Livestream Matchmaking: My Intel Infinitely Refreshes

Chapter 171: Chapter 169: It’s No Fun if You Get Serious

”Brother Zhang, to be honest, before you connected with that girl from Wenzhou, I always thought a one-million-yuan bride price was no big deal, since the dowry would be the same.”

”But after hearing you speak, I had an epiphany.”

The young man laughed self-deprecatingly.

”I feel like if I gave her that bride price, she’d definitely spend it all herself. Her family is just an ordinary working-class family, so I’m the one who pays for most of her expenses.”

”She’s been wanting to buy a car for a while, but she doesn’t have the money.”

”But honestly, I could even tolerate that.”

”You can tolerate even that? Dude, are you a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle?” Zhang Zhe joked. ”Then again, you went to study in Germany, so it’s normal for you to have strong willpower.”

”So why couldn’t you tolerate it in the end?”

”She was just scheming way too much,” the young man complained. ”We were just talking about marriage, and she was already saying that after we get married, my family would have to pay for our children’s education too.”

”The money is a small issue. The main thing is raising the kids.”

”She knows my parents used to work for a German company, speak German, and have spent time here before. So she wants my parents to come over and help raise the children.”

”Brother, did she catch you selling your ass in Germany or something?” Zhang Zhe asked with a frown. ”It’s like you married a matriarch to be worshipped at home.”

[This is what it’s like studying abroad. The dating pool is small.]

[Dude, come back to China. You can find anyone you want back home.]

[There’s no need to give up a whole garden for a single blade of foxtail grass.]

[How did a girl like that even find you? She must have burned some amazing incense at her ancestral graves.]

[Get him on a call! Any girl in this stream is better than his ex-girlfriend.]

Zhang Zhe rarely saw all the women in the stream siding with the guy. He figured it was because many of them wanted to get on a call with him.

This guy’s situation sounded very genuine.

Today was a rare opportunity for many of the women in the stream to interact with a man from a family with A8.5 or higher assets.

”She meant that this way, she and I wouldn’t have any burdens in Germany,” the young man explained.

”Right, you’d have no burdens,” Zhang Zhe nodded. ”Because your parents would be shouldering all of them, while her own parents conveniently disappear.”

”People like that have zero willingness to contribute anything.”

”With her qualifications, God knows how much she’d have to suffer to stay in Germany on her own. She could have painlessly stayed abroad through her relationship with you, but instead, she turns around and tries to scheme against you?”

”That’s just completely absurd.”

”If I were your parents, the first thing I’d do is slap you awake.”

”And to be honest, with your family’s assets, you’d just be an ordinary person if you emigrated. An A8.5 who sells all their properties to go overseas would only have a net worth of about 5 million euros. You’d be better off coming back and being a landlord in Shenghai. That’s the life.”

Zhang Zhe didn’t know how great it was abroad, but he knew exactly how great it was to be a landlord in China.

He used to have a colleague whose family owned two buildings in an urban village in Shencheng City. The guy only worked for the ’life experience’ and would travel the world whenever he had free time. He never had a girlfriend who was less than a 6 out of 10.

The moderately wealthy can really, really have it good in China.

”Brother Zhang, my high school classmate told me the same thing,” the young man said with a sheepish laugh. ”He gets a new girlfriend every three months on average. I’m not envious, but I have to admit he seems to have a pretty carefree life.”

”If I were to come back, what kind of person could I expect to find?”

”Are you picky about looks?” Zhang Zhe asked. ”Physical appearance has a high premium in China. You’re used to seeing beautiful women in Europe, so you might feel there’s a gap.”

”I don’t really care about looks.”

”But I do want to find someone with a strong willingness to contribute, like you said, Brother Zhang.”

”Would you consider someone from out of town?” Zhang Zhe continued. ”High-quality local girls from Shenghai are hard to find.”

”That’s fine. My ex-girlfriend isn’t from Shenghai either.”

”Then let’s look for an only daughter from out of town with A8.2 assets, looks that are a 5 out of 10 or higher, a bachelor’s degree, around 25 years old, who is working in Shenghai and wants to obtain local residency.”

