Warhammer Divine Throne

The knights rewarded him for his bravery by assigning him to work near the main camp, tending to the Master Knight’s Elf Warhorse.

For a peasant, this was a great honor—being able to clean up after a noble Elf Warhorse. If Deni could return alive to his home in Bastogne, he could boast about it in the village, and the village elders would surely view him differently.

This is a peasant who cleans up after the Master Knight’s Elf Warhorse! He’s no ordinary person now!

If he could stay in the same stable as the Elf Warhorse at night, he might just be the most respected and influential peasant in the village, destined to be the next village elder.

The hunter’s son chopped firewood earnestly, just like the peasants around him.

At that moment, the words of the Holy Grail Knight reached his ears, ”When do Beastmen usually attack?”

”The attacks of the Beastmen often relate to totems and celestial phenomena.”

”But we don’t have a Sky Mage or Star Mage here, we cannot predict the changes in celestial phenomena or foretell when the Beastmen will attack!”

”Damn, the weather in this season is always so volatile.”

The axe stopped chopping, and Deni remembered something, his eyes brightened.

The peasant beside him hurriedly slapped his shoulder hard, ”Oh! My god! Deni! What are you doing?”

”Today is September 3rd, right?” Deni snapped back to reality and confirmed the date with the peasant beside him.

”Yes, yes, yes! That’s right, Deni, keep working, remember, you must always focus on your task, or the Master Knight will punish you!” The peasant said impatiently, but what happened next left him dumbfounded.

The axe dropped to the ground.

A peasant rushed towards Laine and the others who were discussing military matters.

”Holy Grail Knight! Holy Grail Knight! I have news I want to... Ah!” Deni, with an excited face, had just run halfway when a young Ranger Knight blocked his way, ”Peasant! What are you doing! Watch your status!”

With that said, the Ranger Knight slapped his face.

A sharp pain hit, causing Deni to feel dizzy and fall to the ground, he struggled to get up, with a swollen face he slurred, ”Uh... some news... I want to tell... Master Laine.”

”Bastard!” The Ranger Knight kicked Deni in the stomach, the young knight was outright furious, how dare this lowly brat try to speak to the Holy Grail Knight? Who did he think he was?

The peasant clutched his stomach, crying out in pain on the ground.

The military meeting halted, Laine and the others looked over, ”What’s going on?”

”Damn it! This damn brat! How dare he disturb the lords’ military meeting.” Another Ranger Knight rushed over, grabbing Deni by the neck, lifted him up, and pressed him near a burning woodpile, shouting, ”It’s nothing, Lord Laine, Lord Gabriel, it’s just a filthy peasant talking nonsense, I’ll make sure he has an accident! Let him meet with an accident all by himself!”

”Stop!”

”No worries, he’ll have an accident himself, it’s not us, it’s his own accident...” The Ranger Knight didn’t hear what Laine was saying, and he pressed Deni’s head toward the flames, wanting to teach this peasant a lesson.

”I said, stop!” Laine yelled angrily, ”Bring him over!”

”Y-yes!” The Ranger Knight was startled by the Holy Grail Knight’s angry shout, he quickly brought Deni over to Laine, ”My Baron?”

”Release him!” Laine continued, signaling everyone to make way, as he walked over to Deni, ”Lift your head and speak!”

The Ranger Knights finally released the peasant, with a swollen and bruised face, Deni knelt in front of Laine, ”Lord Baron!”

”What were you trying to say earlier?” Laine looked at the peasant before him. It was evident that he had something urgent to report.

”Tell me, what do you want to tell me?”

”It will rain tomorrow night, my Baron!”
