Livestream Matchmaking: My Intel Infinitely Refreshes

Chapter 174: Chapter 172: Soul Compatibility

”Oh, I see.” The girl chuckled. ”Good thing I haven’t told anyone else. I was just secretly thinking about this on my own.”

”I even thought I was pretty awesome.”

”Never mind, I won’t talk about it anymore.”

”No, no, no. You’re talking to me right now, so you have to tell me.” Zhang Zhe gave a silent smile. ”Based on the criteria you’ve shared so far, you shouldn’t have any trouble getting married.”

”But the fact that you’re still single and have to resort to finding a partner online means there are some areas where you could improve.”

”If you tell me, I can help you analyze the reasons why.”

[She sounds so cheerful, like one of those ”funny girls.”]

[This girl seems great! You can’t just blame the woman because she can’t find a partner, can you? Why isn’t the streamer blaming the men?]

[She’s an assistant, so her job is probably crazy busy. It’s normal for her to not have time to look for a partner.]

[Am I the only one who thinks she’s a bit ditzy? Is she really a master’s graduate?]

The audience thought the girl had a great, cheerful personality, but in reality, anyone who has interacted with girls like her knows they are actually quite sensitive on the inside.

She isn’t truly happy. Her laughter is just a protective coloration she wears~

As for the reason, it was very simple:

This girl couldn’t identify her own strengths.

Her family’s wealth was an advantage, but it wasn’t money she had earned herself. Plus, it was likely in the form of fixed assets. After receiving a good education, it was difficult for her to feel confident about such things.

Who goes around comparing assets for fun?

In the end, after searching high and low, she found that her only remaining strong points were her high level of education and good genes, which was why she made a point of mentioning them.

”Have you ever been in a relationship before?”

”No.”

”Not even once.”

”That’s right, never.” The girl sounded very dejected.

”Sister, if you’ve never been in a relationship, you’ve never been in a relationship. What’s there to be upset about? This stream is full of brothers and sisters who’ve been single since birth.”

”What’s your current approach to finding a partner?”

”I want to find an N-type person with a similar educational and family background to mine,” the girl replied. ”I’m an N-type myself, and I often argue with my S-type friends, so I need to find my own kind.”

Zhang Zhe had been about to say the girl’s requirements were just stating the obvious.

Who doesn’t look for someone on their own level?

But then she suddenly threw in ”an N-type,” which could barely count as a real requirement.

N-types and S-types are classifications for people within the MBTI personality theory.

N-types are intuitive beings who enjoy discussing abstract things.

S-types, on the other hand, are more pragmatic, focusing on logic and details.

This girl was indeed quite abstract herself.

”Sister, in that case, you and that guy from Germany earlier wouldn’t be a good match. He’s definitely an S-type. Anyone who can complete their studies within the German education system couldn’t possibly be an N-type.”

”Do you get it? He’s a science major, and he doesn’t talk in abstractions.”

”I guess... that’s true.” The girl nodded. It seemed she was taking his words to heart.

”Then what direction should I be looking in?”

”It’s hard to say for now...” Zhang Zhe blinked, carefully considering how to help this girl narrow down her search.

[Medium-Value Intelligence]

[Your matchmaking target, Lin Wan, is the only daughter of a middle-class family. She has been well-protected by her family since childhood. Even though she has been in the workforce for two years, her level of socialization remains very low. Her head is full of bizarre ideas, and she has high expectations for emotional value. The Host’s personality leans toward the pragmatic, making you a poor match for a girl like this. Your daily interactions would likely lead to a great deal of conflict.]

The system’s intelligence could, in fact, be summed up in a single word: eccentric.

The ”eccentric” here wasn’t meant in a derogatory sense. It was more like a case of immaturity—the body of a twenty-something with the soul of a thirteen or fourteen-year-old.

Zhang Zhe had already sensed a bit of this.

But it didn’t seem as exaggerated as the system’s description.

