Livestream Matchmaking: My Intel Infinitely Refreshes

Chapter 200: Chapter 198: 1-Point Handsome Man

Do women who ”run” abroad necessarily marry well? Not really.

But in the eyes of many women who go abroad, a 220-pound white man is somehow slimmer than a 176-pound man from back home. If you have to blame someone, blame Qin Shi Huang for not unifying the measurement systems of Europe and America.

This really has to do with their mindset.

Back home, these women feel like they’re the ones choosing the men. It doesn’t matter if that’s the reality or not; they dare to think that way.

Otherwise, you wouldn’t hear sayings like, ”If all else fails, I’ll just find a rich guy to marry.”

This is the only time rich men are considered to be good for something.

But once they go abroad, these women suddenly become the ones being chosen.

That’s why you see situations like the girl who just called in. She’s thoroughly a Huaxia native, yet she dresses up to look like an ABC, passing herself off as a foreign-born Chinese person.

Because she’s afraid that if she doesn’t, she’ll lose any chance of finding a partner.

Someone in the comments said she’s probably just afraid of being ostracized.

That might be a possibility in the Beautiful Country, but in a place like Sydney, where local Chinese make up 10% of the total population and you can see students from back home everywhere, is that really necessary?

If a girl just dresses normally, according to the beauty standards back home, people on the street might even think you’re the illegitimate daughter of some big shot. They might even look at you with more respect.

”So, if I’m abroad...” The girl pondered for a moment before saying, ”Brother Zhang, what kind of qualifications should I be looking for?”

”I honestly don’t know about that.”

”Are there matchmaking agencies abroad?” Zhang Zhe scratched his head. He was genuinely asking; this was a blind spot in his knowledge.

”There are some run by Chinese people, but they’re basically for newcomers who are trying to stay in the country by getting married.”

”Local guys and girls usually just use dating sites.”

”Oh, I get it.”

Some things click into place instantly. As soon as she said that, Zhang Zhe immediately understood the origin of sites like Jiayuan and Zhen’ai. It was probably similar to how QICQ came about.

”Then you should go on a dating site, too.”

”My expertise is in domestic relationships. Once you go abroad, to be honest, I don’t even know your local exchange rate. It’s hard for me to help you.”

”For someone in your situation, just follow one standard:

Among the men who can make your life abroad easier, pick the one with the best qualifications or the one you like the most.”

[What does that mean? Find a local foreigner?]

[Find a second-generation immigrant who’s settled abroad. You can help him manage his risk assets.]

[My advice is to ’run’ again. Run to the United Kingdom, the foreigners there are more authentic.]

[Sis, whatever you do, don’t settle!]

[Sis, whatever you do, don’t come back to China!]

”Okay, thank you, Brother Zhang.”

”You’re welcome. If you have any other ’Liu Zi’ around you who want to consult about marriage problems, you can send them my way.”

”I love talking with international students.”

Zhang Zhe said this with great sincerity, because he was genuinely curious. ’Just how many types of international students are there? It feels like every single one of them is different from a normal person.’

”Okay, Brother Zhang, don’t worry. I’ll advertise for you.”

”Then I’ll thank you in advance.”

”Sis, you can do it!”

Zhang Zhe cupped his fists. He had to keep up appearances.

But his politeness was useless. The comments in the stream were way too blunt, with insults like ”Hong Kong girl” and ”white-banana eater” popping up.

Zhang Zhe saw them and couldn’t help but sweat a little for the safety of his stream.

Perhaps for this very reason, the next girl who called in came out swinging:

”Brother Zhang, I’ve watched your stream, and I’ve seen what the guys in your chat say. I’m now certain that there isn’t a single good man out there.”

”Not a single one!”

[Where did this psycho come from?]

[You’re wrong. This girl is just saying what most gold diggers are thinking.]

[Nice, I love this free-for-all vibe.]

[Brother Zhang, can you let me on the mic? I’m gonna flame her to death.]

