower back then.” Laine had to switch topics: ”I’m a bit curious, do all Jialan witches like to talk about this? After being my partner for two years, you were also constantly talking about it with me.”

”??!!” Veronica’s face immediately darkened, her eyes shifted as she quickly asked, ”Did you agree?”

”No, she said she wanted to build a new Wizard Tower and told me to work harder. I said what does that have to do with me?” Laine nonchalantly recounted their conversation from that time.

”Exactly, if she wants to build her Wizard Tower, she can do it herself; it has nothing to do with you!” A glimmer of pride flashed in Veronica’s eyes, and she clung to Laine’s arm, speaking coquettishly, ”You did the right thing!”

In her heart, the witch didn’t think so. She was rather pleased with her early precaution.

In fact, in the Jialan Council, there was an unspoken consensus: when a witch tells a man about her intentions to build a Wizard Tower, she’s actually expressing her interest subtly. Veronica was certain that Teresa’s intentions were precisely that.

But what the female sorcerer didn’t realize was that Veronica had already warned Laine early on. After their relationship was established, the witch frequently reminded him that when a witch talks to you about Wizard Towers, they want to exploit your resources and power. In this matter, you must be cautious and vigilant; except for me, they are all bad people!

Therefore, Laine never perceived Teresa’s implied meaning.

After checking out a few places, Veronica favored a spot about five minutes away from Laine Castle, an open area backed by mountains. The space was near the Oracle Mountains behind Baron Gene’s Domain and the mountain path. At the edge of the open area was a forest, with a path leading directly to the rear of Laine’s Baron Castle. Building a section of wall could connect this place with Laine’s castle.

With the address for the Wizard Tower decided, the wind and snow outside grew heavier. Thus, Laine brought Veronica back to his castle, where they sat by the fire, watching the snow. In this leisurely wintertime, Laine and Veronica nestled together, feeling very cozy.

”Knock knock~ Master, the gifts you ordered have been sent.” The door to the master bedroom was knocked, and the Dark Elf Ollica entered, carrying tea. Placing the tea on the small table, Laine simply took her hand: ”Ollica, join us.”

”Alright.” The Dark Elf blushed slightly but sat down. She removed her black boots, sitting beside Laine, her long legs in white stockings were quite eye-catching, contrasting nicely with the witch’s black silk-clad legs.

Veronica glanced interestingly at the Dark Elf but said nothing more, although her eyes held some hostility. Similarly, the Dark Elf also bore a hint of hostility towards the witch, but it remained unrevealed.
