The Wealthy Tycoon's Game of Life

Chapter 1333: Chapter 516: Let’s Assume You Have Your Own Difficulties Too

The curtains block the light very well.

So well that Qu Peining couldn’t differentiate what time it was.

She was still curled up in Zhou Wang’s embrace, like an ostrich, choosing to bury her head in the darkness.

Her chin rested on Zhou Wang’s chest, separated by the thin fabric of his pajamas, allowing her to smell the scent emanating from him.

A scent akin to incense burning in a temple, while not described well, it was unexpectedly pleasant, intermingled with a hint of tobacco, inexplicably addictive.

Qu Peining had never been this close to another man before, so she was somewhat puzzled, wondering if every man smelled like this, or if it was only Zhou Wang?

Moments later, Qu Peining reached a conclusion.

It must be that only Zhou Wang smelled this way.

Although she hadn’t had much contact with other men, the brothers and cousins in her family always seemed to have a stench about them, her grandmother frequently ordered them to bathe due to disgust, yet they were indifferent, seemingly thinking body odor was a type of ”masculine scent”...

Yet Zhou Wang seemed quite ”masculine” too.

Qu Peining could clearly feel the shape of his abs beneath his pajamas, not exaggerated but appearing very firm.

If she weren’t afraid to act recklessly, Qu Peining would have wanted to reach out and touch them.

She thought she must be going insane.

At this moment, not only unclothed while embracing a man, she had actually started to explore the details on his body.

It must be because she had no strength...

Qu Peining could only use this excuse to persuade herself.

Or maybe she had become desensitized, after Zhou Wang had seen her most humiliating side, these things didn’t seem to matter anymore.

After all, how much worse could it get?

As time passed, after Zhou Wang fed her food and medication in that special way, Qu Peining gradually felt her limbs regaining strength, her mind not as cloudy.

At the same time, Zhou Wang’s breathing was becoming steady again, seemingly slipping into slumber once more.

Qu Peining tentatively moved her limbs, the man beside her was unresponsive, moments later, Qu Peining slowly retreated from Zhou Wang’s arms, then took a deep breath and sat up.

She pulled the nearby thin blanket to cover her finely proportioned figure, then quietly got out of bed, wandering around the room in the dim light, soon finding needle and thread in the medical kit, deftly using the silver needle to unlock the handcuffs.

Rubbing her sore wrists, Qu Peining picked up the clothes on the tray and put them on, after tidying up briefly, she returned to the bedside, staring complexly at the sleeping Zhou Wang.

She should despise him.

Not mentioning her intent upon coming to Magic City, even the disgraceful experiences of the last two days provided ample reason to act, even if not to vent, she could send this man to prison under justified charges.

With Zhou Wang defenseless in his current posture, the best course would be to directly target his carotid sinus, colloquially known as the ”sides of the neck,” a part known as the human ”pressure receptor,” requiring only modest force to induce total unconsciousness.

Or, there are more ruthless methods.

Such as directly striking his temple, in technical terms called the ”temporal region,” with a thinner temporal bone and concealed middle meningeal artery beneath, a blow here could disrupt intracranial vessels and possibly induce concussion, easily disabling Zhou Wang’s resistance...

Or the thyroid cartilage, axis, solar plexus...

Everywhere on Zhou Wang’s body presented fatal flaws, all within her reach.

Yet...

Why did she seem to resist these thoughts?

At this moment, Qu Peining couldn’t understand herself, just as she couldn’t fathom why she had awakened yet let Zhou Wang ”kiss and caress” her.

Zhou Wang’s hand was even recklessly pinching her...

Recalling the scene, Qu Peining’s gaze became blurry again, she instinctively raised a hand to feel her flushed cheek, subsequently biting her lip while looking at the man in bed.

Qu Peining raised her hand, only hesitating to lower it again.

After repeating several times, Qu Peining finally lowered her hand, quietly speaking as if convincing herself, ”Let’s just say... you have some burdens I don’t know about.”

Following this, Qu Peining no longer hesitated, grabbed several sips from the water jug, picked a few boxes of medication from the medical kit and pocketed them.

Then she turned to the master bedroom, found her phone and document holder, but upon leaving, Qu Peining glimpsed the bed’s faint trace, blushing uncontrollably.

Emotions of embarrassment and anger flashed in her eyes, she hurriedly stepped forward, snatched the entire bedsheet down, balled it up, tied it up, and strapped it to her back.

After finishing everything, Qu Peining arrived at the living room, dared not glance towards the guest bedroom fearing she’d act further, and swiftly opened the door, leaving the place destined to be etched in her memory forever.

Upon hearing the door shut from outside, Zhou Wang lying on the guest bedroom bed opened his eyes.

He just picked up the phone beside him, when Gao Xing’s call came through.
