The Wealthy Tycoon's Game of Life

Chapter 595: Chapter 245 The Legend of ”Ming City’s Batman” (10,000 words for monthly pass)_5

”How’s it going, Lawyer Gao? Any difficulties?”

”The documents from headquarters were so thorough, complete with background checks, appraisals, credit reports, and shareholder info. With all this, if I said there were any difficulties, I’d be ruining my own credibility.”

Gao Zhenbang laughed heartily, ”I’ve already halted other non-urgent tasks. All the lawyers at the firm are on this, and if all goes well, we might even finalize the contract this afternoon...”

After listening to Gao Zhenbang’s explanation, Zhou Wang finally realized why the Lishui Yunquan Hotel was deemed an ’instant acquisition.’

It turned out that the situation was similar to Dianwang Club. The management company behind the hotel also faced an operational crisis. For various reasons, several major shareholders were eager to sell their stocks, so the acquisition wasn’t difficult.

Zhou Wang casually asked another question and learned from Gao Zhenbang that the hotel’s valuation, according to the headquarters’ report, was slightly over 98 million, just a bit shy of 100 million, primarily because of the management company’s existing debt.

Excluding liabilities, this five-star hotel, with paid-up capital of 50 million, should have a real valuation of over 140 million. But since Zhou Wang had to absorb the previous debts upon acquisition, the purchase price dropped.

According to potential post-acquisition plans, Gao Zhenbang planned to negotiate with the bank for a repayment term of ten to fifteen years for that nearly 50-million debt.

”...Based on the headquarters’ assessment, Lishui Yunquan’s profitability ranks above average among five-star hotels. With proper management, annual revenue could be between 100 and 230 million, with profits ranging from 9 to 17 million. In the long run, this is a worthwhile investment.”

Gao Zhenbang explained to Zhou Wang while flipping through the documents.

”Alright, Lawyer Gao, I’ll be waiting for your good news. I’ll give everyone a big bonus when the time comes.”

Thanks to his premonition, Zhou Wang wasn’t worried about the acquisition failing, although he still felt the need to say a few pleasantries.

”Haha, Mr. Zhou, no need for bonuses. We have our own incentive system. You’ve already paid the headquarters a hefty annual fee, so that’s enough for us. But do come by for a home-cooked meal sometime; my partner has been mentioning you for ages...”

”Absolutely, absolutely!”

After finishing the call with Gao Zhenbang, Zhou Wang extinguished his cigarette and returned to the dining table.

Since the call took quite a while, Su Yajing couldn’t help but ask, ”Brother, do you have an urgent matter to deal with?”

”Nothing much, just buying something. I’ve left it to the lawyer. It won’t affect me spending the day with you.”

Zhou Wang said with a smile.

”Oh, what kind of purchase requires a lawyer? That’s a bit over the top.”

Next to him, Chen Hao and Zhang Ruifeng both looked up, with Chen Hao exaggeratingly exclaiming.

”This hotel.”

Zhou Wang smiled, answering honestly.

”Huh?”

At first, including Su Yajing, they were a bit confused, not really catching Zhou Wang’s meaning. After all, no one would associate ’buying something’ with ’buying a hotel.’

Until Su Yajing realized, she exclaimed excitedly and hugged Zhou Wang’s arm, ”Brother, are you saying you’re buying this Lishui Yunquan Hotel?”

Hearing this, not just those at the table, even the nearby waitstaff couldn’t help but turn their heads...

What on earth!

Who’s buying what?

After a stunned pause, Chen Hao and Zhang Ruifeng glanced at each other and burst out laughing.

”Dude, you’re hilarious, buying this hotel, hahaha...”

”No, brother, do you know how much a five-star hotel costs?”

Zhang Ruifeng couldn’t hold it in and bluntly shared his real thoughts, ”If you want to show off, not like this. You might as well say you’re a shareholder of this hotel, which might be a bit more believable...”

”Ha!”

At this point, Li Danni finally caught on to what they were talking about and couldn’t help but laugh. Upon realizing it, she quickly apologized to both Su Yajing and Zhou Wang.

”Sorry, Ranran, but your boyfriend joking so earnestly is indeed amusing...”

Initially, Li Danni didn’t think Zhou Wang was boasting when he mentioned delegating a lawyer to handle things, as she felt he exuded a mature and stable vibe despite his young age.

But upon hearing that he was buying the hotel, she could only assume Zhou Wang was joking...

Even if it was a bit of an awkward joke.

”I know, it’s just 100 million, not bad.”

Zhou Wang knew why they laughed, but he didn’t mind, just nodded.

”100 million is ’not bad’?”

Zhang Ruifeng said with an exaggerated expression, amused, ”Dude, I used to think those stories on the internet were just tales. I didn’t expect to meet someone like you in real life!”

”If Brother said he would buy it, he definitely will. 100 million isn’t much for him!”

Zhou Wang wouldn’t get upset, but Su Yajing, feeling unjust, couldn’t help but speak up.

Seeing Su Yajing’s earnest expression, Li Danni shook her head. Well, she had thought this junior finally figured things out, but it seemed she was merely CPUed...

Li Danni couldn’t help but worry. If Su Yajing believed such ridiculous claims, how many times had she been deceived by Zhou Wang before?

In addition, she couldn’t resist wanting to take a closer look at Su Yajing’s Hermes bag to see if it was a knockoff.
