Livestream Matchmaking: My Intel Infinitely Refreshes

Chapter 173: Chapter 171: Innate Golden Canary Saint Body

[High school? Not that late, thanks.]

[Anyway, plenty of girls from small county towns start dating in middle school.]

[What’s up, bro? You got a thing for virgins? Haven’t you been in relationships before?]

[I bet this guy is into her.]

”Brother Zhang, I actually think we’re a pretty good match,” the guy explained. ”But I’m just afraid of being the sucker who cleans up the mess.”

”...” ’Zhang Zhe was impressed by the guy’s guts. He’d say anything. I feel like he’s going to drag me down with him and get us both blasted online.’

”Sir, I can answer that question.”

”I’ve had two relationships.” The woman’s tone was sincere, but only she knew the truth. ”Both were during college. They were my classmates, not anyone wealthy. We never lived together, so pregnancy is completely out of the question. There’s no mess for anyone to clean up.”

”Alright, then I think we can get to know each other.” 𝘧𝓇ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝘣𝓃ℴ

”I’ll be back in Shenghai next month.”

”That works,” the woman agreed happily.

”Hold on...” Zhang Zhe couldn’t take it anymore. ”Hey, you two, there’s still a Matchmaker here, you know. I don’t have a problem with you wanting to get to know each other, but I have a question.”

”Bro, didn’t you say you aren’t picky about looks?”

”I’m not,” the guy answered with a smile. ”But she’s attractive. I can’t exactly ask her to get uglier, can I?”

”Then be honest with me. Are you just looking for a short-term fling? This young woman’s circumstances are nowhere near the profile I built for you. You could easily go on plenty of other dates when you get back to the country.”

Zhang Zhe said very seriously, ”Honestly, with your family’s resources, you could have short-term flings forever and it wouldn’t be a problem. But don’t come to me to find them.”

”Don’t you go and ruin my stream’s reputation...”

”Brother Zhang, you’ve misunderstood.” Seeing how serious Zhang Zhe was, the guy quickly explained, ”I genuinely think she’s a great fit. If she can’t secure a government job, my family can help her get into a major foreign enterprise.”

”Like you said, I’ll have to go on dates when I get back to the country anyway. So why not start with her? Just think of it as a boost to your stats, Brother Zhang.”

”Fine.” Zhang Zhe nodded. That was a fair point.

”And you, sis? This guy’s family is ’only’ A8.5, and he’s currently unemployed. There’s still a bit of a gap between him and a true trust-fund baby.”

[So the host is trying to sabotage both of them, is he?]

[I knew it. The guy’s been studying in Germany, probably hasn’t had a decent meal in ages. Now he sees a pretty girl and he can’t even walk straight.]

[This girl could only be a mistress to an A9 trust-fund kid. She’d be better off marrying this guy and becoming a full-time housewife.]

[Sis, I’m so jealous. You really grabbed your chance.]

[This works? I feel like I’ve got a shot then, too. Host, can I get on the call?]

”I’m also just going on a date with him to see how it goes.” The woman’s tone was just as serious. ”I do want to start looking while I’m still young, because I know that once my career path is set, my dating pool will be pretty much fixed.”

”But sir, I will seriously consider what you said about getting a government job.”

”You’ll consider it, my ass. I wasn’t born yesterday. Never mind, I won’t hold you two up. Good luck with your date.”

Zhang Zhe gave a small laugh and didn’t say anything else, just waved them off the call.

This was all he could do. Whether the guy was just looking for a fling, or the woman was looking for a sugar daddy, was something they had to figure out for themselves.

As a Matchmaker, getting both parties to lay their cards on the table and pointing out their ulterior motives was the best he could do. You couldn’t ask for more.

Zhang Zhe glanced at the live comments. No one was questioning his methods; everyone was just talking about the woman.

[She hasn’t even graduated from college and she’s already given up on working hard. Kids these days really can’t handle any hardship.]

[This girl is actually pretty smart. She can’t rely on her parents at all. Her only asset is her youth.]

[Her best bet would have been to find someone in college, but I guess the campus is full of scumbags.]

[A girl like that has an Innate Golden Canary Saint Body.]

[I feel like my stats are just as good as hers. Does that mean I can marry an A9?]

Everyone was focused on the ”sis,” but only Zhang Zhe was worried. He wondered if the guy from before could hold out against the beautiful art student’s advances.

