Chapter 430: Chapter 184, The Iron Fist of Fatherly Love

The Ascension Demon Primarch’s face first showed surprise, then shock, followed by hesitation. Magnus saw that figure filled with countless miracles and light, and the Demon Primarch couldn’t help but step back two paces.

Amidst the countless Imperial Guard, the Emperor’s glory spread across the sky.

Machines roared, banners soared, the Emperor’s supreme sacred power enveloped the entire battlefield. Golden fighters swooped over the battleground, the Demons of Tzeentch fell one by one, the tall Imperial Guard had high morale, filled with power, and the Red Letter Warriors faced nothing but one-sided slaughter.

And there were the Silent Sisters, the natural nemesis of these Thousand Sons Sorcerers. With their presence, the Thousand Sons’ spells could no longer have any effect, dissipating into nothingness before touching the Nuns.

The Imperial Guards charged into the crowd of Red Letter Warriors like yellow lightning. Each attack was as if the Ancient War God had returned to the world, reaping the heads of the rebellious legion at will.

Only the Emperor extended his hand to signal everyone to step aside, the Master of Humans carrying a cold look, yet with a kind of anger for their helplessness: ”Magnus?”

The Red Son was no longer like he once was in the Emperor’s memory.

In the Emperor’s memory, the last time he saw Magnus, this Fifteenth Legion Primarch wore golden power armor, held a Longsword, and adorned himself with feathers and dazzling patterns. He always looked at him with a seeking gaze, like a studious child.

Magnus’s foolish actions ruined everything. Had it not been for him, I would have completed the Net Dao long ago, and the Imperial Guard wouldn’t have battled demons in the Net Dao for ten thousand years, reduced from ten thousand men to one thousand.

If not for him, I wouldn’t have been so weak during the confrontation with Horus, leading to being severely wounded without resolve, and eventually sitting on the Golden Throne for ten thousand years.

”Father? Emperor? The God of Corpse Decay sitting on the Golden Throne?” Shockingly, Magnus only slightly faltered before erupting with greater rage: ”You lived? After making so many foolish mistakes, you actually lived? How did Horus not stab you to death back then?”

Vile words spewed from Magnus’s mouth, each sentence crystallizing and scattering on the moon’s surface.

The madness-like words of the Demon Primarch provoked the fury of all human troops on the battlefield, many Imperial Guards glared with hatred at the Demon Primarch, ready to tear Magnus to pieces at the Emperor’s command.

Yet amidst all the Imperial Guards, Silent Sisters, Space Marines, Mechanical Guard, and Fearless watched the Emperor raise his hand, indicating everyone to temporarily not trouble Magnus, and to take care of Magnus’s army first.

”Five meters tall, with large horns, wings on his back, hmm, and powerful witchcraft, a Demon World, this is the reward Tzeentch gave you.” The Emperor’s face carried the coldness of ice for millennia, the anger was not evident, only a lament for their helplessness: ”But even Tzeentch can’t help you, look at your children, what do they have left?”

Thirteenth Legion Primarch Roboute Kiliman fought on the front lines, where his giant sword passed, empty helmets fell lazily to the moon’s surface, floating aimlessly. Besides shattered power armor, the Red Letter Warriors had nothing left, their armors empty within.

Embracing Chaos brought mutations. The corruption of Chaos twisted the souls and bodies of the erstwhile Thousand Sons Space Marines completely. To save this mutation, Magnus’s chief sorcerer Ahriman controlled Chaos pollution through ”Red Letters,” but most of the Chaos Space Marines turned into empty shells—bodies to dust, souls eternally imprisoned in armor, becoming a puppet.

Magnus raised his blade staff. The eyes of the Ascension Demon Primarch filled with unparalleled rage, the hatred seemed to burn in his blind eye, while the other eye fixedly stared at the calm Emperor. He felt hot blood rushing to his head. His voice fast and urgent, like an Explosive Arrow Gun spitting fire one after another: ”Why can you be so calm? Tell me, Father? Why can you be so calm? You brought my children to the brink of destruction, you personally declared our rebellion!”

”What do you want me to do? What can I do? Should I sit back and watch my legion perish entirely in mutation? Or be caught as traitors altogether?”

The Emperor grasped the giant sword burning with flames. He shook his head coldly: ”Your foolishness created your outcome, Magnus.”

”No! It’s not my foolishness, it’s yours!” Magnus loudly refuted the Emperor’s words, the Demon Primarch looked like a maddened rabid dog: ”I admit my immature transmission wrecked your plan, but I meant it for you! And you? Great Divine Emperor? Master of Humans? You ignored my warnings, fine, but look at what you’ve done!”

”You sent your wolf dogs, taking their wolf sons and grandsons to my planet to seize me. Yes, I did wrong, I admitted, I shut down defense systems, diverted fleets, I accept your judgment, but ask Ruth, ask his pups, what did they do?”