”If you get a better job after coming back, with an annual income heading towards 300,000 yuan or more, even a 6-out-of-10 beauty will be easy to find.”

”And don’t worry, the parents of a girl from a family like that will definitely be willing to sacrifice for their daughter. Of course, you shouldn’t take advantage of their mindset to scheme against them, either.”

”Alright,” the young man said, very satisfied with this dating profile. ”Are there any girls like that in the stream?”

If the young man hadn’t brought it up, Zhang Zhe would have almost forgotten this was a specially sponsored segment.

He quickly turned to the camera and asked, ”Are there any potential female guests in our stream who fit the profile I just described?”

[Like hell there is. Someone with A8.2 assets needs to come on a stream to find a date?]

[How about A8.2 in debt? I’ll have my dad go borrow money right now.]

[Cut it out, Brother Zhang. Just find him a normal person.]

[Can we ask if the ’gender’ requirement is set in stone? My parents can also help with the kids, we’d just have to adopt.]

[This dude isn’t even back in the country yet. Maybe we should talk about this after he returns.]

[If you can’t go abroad with him, he’s just an ordinary rich guy.]

”A minute ago, every single one of you wanted to get on the call. Why the change of heart now?”

”Let me make a clarification first: this is just a show.”

”And you, bro, remember this: if you really hit it off with someone, I can act as a middleman and help verify assets. But don’t go in with preconceived notions, and don’t blindly believe everything the other person says is true.”

”I understand, Brother Zhang. If there’s no one suitable, I’ll just get off the call.”

The young man was very sensible. His qualifications were indeed too good for online matchmaking, and an average girl knew she’d just be making a fool of herself if she came on.

But there was always someone bold.

”Wait a second,” Zhang Zhe stopped the young man. ”Someone’s joining the call.”

”Hello, can you hear me?”

”Hello Brother Zhang, hello male guest.” The girl who joined the call had a very gentle voice; you could tell she was the sweet type just from hearing her.

Zhang Zhe gave a simple reply and clicked on her profile to take a look.

’Forget it. I’m done playing.’

’It’s no fun if a real beauty actually shows up.’

Her photos showed she was a natural beauty.

A 5.5 out of 10, but could be a 6 with makeup.

Moreover, she had beautiful bone structure, bearing a striking resemblance to Bai Bing—the actress who starred alongside Hu Ge in *The Myth*.

”Hello, miss,” Zhang Zhe nodded. ”Bro, don’t say anything yet. Let me ask about her basic situation first.”

”Here, introduce yourself in this order.”

”I’m from Hedong, born in ’02, and I’m currently a senior in college in Shenghai.”

”I’m 170 cm tall and weigh 100 jin.”

”My looks are probably a 6 out of 10. I’ve been the prettiest girl in my class ever since I was little, and a lot of guys have pursued me. I posted a selfie online once, and a modeling agency contacted me, wanting to sign me...”

”Stop!” Zhang Zhe made a gesture. ”Sis, don’t focus so much on your appearance. It makes it seem like that’s your only advantage.”

”Why do rich people cultivate hobbies in their children, like music, antiques, racing, or rock climbing, instead of just having them flash their bank balance when they go out?”

”It’s because a single, one-dimensional advantage makes you seem flat and unappealing. When you run into others with the same strength, you lack a competitive edge.”

”I understand.” The woman was very receptive; she genuinely wanted to marry a rich man. ”I’m an art student, so I have many talents. I got into university as a fine arts specialty student, and I can also dance. I’m also quite good at broadcasting and hosting, and I’m currently the captain of the school’s hosting team.”

”Okay, an art student. Your family’s financial situation must be decent,” Zhang Zhe nodded. She sounded like she came from an A8 family, or at least a high-end A7. ”What are your family’s approximate assets?”

”My dad’s side is probably A7.5, and my mom’s side is probably around A8.16. Combined, it’s definitely over 20 million.”

”???” Zhang Zhe understood what the girl was saying. ”Well, damn. So your parents are divorced, and you’ve cobbled together an A8.2 for yourself, have you?”
