Warhammer Divine Throne

The Lion Ring Racecourse, as the largest racecourse in the Old World, is a magnificent and splendid prehistoric Elf structure that existed even before Emperor Charlemagne established his empire.

It is a massive stone oval building with rows of steps leading straight up to the roof tens of meters high. Inside the racecourse, colorful ribbons and various banners formed by the shields of the twelve duchies hang, making the entire racecourse look even more majestic than the Kulona Palace.

The racecourse was originally not open to ordinary people, but this naturally could not stop Laine and Surya and others. They easily convinced the guards to let them pass and entered the racecourse.

In the autumn, the racecourse was deserted. Laine, Surya, and Sylvia slowly walked into the racecourse, stepping on the solid muddy ground. Laine gently closed his eyes.

He seemed to feel the frenzy and glory of the knightly tournament, felt the audience’s roaring cheers filled with passion.

The neighing of warhorses, the panting of knights, the raised cavalry lances, stirring up billows of dust, and in the blink of an eye, at that very moment, the victory was already decided.

Endless glory will be awarded to the final victor. Under the gaze of the Lake God Witch Mogiana and King Richard, who can become the tournament champion using their martial skills and virtues?

Anyway, it has nothing to do with me anymore, Laine thought sarcastically. He was already over twenty-four years old, and the knightly tournament did not welcome Holy Grail Knights or Mission Knights (Expedition Knights). Their participation would be unfair.

”Laine, do you also enjoy the tournaments?” Surya walked to Laine’s side, the knight’s silver strapped high heels clicking as she walked. She crossed her arms, her expression as gentle as water: ”Next year, the tournament that occurs every four years will open again.”

”And you’ll participate, won’t you, Miss Surya, and Miss Sylvia? You all will participate?” Laine’s expression was also very gentle. He said somewhat regretfully, ”It’s a pity I can no longer participate...”

”I will participate next year. I will follow in my brother’s footsteps and fight to win, as this is our family’s mission.” The lady knight’s expression was very serious, and Laine even thought she was a bit too serious.

The Holy Grail Knight suddenly said, ”We’ve been wandering around for quite a while. Shall we find a place to sit for a bit?”

”Hmm!” The lady knight was a little surprised that Laine didn’t plan to look around more, but she didn’t oppose Laine’s suggestion. The outing was, after all, based on Laine’s interest: ”There’s a great bar nearby that Sylvia also likes, let’s go check it out together!”

”Surya!” Sylvia blushed slightly, seemingly blaming the lady knight for making decisions without consulting her.

About twenty minutes later, the three arrived at a bar called ”Blue Moon.” Naturally, Laine received the warmest welcome, with the bar owner personally hosting him.

”No matter where you go, Laine, you are very popular!” The lady knight sat across from him, looking at the Holy Grail Knight Badge on his chest with great admiration: ”One day, I too will embark on the Path of the Holy Grail, until I gain the Lady’s recognition.”

”You certainly will. Both Miss Surya and Miss Sylvia are excellent lady knights. I believe one day, you both will become glorious Holy Grail Knights. If... I mean, if you’re willing, I can offer some advice.” From any angle, Laine had a good impression of the lady knight before him, so he proactively offered.

”It’s an honor, I believe Laine you must be an excellent Knight Tutor.” Surya slightly adjusted her short skirt, her long, black-stockinged legs straight and slim under the table, prompting Laine to steal a few glances.

Laine’s favorite without a doubt was Veronica’s long, smooth, and delicate stocking-clad legs (because he had embraced them), but the lady knight’s long legs before him were not at all inferior, perhaps even surpassing them. Moreover, compared to dealing with witches (or female sorcerers) where every tone and every action required Laine to decipher carefully, he preferred the harmonious atmosphere of equal interaction with the lady knight.

Though engaging in a battle of wits with witches or female sorcerers was a pleasure in its own right.

Laine thought of this and suddenly smiled, recalling his journey with Teresa from Nord and the investigation with Veronica in Marinburg. Back then, he was still, in legal terms, a White Wolf Knight. He didn’t expect that merely a year later, his situation would have changed so dramatically...

”Laine?” As the Holy Grail Knight sank into thought, Surya suddenly interrupted his train of thoughts: ”What’s wrong? You seem a little distracted.”

”Daydreaming in front of a lady is not the behavior of a gentleman, Lord Laine.” The serious maid also reminded him softly.

”Sorry, I was thinking about something. Miss Surya, you taking me around the city, uh... would Mr. Francois mind?” Laine noticed the somewhat dangerous looks from the two lady knights and quickly explained.

”No worries, I told my father and got his consent. Unless something unexpected happens, the meeting with father and the others will last a while, so please prepare yourself mentally, Laine.” Surya tucked her dazzling golden hair behind her ear, smiling.
