Necromancer: I Am A Disaster

Six law art stars were linked together, attracting and intertwining with one another.

Each followed its own orbit, forming an extremely mysterious pattern.

At their center, a gray gaseous mass was taking shape.

Just like the bone-type four-star law art system. Once multiple-star law art systems reached three stars, they would begin to generate a gray gaseous mass containing law aura.

This gray mass was a manifestation of law; if observed carefully, one would see that the orbits of the law art stars actually revolved around it.

Antares murmured, “A six-star law art.”

There was clear shock in his tone, but he quickly corrected himself, “Not bad. Six-star law arts are relatively rare, but in the greater world, there are many experts. Six-star law arts aren’t exactly uncommon.”

Lin Moyu waved his hand, “Don’t worry, I won’t get arrogant.”

If he still couldn’t understand Antares’s intentions by now, he would truly be a lost cause.

The newly added law art star completed the six-star law art system. After adjusting its orbit, it quickly stabilized.

Generally speaking, all six stars revolved around the gray mass at the center.

At the same time, they attracted one another, maintaining their own trajectories.

It was precisely because of this gray mass at the center that everything remained in perfect balance, without the slightest hint of disorder.

[Summon Lich General (100% fusion rate): summons a Lich General. Usually dormant within the star, it is connected to the Undeath World and can descend into reality when needed. The Lich General can command and lead an undead legion, while also participating in combat itself. The number of undead troops it can command and its combat power are determined by the master’s soul rank.]

The Lich General had undergone a tremendous transformation. It was no longer merely a commander and support unit but now possessed real combat power. As for how strong it was, that would need to be tested.

The soul world trembled once again. The six stars of the six-star law art system were vibrating.

They emitted an even stronger undeath aura, making the manifestation of law more distinct.

At that moment, Antares’s expression turned serious.

Lin Moyu sensed something was wrong, “Is there a problem?”

Antares said in a deep voice, “I feel like your soul world is trying to connect to another world. And the channel for that connection is right there and there.”

He pointed toward the summon-type six-star law art system and the bone-type four-star law art system.

More precisely, toward the centers where the gray masses representing the manifestation of law were located.

Lin Moyu could only sense the law aura; he couldn’t perceive deeper layers like Antares could.

However, the law art description had mentioned that the law art stars were connected to the Undeath World.

He had long suspected that the Undead World might actually exist.

Antares continued, “Your class is too unique. I can’t say whether this is a good thing or a bad thing.”

Lin Moyu remained calm, “Whether it’s fortune or misfortune, it can’t be avoided. I’ll just deal with it as it comes. Anyway, I’ve done everything I need to for now. Tell me how I should level up next.”

Antares said, “At level 86, you can still gain soul force and level up by killing monsters, but that’s the lowest-tier method.”

“You’ve read enough records and should know that most human class users at level 86 and above no longer enter dungeons and hunt monsters. Instead, they choose closed-door cultivation.”

Lin Moyu nodded, “That’s true, but most people only switch to closed-door cultivation after level 88.”

Antares said, “Level 88 is already a bit late. Level 86 is actually the optimal point.”

“But what you need to do is different from them.

“They focus on comprehending their souls, improving their control over soul force in preparation for reaching God-level.”

“At the same time, they sense the skill space and move skill star cores to transform them into law arts.”

“But you are different...”

Antares then explained in detail what Lin Moyu needed to do next.

While others had to transport skill star cores, Lin Moyu didn’t need to. He had nearly emptied his skill space.

The path he walked was completely different from everyone else’s.

What he needed to do next was begin comprehending law.

Ordinary people only slowly started to comprehend law after reaching God-level, as their souls grew stronger.

But Lin Moyu had to begin at level 86.

Whether in terms of soul rank or level, he was far ahead of others.

“Will it work? The law backlash… my soul rank is only level 94.” Lin Moyu asked.

If one hadn’t reached level 96, they wouldn’t be able to withstand the law backlash.

This was a well-known truth, a fundamental rule of the world.

Antares said, “It’s doable, though the process will be harder. And by harder, I mean the laws themselves are harder to comprehend. Still, since your law has already manifested, it’s thousands of times easier for you than for others.”

“If you still can’t grasp it under these conditions, then you’re simply an idiot.”

“As you comprehend law, your soul will be refined and grow more stable.”

“Because this is something you’re building from scratch, your soul will gradually adapt. There may be some backlash, but it will remain within a tolerable range.”

“It’s completely different from forcibly wielding a law that doesn’t belong to you, where the backlash is far more severe.”

“In the greater world, there exists a remarkable race capable of wielding laws before even reaching level 70.”

“With that ability alone, they can display combat power surpassing level 90 while still at level 70.”

Lin Moyu understood immediately. Without the Thunderclap Tower’s outer tower, he had no way to wield the law of lightning.

In the end, it was still relying on external means.

Whenever possible, one should rely on oneself. That was the true path and a principle he understood deeply.

Antares continued, “As you comprehend law, your soul force will also increase. Combined with the Nine-Colored Dragon Soul Crystal, it will further purify your soul force.”

“By the time you reach level 90, your soul force will be purer than that of any race at the same level—at least ten times purer.”

At this point, Antares clenched his claw slightly, “You should have noticed by now that the Nine-Colored Dragon Soul Crystal doesn’t raise your soul rank quickly.”

“That’s because its true purpose isn’t to raise your soul rank, but to refine your soul, to make your soul force exceptionally pure.”

“Where others need ten units of soul force to achieve something, you’ll only need one.”

Lin Moyu nodded, “Thank you, I understand.”

Antares waved his claw. “Not so fast. I’m not finished yet.”

Lin Moyu’s lips twitched, “Please, continue.”

Antares said, “You still want to bring out your talents, don’t you? Let me tell you this—without an extremely pure soul force, bringing them out is nothing but a fantasy.”

“When the time comes, not only will you fail, you may also suffer severe damage to your soul. Of course, that doesn’t concern you much. I can always kill you a few times to fix it.”

“But if you truly aim to become a supreme powerhouse, then you must bring out your talents.”

“Once you reach level 90 and the gate to the talent world gradually closes, it will be much harder to pull it off.”

Lin Moyu spoke up, “There’s something I’ve wanted to ask for a long time. Why does the gate to the talent world gradually close after level 90? And why does the influence of talents weaken?”

Antares let out a low snort, “No harm in telling you. This is one of the most profound rules of the greater world, said to be governed by the greater world runes. At its core, it comes down to a single word: balance.”

“Balance?” Lin Moyu frowned, confused. What did that have to do with anything?

Antares chuckled, “It’s normal not to understand. Just imagine…”