’He’d better be careful she doesn’t pounce on him the moment they meet. A month later, she could show up with a bun in the oven...’

”Alright, time for today’s second matchmaking session.”

”Let’s start with one of the women this time. The requirement is that you currently live in one of the four first-tier cities. That’ll give us a wider matching pool.”

”For the ladies in the third and fourth-tier cities, don’t worry. This stream only has about 3,000 viewers total. For all I know, you might be the only person in your entire city watching me.”

”Once this session is over, I’ll go back to helping you guys figure out your position in the dating market.”

”Girls who meet the criteria I just mentioned can go ahead and type ’1’ in the chat.”

”...”

”Alright, let’s get the user named ’Taobao’ on the line.”

The second lucky caller got on the line and said impatiently, ”Brother Zhang, I’m from Shenghai. I have a bachelor’s from a 985 university and a master’s from the University of Manchester. That cute guy who was studying in Germany... can you introduce me to him?”

”Oh, a Manchester University grad? Are you a United or a City fan?”

”United. What does that have to do with matchmaking?”

”Nothing. But I’m a City fan, so I don’t feel like introducing you.”

”Huh?” The woman sounded like her world was ending.

”Sis, it really has nothing to do with which team you support. I’m just suggesting you don’t try to compete with other women like this, especially when they’re in the middle of a date. It makes you look a little cheap.”

”Oh, I see.” The woman seemed to understand, but not completely. ”But his profile is a really good match for me.”

[Sis, have some self-respect!]

[There really are a lot of ’leftover women’ in Shenghai.]

[It’s the same in all the first-tier cities. It’s a huge headache for women to get married.]

[The more elite women there are in a place, the worse the dating market gets. The women are so picky that the men don’t even want to go on dates anymore.]

”Alright, how about this: first, tell me about your own situation. If it seems like a good fit, I can help you two get in touch.”

It’s common to be set up with multiple potential partners during the matchmaking process, which is why the theory that ”matchmaking is a competition against your own gender” exists.

But most potential matches are weeded out at light speed, either during the first meeting or within the first ten lines of conversation.

”Okay, okay, thank you, Brother Zhang.”

”Let me start with my situation.”

”I was born in ’98. I’m 167cm tall and weigh 55kg. I’m a little chubby, but definitely not obese. I don’t have any fat on my stomach; it’s the really flat kind.”

”You don’t have to be so specific, sis. I can already picture it,” Zhang Zhe said with a polite smile.

’Just from those first few sentences, it’s clear she has some body image issues. She’s probably been overweight before, or someone’s given her a hard time about it.’

”Oh, okay. I’ll keep it simple then.”

”In terms of looks, I’m a 3 out of 10. Just average.”

”I already mentioned my education. My current job is assistant to the general manager, with an annual income of around 250,000.”

”Compared to the last girl, my main advantage is my family’s backing. The assets in my name alone are at A8.2, mostly transferred from my grandparents. My parents’ assets are around A8.4.”

”Oh, and I’m an only child. My parents also have a very happy marriage.”

”And another thing! My genes are excellent. I haven’t even had a cold in eight years.”

Zhang Zhe nodded along as he listened. When she finished, he offered a serious analysis: ”Sis, your master’s is in the arts or humanities, isn’t it?”

”Not exactly. I studied business administration.”

”Close enough.” Zhang Zhe nodded. ’Someone in that major would have been on the liberal arts track in high school. She probably forgot everything she ever learned about biology.’ Still, it’s pretty interesting that she brought up genetics.

”Sis, not getting a cold could just mean your immune system is too weak. You should get a check-up when you have time. I’m not exaggerating when I say that a lot of people who never get sick for years end up with a major illness the one time they do.”

”Huh? It’s not because I have good genes?”

”No. Even if you have a strong immune system, it’s not necessarily tied to your genes. In the future, just keep that kind of talk for idle chat with your friends. Never bring it up seriously.”

Zhang Zhe told the woman very seriously:

”You studied business administration; genetics is for biology majors. The gap is too wide. If you just say whatever pops into your head, you’ll end up embarrassing yourself.”

”When you’re on a date, never reveal your flaws too early. Even if you’re going to show your weaknesses, always do it after the other person has understood your strengths.”