After listening, Zhang Zhe just frowned slightly and warned her, ”Ma’am, we’re on a live broadcast. Are you trying to get your account banned by saying things like that?”

”I’m telling the truth. If anyone sends me private messages to curse me out, it just proves I’m right. Haven’t you ever heard the saying ’a hit dog will holler’?”

”Fine, I admire your confidence.”

”But I think what you said is a little too absolute.”

”It’s not absolute. Not at all,” the woman said forcefully. ”There just isn’t a single good man out there!”

”Is that so?”

”But what about Cai Xukun, Wang Jun Kai, Wang Yuan, Xiao Zhan, and Wang Yibo? Oh, and let’s not forget Ma Jiaqi, the master of the incredible flank. I think they’re all pretty great.”

”Sis, do you still stand by your opinion?”

”Are you saying *they’re* no good?”

”...” The woman fell silent.

[He just invoked the gods to fight his battle. Masterful.]

[Go on, answer him! I’m gonna clip this video right now.]

[LMAO, the weakling doesn’t dare to speak now.]

[We must protect the best Kun Kun in the whole world!]

”If you ask me, you should stop this crazy act.”

”I’d call your situation a classic case of ’doesn’t understand the internet.’ Any random veteran from the forums could argue you into a brain-dead stupor.”

”If you don’t say anything, I’m kicking you out, okay?”

”Wait, Brother Zhang,” the girl changed her tune. ”I actually wanted to ask for marriage advice too...”

”No consultations for you. Goodbye.”

After saying that, Zhang Zhe kicked her off the mic and blocked her.

”You think there are no good men, yet you want to get married. Doesn’t that just mean you’re after their money?”

”This isn’t a startup center for gold diggers. If you’re crazy, don’t come here to have a meltdown.”

”Next!”

...

”Brother Zhang!” The man who got on the mic sounded extremely excited. ”I finally got through to you.”

”Didn’t you used to work at the Shencheng City branch of XX Group?”

”Whoa, whoa, whoa!”

”Stop it, you jerk!”

Zhang Zhe quickly cut him off. ”What’s going on? I treat you like a brother, and you’re doxxing me?”

”Hehe, I remembered you said you came back from Shencheng City. So I just happened to check the company’s enterprise WeChat, and I found out your account still hasn’t been removed.”

”Your profile picture is still there and everything. You look exactly the same.”

”Holy crap, it’s a small world.” Zhang Zhe couldn’t help but laugh.

His old employer was as unprofessional as ever. No one even bothered to remove former employees from the company’s WeChat groups.

If they had met anywhere else, he would have definitely chatted with this guy about the company and asked how their old colleagues were doing.

But since they met on the livestream, he had to stick to business.

”Brother, are you here for marriage advice?”

”Yes!”

”I sent you a photo in a private message. You’ll know why I’m single once you see it.”

”What’s wrong? Are you a bit hard on the eyes?”

Zhang Zhe guessed the guy was ugly.

He opened the private message and saw that he was right.

”Brother, you look like Cao Chali.”

”Like him in every sense of the word.”

”But your skin is really bad, too. In this photo, without any makeup, your face kind of looks like the surface of the moon.”

[I wanna see!]

[If he looks like Cao Chali, then it’s not just ugly, it’s sleazy.]

[Can’t do much if you’re ugly. Just focus on making money.]

”My face collected all the worst features from my dad and my mom. Then I got a lot of acne when I was in school, so... this is the result.”

”Brother Zhang, if you were to rate my looks, what score would you give me?”

”A 1,” Zhang Zhe said, shaking his head. ”And 0.5 of that is a ’friendship score’.”

”But last time, another streamer gave my looks a 5.”

”Oh, I know why,” Zhang Zhe told the guy. ”That’s because a while back, a Matchmaker gave a girl a 3, and the girl sued him.”

”After that, a lot of livestreaming Matchmakers started rating people at a 5 and up.”
