Necromancer: I Am A Disaster

[Soul Incineration (100% fusion rate): burns target’s soul. Duration, efficacy, and range are determined by the user’s soul rank.]

Soul Blaze had evolved into Soul Incineration.

What had once been a single-target skill was now a group law art.

It could still be cast on a single target, with both duration and damage output freely adjustable.

As a soul-type skill, it joined Soul Curse and Soul Poison to form a soul-type three-star law art system.

Like Soul Poison, it damaged the soul directly, but Soul Incineration was far more intense and direct.

At Lin Moyu’s will, it could unleash devastating damage in an instant.

Yet unlike Undead Gaze, its damage output could be controlled, making it far more versatile.

With the formation of the three-star law art system, the power of all related law arts rose dramatically.

Looking into his soul world, strewn with stars and planets, Lin Moyu felt as though he were gazing at a universe.

Compared to the barren skill space, the soul world was thriving with activity.

Only four skill star cores remained in the skill space: Status Immunity, Summon Bone Dragon, Raise Dead, and Infinite Fusion.

Summon Bone Dragon required no explanation. Once transferred, it would certainly merge into the summon-type multiply-star law art system, forming a seven-star law art and boosting its power yet again.

What troubled Lin Moyu was Raise Dead.

It appeared to be a summon-type skill… yet somehow it didn’t. Its nature was difficult to define.

As Lin Moyu admired his soul world, Antares was doing the same.

Antares counted the stars in astonishment, muttering, “Good grief… eighteen law art stars, and three multiple-star law art systems…”

Lin Moyu caught the shock in his voice, “How many law art stars do powerhouses of other races usually have?”

Antares answered instinctively, “Hard to say. Some have four or five, while others possess ten.”

Then he seemed to realize something and added, “Of course, those are ordinary powerhouses. True geniuses are another matter. It’s not unusual for them to have over twenty law art stars.”

Lin Moyu said, “I still have four skill star cores left in my skill space. Once they’re transferred, I’ll surpass twenty as well. And one is a summon-type skill… it could form a seven-star law art system.”

“Seven stars…” Antares muttered, “If only you could reach nine.”

Lin Moyu immediately asked, “What’s the highest number of stars possible?”

Antares spoke gravely, “There are legends in the greater world of ten-star law arts… but none have ever achieved it.”

“And nine stars?” Lin Moyu pressed.

Antares shook his head, “I don’t know. Perhaps they exist, but I’ve never heard of one. This kind of thing depends on fate. If you don’t start with enough compatible skills, making up for it later is nearly impossible.”

Lin Moyu asked, “Can’t they be acquired later? Like the Soul-Splitting Art?”

“No. Skills learned later will always remain planet-grade law arts. Their fusion rate can never exceed 99%.” Antares pointed at the law art planet representing Soul-Splitting Art.

Lin Moyu had already transformed Soul-Splitting Art into a law art planet, yet its fusion rate was only 20%.

He had tried feeding it soul force before, but it had done nothing.

Suddenly, he understood.

No wonder Focus Power, converted from a Primordial Rune, had capped at a 99% fusion rate after becoming a law art planet.

So such a restriction truly existed.

Lin Moyu calculated. Even if Summon Skeletal King were converted into a law art star and added to the summon-type multiple-star system, it would only create an eight-star law art.

It seemed talent truly was the deciding factor. Reaching nine stars depended on talent.

A trace of disappointment stirred in his heart.

Antares comforted him, “An eight-star law art is already extraordinary. A nine-star law art depends on fate. It can’t be forced.”

Lin Moyu smiled, “I know. I’m already satisfied.”

“Huh?” Antares suddenly cried out.

Following his gaze, Lin Moyu looked at his newly formed soul-type three-star law art system: Soul Incineration, Soul Curse, Soul Poison.

Three blazing stars formed a triangle, orbiting one another.

Yet their motion was unstable, unlike the bone-type and summon-type systems.

The three stars accelerated and decelerated erratically, their paths expanding and contracting in seeming chaos.

But after observing for a while, Lin Moyu noticed something—despite the disorder, they always revolved around a central point.

And that point radiated law aura.

Antares’s eyes widened, “The… the law of time… manifested!”

His voice carried shock and even dread—but above all, disbelief.

The law of time stood among the first tier laws of the greater world, ranked in at least the top three.

Words like ethereal, untraceable, incomprehensible defined such laws.

Countless peerless geniuses had failed before them, settling instead for second tier laws.

Antares finally snapped out of his daze and let out a shrill cry, “Impossible! How could the law of time manifest?”

“Something is wrong—something is definitely wrong! What happened to this world? Has the greater world gone mad?”

Lin Moyu recalled that Antares hadn’t reacted this strongly when he had fused skills and briefly invoked the law of time before.

Why was his response so extreme now that the law had truly manifested?

As the saying went, the ignorant were fearless.

Lin Moyu lacked a clear understanding of law classifications, so he didn’t feel much.

Looking at the crazed Antares, he asked, “Are you alright?”

“I’ve decided!” Antares shouted.

“Decided what?” Lin Moyu was completely lost.

Antares declared, “I’m moving into your soul world permanently. I’ll comprehend the law of time here.”

“Once I master it, I’ll return and slaughter everyone in my path. Let’s see who dares stop me then.”

A vast surge of soul force poured in from Antares’s true body, strengthening his soul avatar.

The soul world trembled under the pressure, barely able to contain it.

Antares’s soul was simply too immense; Lin Moyu’s soul world was not yet strong enough.

Still, Antares wasn’t reckless. He restrained the avatar’s power to the limit Lin Moyu could endure, then immediately began comprehending.

Lin Moyu was at a loss for words. This fellow seemed more at home here than the owner himself.

This was his soul world, yet Antares treated it like his private residence.

After a moment, he let it be. It didn’t affect him.

Lin Moyu said, “Comprehend all you want. But keep an eye on the human race.”

Antares’s voice rose, “You’re not the only one who can multitask. At my level, doing ten things at once is nothing.”

“I’ll watch over your little girlfriends. Nothing will happen to them. The Bloodkind’s tricks are nothing to worry about.”

Trusting him and knowing that Meng Anwen and the others could manage, Lin Moyu resumed law comprehension.

But instead of pursuing the law of time, he returned to the law of undeath.

He knew his limits. With his level, comprehending a first tier law like the law of time wouldn’t be easy.

Besides, he had already gained considerable insight into the law of undeath; abandoning it now would be a waste.

…

In the Human World, within the capital of the Eagle Kingdom, a massive aura surged into the heavens.

Thunder boomed as law spread across the entire kingdom.

Someone had broken through to level 96.

Countless red threads, fine as strands of blood, emerged across the Human World and converged toward the capital of the Eagle Kingdom.

Then a winged figure appeared in the sky and began absorbing the blood.

The true feast of blood had begun.
