The Wealthy Tycoon's Game of Life

Chapter 576: Chapter 239: A Great Scholar Defends the Scriptures for Me_3

”How much?”

Zhou Wang, who hadn’t reacted much all along, looked up in astonishment.

”One thousand.”

”...”

Zhou Wang opened his mouth but didn’t know what to say for a moment.

”Don’t overestimate the wisdom of students who haven’t yet graduated. Their lack of experience makes it hard for them to think deeper. He probably thinks just asking a question is worth it, and one thousand RMB is a lot to him, right...” Wang Qiaobin laughed sarcastically.

Zhou Wang thought it made sense. If it were him during his toughest times, he would also find this quite a bargain... no, he might have settled for five hundred.

Since the academic affairs office was involved, that guy was probably in trouble, and it was uncertain if he could graduate smoothly.

Shaking his head, Zhou Wang, who was very ”respectful of others’ fates,” didn’t dwell on it much. Instead, he asked, ”What about Lu Chen?”

”Since Lu Chen has already graduated, the school couldn’t bother him much. They just revoked his ’Outstanding Graduate’ title... Additionally, Director Wang asked me to apologize to you,” Jiang Qingkui added finally.

As for why Director Wang apologized, Zhou Wang naturally understood.

”Revoking the ’Outstanding Graduate’ title should annoy Lu Chen enough. He cares more about these things than you do...” Wang Qiaobin said with a smile and then reminded, ”Brother Dog, you should watch out. Lu Chen is really petty. Who knows if he’ll cause more trouble later.”

Upon hearing this, Jiang Qingkui proactively said, ”I’ll get his file from Director Wang in a bit...”

Zhou Wang neither confirmed nor denied, not taking someone like Lu Chen to heart. He just tapped his fingers on the certificate on the table, lost in thought.

The lounge quieted down, with neither Jiang Qingkui nor Wang Qiaobin speaking to avoid disturbing Zhou Wang’s thoughts.

A moment later, Zhou Wang looked up, ”Qingkui, go out and check if President Bai has finished his call. If so, invite him in.”

Jiang Qingkui responded and left. Soon, Bai Lisheng entered, and Zhou Wang stood to greet him, and they sat down again.

Just as Wang Qiaobin was about to stand, Zhou Wang waved him off, and Wang got the hint, not deliberately avoiding the conversation.

”President Bai, I want to make a donation to my alma mater.”

Zhou Wang got straight to the point.

After being stunned for a moment, Bai Lisheng beamed with joy. After all his efforts and hard work, wasn’t he waiting for Zhou Wang to say this?

Although judging by Zhou Wang’s lavish donation of Ten Million to his high school alma mater, it was unlikely he would ignore his university alma mater. But it was only at this moment that Bai Lisheng could truly be at ease.

”Mr. Zhou’s willingness to give back to the alma mater after achieving success is something we are, of course, very welcome to. Cai University currently has various public funds like the Development Fund, Talent Support Fund, Student Development Fund, Special Scholarship Fund, etc. Does Mr. Zhou have any particular preference?”

”I’ll cooperate fully based on the alma mater’s needs,” Zhou Wang replied with a smile.

”And the amount of the donation...” Bai Lisheng asked tentatively.

He shouldn’t have been this eager, but Secretary Chen, who had been absent, was also waiting for a confirmation.

”My initial plan is to donate twenty million RMB to Cai University.”

”Twenty million?”

Upon hearing this, Bai Lisheng couldn’t hide his delight.

Secretary and the Principal set a goal of at least ten million for him...

Ten million had already matched Cai University’s highest alumni donation in history. Twenty million far surpassed expectations.

At the same time, Bai Lisheng breathed a sigh of relief. It seemed the dinner that Secretary Chen was waiting for could proceed smoothly.

Just as he was about to discreetly send a WeChat message to Ni Hong, asking her to notify Secretary Chen, Zhou Wang continued, ”If twenty million isn’t enough, I can add another ten million...”

”Huh?”

Even with Bai Lisheng’s composure, his hand trembled, nearly dropping his phone.

Wang Qiaobin was even a bit shaken. Knowing Brother Dog was really wealthy, but witnessing such casual ”thirty million” grandeur in person felt entirely different...

Once he confirmed he hadn’t misheard, Bai Lisheng sat up straight, brimming with surprise and delight, ”Mr. Zhou, are you joking?”

”Of course, I wouldn’t joke about this. But if the donation reaches thirty million, I’d like a small addendum to my offer. Can the alma mater meet my request?”

”May I ask what kind of request Mr. Zhou has?”

Bai Lisheng asked with some caution.

”I plan to develop a game soon and might need some talent and technical support. I know Cai University’s Information College and School of Software Engineering are quite strong, so I wanted to see if there could be some collaboration in that regard. Of course, any appropriate convenience offered by the alma mater would be appreciated. Everything else will still be done by the book...” Zhou Wang stated his needs with a smile.

Since putting ”game development” on the agenda, Zhou Wang had been considering this.

In game development, talent is indisputably the most important. Although small games don’t demand much, collaborating with universities is undoubtedly the most cost-effective way of saving manpower.

”If it’s just this, there shouldn’t be any problem. Cai University has many commercially collaborative projects. The operational model is quite mature... How about this, I’ll invite the deans of both the Information College and the School of Software Engineering, along with relevant personnel, to meet Mr. Zhou. You can get to know them first, then address any needs you have.”
