The Wealthy Tycoon's Game of Life

Chapter 1313: Chapter 507: ”Cake

”Game?”

Jiang Qingkui’s heart beat slightly faster.

Influenced by the ”Secretary Work Rules” from study materials, she had always been the one playing various ”little games” with Zhou Wang, creating a bit of flirtation to provide emotional value to him.

Even today, Jiang Qingkui instinctively used such methods again, but Zhou Wang proposing to play a little game with her was unprecedented...

Based on past experiences and her understanding of Zhou Wang, Jiang Qingkui could guess that this game might not be quite proper, yet she couldn’t find any reason to refuse, so she nodded.

”Mr. Zhou... please go ahead.”

Zhou Wang noticed an interesting point: Jiang Qingkui had switched back to calling him this again, indicating she had once more adjusted her mindset briefly.

She seemed to always be like this—whenever she was about to lose control, she could pull herself back to reason with sheer willpower.

”This game is simple.”

Zhou Wang slowly spoke, ”But before we play this game, I need to ask you a question... do you think everything in this world has a ’price’?”

Jiang Qingkui hesitated for a moment, but after a brief thought, she nodded, ”Yes, I guess so.”

Zhou Wang seemed to have anticipated her answer and immediately laughed, ”Then there’s no problem. The little game I want to play with you is called ’Eating Cake.’

”Eating... cake?”

Jiang Qingkui frowned at Zhou Wang, clearly not comprehending the meaning.

Zhou Wang suddenly leaned closer to Jiang Qingkui, gazing into her eyes, but the words he spoke were incomprehensible to her.

”To eat cake, first you need a plate. Qingkui, how much do you think a plate costs?”

”Plate?”

”Is ten thousand enough? Or twenty thousand? Thirty thousand, fifty thousand...”

Still a bit at a loss, Jiang Qingkui didn’t speak right away, so Zhou Wang continued to raise the price on his own.

”Enough, that should be enough... how could a plate cost so much?”

Even though she didn’t know what Zhou Wang was up to, Jiang Qingkui quickly stopped him.

”Alright.”

Zhou Wang smiled, and then, catching her off guard, suddenly wrapped his arms around her waist and picked her up.

The delicate, cool sensation transferred from his palms; Zhou Wang resisted the urge to caress her smooth spine and merely carried her with quick strides to the bedroom.

Zhou Wang’s steps were fast; before Jiang Qingkui could even attempt to struggle, she had already been placed on the large bed in the center of the bedroom.

As Jiang Qingkui grew increasingly tense, Zhou Wang, however, made no further moves and simply sat down on the edge of the bed.

”Mr. Zhou, what exactly are you...”

Jiang Qingkui wanted to get up but was stopped by Zhou Wang.

”Shh, the game isn’t over yet. Lie down first.”

Lowering his body, Zhou Wang gestured for her to be patient, then got up and searched around the bedroom, picking something unknown from the curtains, before returning.

In Jiang Qingkui’s puzzled gaze, Zhou Wang, sitting beside her again, suddenly reached out a fingertip, slowly sliding it across her smooth forehead and pausing above her brow bone.

Zhou Wang admired Jiang Qingkui’s slightly spirited, cold, and beautiful face, then slowly spoke:

”And then, a bit of ’garnish,’ how much do you think this part should cost?”

”Garnish?”

Jiang Qingkui felt increasingly strange; seeing her at a loss for words, Zhou Wang spoke again on his own.

”Then let’s count it as another fifty thousand.”

As he spoke, Zhou Wang brought out his other hand, and only then did Jiang Qingkui realize he was clutching a piece of white, thin gauze-like material, seemingly a curtain tieback.

In Jiang Qingkui’s astonishment, Zhou Wang had already cradled her head in one hand and covered her eyes with the tieback.

”Mr. Zhou, you... what exactly are you doing?”

Her vision suddenly became blurry, and Jiang Qingkui instinctively reached out to pull at the tieback, but Zhou Wang held down her hands.

He leaned down, his breath suddenly close enough to make Jiang Qingkui’s ears tingle, ”Next, we can start eating the cake... Kui, how much would the strawberry on the cake cost?”

”I...”

Sensing vaguely what was happening, Jiang Qingkui was about to speak, but the man acting as the ”diner” seemed unable to hold back any longer.

The moonlight, reflecting the city’s lights, poured in through the floor-to-ceiling windows. On the pristine 2.8-meter bed, Jiang Qingkui, in a long black evening gown, lay flat, her breathing rapid.

The undulating, high arcs wrapped in a shallow V swayed attractively, occasionally revealing a hint of tender white, highlighting breathtaking beauty. The end of her dress had already rolled up to her knees, her slender legs, wrapped in shiny black stockings, curling restlessly...

Zhou Wang’s gaze lingered on her face, which was masked by the white gauze, finally fixing on her slightly parted lips.

Jiang Qingkui’s lips were fuller than those of other women Zhou Wang had encountered.

Perhaps for this reason, whenever she needed makeup, she always preferred brighter lip gloss to cover her ”flaws.”

The glossy bold lipstick adorning her lips at this moment turned them into the most vivid color in the darkness of the night.

Her white teeth caught glints of light as her red lips moved, creating trails of gleaming moisture between openings, displaying Jiang Qingkui’s inner unease, yet also making Zhou Wang involuntarily swallow.

Just as Jiang Qingkui was about to say something, Zhou Wang had already lowered his head, greedily capturing what seemed like a dew-kissed, moist strawberry.
