Necromancer: I Am A Disaster

Dark clouds surged forward at astonishing speed, no less than a thousand meters per second.

In the blink of an eye, they were already upon Lin Moyu and suddenly burst apart.

They weren’t clouds at all, but a flock of pitch-black avian monsters.

Once scattered, they blotted out the sky, their numbers beyond counting.

Lin Moyu paid them little mind. He could slaughter them whenever he wished, but right now, finding the Burial Ground of Gods took priority.

His Deathwings fluttered, soul force flowing through them as his figure vanished without a trace.

The flock screeched and circled through the air, unable to lock onto him.

After a moment, they gave up, regrouped into massive dark clouds, and swept off into the distance.

…

Deathwings had severed the soul lock, allowing Lin Moyu to instantly move tens of thousands of meters away.

In less than a day within the deep layer, he had already encountered a series of bizarre events.

This place truly lived up to its reputation as a land full of peril.

The monsters he had met so far possessed the power to wipe out level 96 and above God-level powerhouses.

Without half-step Transcendent God-level strength, one would find it extremely difficult to move forward here.

The denser the element in the deep layer, the greater the danger.

God-level experts deliberately traveled through regions with thinner elements, as those areas were relatively safer.

Hovering a thousand meters above the ground, Lin Moyu sorted through the information transmitted back by his Elemental Giants.

The resurrected Elemental Giants had already traversed vast stretches of the deep layer, disturbing numerous dormant monsters along the way.

Some Elemental Giants had been intercepted, surrounded, and killed once again.

Others were being relentlessly hunted by hordes of monsters.

Yet others were fortunate and avoided attacks altogether.

Through the information returned by the Elemental Giants, Lin Moyu gradually uncovered the hidden landscape of the deep layer.

Layers of mist were slowly peeled away, and a rough map began to form in his mind.

At the same time, the true terror of this place became increasingly clear.

One Elemental Giant crossed a region where the ground suddenly turned soft, swallowing it whole and instantly severing their connection.

Another passed near a terrifying dormant existence. Disturbed by the noise, the creature released a dissatisfied grunt, and the level 97 Elemental Giant collapsed on the spot.

A single grunt was enough to kill the level 97 Elemental Giant instantly.

That creature had clearly surpassed half-step Transcendent God-level. It was most likely a true Transcendent God-level existence.

Lin Moyu wasn’t afraid of such beings, but he had no intention of provoking them either.

They might not be able to easily kill him, yet defeating them himself would be equally difficult.

He carefully memorized every danger zone.

Then suddenly, he spotted a familiar figure.

“No way!”

His Deathwings flared. Lin Moyu vanished and crossed more than a hundred thousand meters in an instant before reappearing high in the air.

Even after arriving, his wings continued to flap as soul force remained ready to activate at any moment. If danger appeared, he would flee immediately.

Not far away stood a towering figure.

Though all traces of life had faded, the figure still remained upright like an unyielding pine tree, both hands resting upon a greataxe.

“The Dragon Emperor.” Lin Moyu uttered softly.

The Dragon Emperor had actually died here.

He had entered the deep layer in search of a Dragon Bead, hoping to earn the qualification to enter the greater world.

With his strength, he should have had a real chance.

Yet now, he stood dead in this forsaken place, destined to remain here forever alongside his Dragon Greataxe.

Lin Moyu carefully observed the corpse. There were no visible wounds.

The Dragon Emperor had been incredibly powerful. Even after death, his body showed no signs of decay.

Yet the expression frozen in his eyes was one of unmistakable terror.

Had he witnessed something horrifying before his death? Or was it merely fear in the face of death?

Lin Moyu expanded his soul force, scanning everything within a thousand-meter radius.

Yet he sensed no immediate danger.

That only made the situation stranger.

No wounds. No signs of battle. Yet dead.

Lin Moyu raised a finger, and a flicker of flame ignited at his fingertip.

Skill: Raise Dead.

Since speculation was useless, he would simply extract the truth directly from the Dragon Emperor himself.

Undeath flames erupted across the Dragon Emperor’s body. Under the power of the law of undeath, the soul that had dissipated flickered back into existence.

Life returned to the Dragon Emperor’s hollow eyes.

The moment he resurrected, he instinctively turned toward Lin Moyu and cried out, “Master!”

He retained every memory from life and knew Lin Moyu had been its greatest enemy, the one he hated above all others.

Yet under the influence of the law of undeath, those emotions had been erased, replaced by absolute reverence.

To the Dragon Emperor, Lin Moyu was now everything—his master, his world.

He would obey any command without hesitation.

Even if ordered to die, he would comply without a second thought.

Lin Moyu gave a slight nod, “Tell me how you died.”

It was a grim question to ask any living being, let alone one that had already perished.

The Dragon Emperor searched through his memories, “I entered a graveyard where countless powerful beings were buried. There, I encountered a sword-wielding human. He hunted me down. He was far stronger than I was, so I fled… but in the end, I couldn’t escape.”

Lin Moyu frowned, “A graveyard? A sword-wielding human?”

The Dragon Emperor paused before answering, “He likely wasn’t alive… more like a soul remnant.”

Lin Moyu’s eyes narrowed, “You said he was human. Are you certain?”

“I am.”

“And you’re sure he was only a soul remnant?”

“Yes. But an extremely powerful one.”

Excitement stirred within Lin Moyu.

He had never expected to discover clues about the Burial Ground of Gods in this way.

Though he couldn’t be completely certain, the possibility was very high.

Signs of human activity in the deep layer were exceedingly rare, and humans of such terrifying strength existed only in ancient times.

The Dragon Emperor himself was a half-step Transcendent God-level powerhouse.

For a mere soul remnant to kill him, it had to possess at least Transcendent God-level strength, and not an ordinary one at that.

Only one figure came to Lin Moyu’s mind: Sword Venerable.

The legendary existence who could split mountains with a single strike and slay a Transcendent God 3rd tier Zerg.

Even if only a soul remnant remained after death, he would still stand at the top.

Killing the Dragon Emperor would have been possible for him.

“Lead the way.” Lin Moyu ordered.

Without hesitation, the Dragon Emperor flew forward, Lin Moyu following close behind.

Back then, the Dragon Emperor had managed to flee for a time from the sword-wielding human, though his struggle had ultimately been futile.

Half an hour later, they arrived before a towering mountain.

Its cliffs were impossibly sheer, as though carved cleanly by a blade. The mountain pierced the heavens like a spear.

Even with Lin Moyu’s enhanced vision, the summit remained hidden beyond the clouds.

It had to stand at least one hundred thousand meters tall.

A narrow trail wound around the mountainside. Following it would lead them to the graveyard the Dragon Emperor had mentioned.

As they advanced along the path, the sky gradually darkened, and the air itself grew oppressive.

Lin Moyu could sense numerous laws intertwining chaotically.

When they finally rounded the mountain, the true face of the graveyard revealed itself.

Rows upon rows of tombstones stretched into the distance, each shrouded in dense mist that concealed the inscriptions carved upon them.

The Dragon Emperor said, “It was there that I encountered the sword-wielding human.”

Lin Moyu nodded as he carefully sensed the surroundings.

Soul aura saturated the area, so dense it was almost tangible. Yet like the laws themselves, it was chaotic.

Human souls were not the only ones gathered here; souls from various races appeared to be tangled together within the mist.

“The Burial Ground of Gods… the final battlefield.” Lin Moyu murmured softly before stepping forward into the graveyard.