”Sister, do you have any hobbies?”

”I like reading, and thinking.”

”Thinking about what?” Zhang Zhe was curious.

”Lately, I’ve been thinking about in what aspects one’s pursuit of life’s uniqueness should be reflected. Also, what’s the deal with humanity’s unconscious fears...”

[Sister, you really are abstract.]

[She seems like a silly girl who’s never been in a relationship.]

[I had a classmate just like this, a little bit loopy.]

[Is this really the intelligence level of someone from a top-tier university?]

Many people in the stream comments were mocking the girl, but Zhang Zhe knew she simply had a low level of socialization. Her mentality and way of thinking just hadn’t matured yet.

There were people like this of both genders.

It’s just that men in this situation usually become self-aware shut-ins. They feel no need to go out and find a partner, as they can get immense mental satisfaction from looking at 2D characters.

”Sister, there’s something you might need to digest,” Zhang Zhe said with a cough. ”These whimsical ideas of yours... your future husband most likely won’t be able to handle them.”

”The most he’ll be able to do is tolerate you. For him to completely understand you would be too difficult.”

”You want to find an N-type, and that’s fine. But even two N-types aren’t necessarily on the same wavelength.”

”For someone like you, the odds of finding a person who can completely understand you are about the same as the odds of discovering life on another planet.”

[Isn’t the streamer exaggerating?]

[That’s what it’s like looking for a soulmate. It’s easy to find someone to get by with, but hard to find someone who truly gets you.]

[She still seems like a kid who hasn’t grown up. But if her family is rich, she doesn’t really have to.]

”Does that mean I can’t look for an N-type?” the girl asked, confused.

”It’s more than that. You’ll probably have to think about the specifics carefully on your own time.”

”In any case, if you’re going to go on matchmaking dates, you have to understand that the people you meet are looking for someone to build a life with.”

”They probably won’t be that interested in your soul.”

”Finding a soulmate to spend the rest of your life with is something even regular dating can’t guarantee. You can’t expect marriage to deliver it.”

In reality, single men and women in this girl’s situation weren’t that uncommon. Many of them had figured it out long ago and simply decided not to get married.

She was one of those who had just graduated, came from a well-off family, had never been in a relationship, and still held some romantic ideals.

”So I shouldn’t go on matchmaking dates?” The girl grew more and more confused. ”Then how am I supposed to get married?”

”Have your family introduce you to someone.”

”With your situation, if it isn’t an introduction through your family, a guy would probably talk to you for a few minutes and end up either suspecting there’s something wrong with you, or suspecting there’s something wrong with himself.”

”Haha, Brother Zhang, you’re hilarious.” The girl giggled, her carefree aura practically overflowing from the screen.

”It is pretty funny,” Zhang Zhe couldn’t help but laugh as well.

If a pragmatic guy had spent money at an agency, and the Matchmaker set him up with this girl, the first thing he’d tell his parents upon returning home would surely be:

’Mom, I met a lunatic today, probably escaped from Wanping South Road...’

A guy with a bad temper would probably demand a refund from the Matchmaker.

”Sister, trust me. In your situation, don’t be in a rush to go to a matchmaking agency. That should be your absolute last resort.”

”Okay, I understand. I’ll have my parents introduce me to someone first then.”

The girl finally seemed to understand these last few words.

Zhang Zhe’s reasoning was simple. The girl was naive and could easily be deceived. It was safer to let her parents act as a safety net.

[Why aren’t you letting her go on a date?]

[Yeah, isn’t this for the show?]

[Did the streamer forget again?]

”I really didn’t forget this time, guys. For this girl’s ideal partner profile, besides needing to be her financial equal, the most important thing is that he understands her.”

Zhang Zhe looked at the stream comments and said irritably:

”I didn’t see a single person just now who said they understood her, but I saw a whole bunch of you laughing at her. People like that shouldn’t go and ruin her life just for some material benefit.”
