The Wealthy Tycoon's Game of Life

Chapter 575: Chapter 239: A Great Scholar Defends the Scriptures for Me_2

Yunan Province’s Top Ten Outstanding Youth?

Zhou Wang paused slightly, ”I really haven’t paid attention to that, though I’ve seen some news before...”

”Unlike local selections, the provincial-level process for the Top Ten Outstanding Youth is much more rigorous. Initially, it was held every two years, but due to various reasons, the interval has been extended. However, we’ve received a joint recommendation form from 12 provincial institutions, and the new round of selection has already started this year...”

After Principal Bai briefly introduced the standards and significance of this honor, Zhou Wang, surprised, shook his head and said, ”I’m afraid I’m not quite up to that level yet?”

Although Zhou Wang was a standout, he still had self-awareness. Such selections, which primarily aim to promote positive images and contribute to moral construction, inherently had a high threshold.

”Mr. Zhou’s achievements have already surpassed 90% of his peers. What might be relatively lacking is some form of recognition from various sectors of society. Cai University has some degree of recommending power, which can provide Mr. Zhou with some support.”

Bai Lisheng spoke tactfully, but Zhou Wang roughly understood his meaning.

Recognition from Cai University’s authorities must be an important component of societal recognition.

...

Strolling along Ginkgo Path from the old campus to Shilin Path, the group arrived at an inconspicuous building near the dining hall.

This was the internal reception area of Cai University, also known as the ”small dining hall.”

”Mr. Zhou, please rest here for a moment. I’ll call Secretary Chen to confirm his arrival time.”

Leading Zhou Wang to a simply decorated but comfortably warm lounge, Bai Lisheng said with a smile before turning away.

The others also did not continue to disturb Zhou Wang. At this moment, in the lounge, only Zhou Wang, Jiang Qingkui, and Wang Qiaobin remained.

After Zhou Wang introduced them, Wang Qiaobin greeted Jiang Qingkui somewhat awkwardly.

In fact, he had already heard of Zhou Wang’s personal secretary. After all, Young Master Zhang and others had discussed her in the group chat, and when he finally saw her in person, he realized that Young Master Zhang and the others were still too conservative in their praises...

Was ”pretty” enough to describe her?

Importantly, Jiang Qingkui not only had strikingly beautiful features that aligned with Huaxia’s aesthetic, but her demeanor was also exceptionally composed and aloof. Yet, she wore a form-fitting Hermes black business suit that accentuated her figure, igniting a desire to conquer in any man who saw her.

However, while Wang Qiaobin was envious, he wasn’t overly envious.

Because he knew that he wouldn’t be able to handle a woman like her. He had heard she was the top scorer in her college entrance exams, a PhD from overseas, so her IQ must be terrifyingly high. He couldn’t handle it... he might just be outmatched.

Deep down, like most traditional Huaxia men, Wang Qiaobin still preferred the gentle and dependent type.

”Hello, B Brother.”

Jiang Qingkui gave a reserved smile, greeting Wang Qiaobin as Zhou Wang did, and then walked over to Zhou Wang, handing him a hefty, large file folder.

”Boss, this was handed to me by Director Wang after he returned. Look at it...”

Zhou Wang wasn’t too surprised, he just accepted the folder, and without avoiding Wang Qiaobin, he untied the string and poured the contents out onto the table.

First was a certificate with a dark green cover, still smelling of fresh ink. Zhou Wang opened it, and the top page of the certificate bore Cai University’s motto, ”Self-respect, Knowledge, Justice, Action,” while the lower page read:

”Zhou Wang, male... has completed the undergraduate study plan in the Law program at Caiyun University and has graduated... awarded the Bachelor of Laws degree.”

Zhou Wang rubbed the uneven surface of the certificate, feeling slightly emotional inside.

Now, he no longer needed this certificate to prove anything. But in his youthful heart, not obtaining this degree felt like his life was half-collapsed...

In hindsight, it’s quite amusing. From Zhou Wang’s current perspective, looking back, that situation wasn’t completely without hope for resolution. The delayed imposition of the school’s disciplinary action was evidence of that.

Back then, he was too naïve, not realizing that rules could be flexible and that there was humanity beyond the law. He just foolishly let his future be ruined.

These thoughts flashed briefly, but Zhou Wang’s expression remained calm. He put the degree certificate down and picked up the second item, another certificate of honor:

”Awarded to Zhou Wang the title of ’School-Level Outstanding Graduate’... for encouragement.”

Below were two printed recommendation letters, one recommending Zhou Wang to municipal authorities as a ’City-Level Outstanding Graduate,’ and the other recommending him as a ’Provincial-Level Outstanding Graduate.’

These two levels of honorary titles weren’t decided by Cai University, but Cai University’s recommendation was fundamental.

Since the university had given him the recommendation letters, they must have had a fair degree of confidence.

Besides these, there was another recommendation letter in the folder, uncertain if it was personally written by the principal, but at least it was signed with the principal’s name. The content was to recommend Zhou Wang for the next year’s ”Ming City’s Top Ten Outstanding Youth” selection.

Zhou Wang understood that these were part of the ”support” Bai Lisheng had mentioned.

At this moment, seeing Zhou Wang had finished looking through the contents of the folder, Jiang Qingkui softly spoke: ”Director Wang asked me to pass on to you that the senior student who intentionally disrupted the venue and tried to discredit you was instructed by another graduate, Lu Chen, who received a thousand yuan from him...”
