Necromancer: I Am A Disaster

Antares actually ended up using one eye for each.

The sight was quite strange, almost like he was cross-eyed.

Lin Moyu nearly burst out laughing but then forced himself to hold it in.

The two tiny black dots radiated an even stronger aura than before, and Lin Moyu etched their presence firmly into his memory.

Meanwhile, Antares, distracted by his attempt at multitasking, sank completely into deep contemplation.

Lin Moyu paid him no further attention. Instead, he focused on the refreshing sensation washing over his soul.

Expending soul force for an increase in soul rank through feedback was an incredible bargain.

Soul force could be restored, but a higher soul rank was permanent.

Exchanging something renewable for something permanent—if that wasn’t a massive win, what was?

His soul rank advanced slightly further along the path of level 94.

The improvement wasn’t large, but progress was progress.

Lin Moyu estimated that by the time he finished absorbing all the skill star cores, his soul rank would likely reach level 95.

The newly transformed law art stars suddenly intertwined, linking together to form a two-star law art.

They then drifted toward the existing two-star law art formed by Summon Skeletal Divine Warrior and Summon Elemental Lich, as though seeking to merge.

Lin Moyu was stunned, “What are the odds?”

There were about a dozen skill star cores remaining, five of which were summon-type.

He hadn’t expected the two he had just moved to both belong to that category.

But that was exactly what happened.

The four law art stars connected, each spinning on its own axis while simultaneously orbiting one another.

Their motion was steady and harmonious, resembling a beautiful dance performance.

“A four-star law art…”

“At the two-star stage, law arts can link together to improve flexibility and versatility, but it doesn’t actually increase their power.”

“Starting from three-star law arts, however, their strength rises significantly, and with each additional star, the boost becomes even greater.”

“Now that it’s reached four-star, it will definitely be stronger. I just don’t know if it can break the limit.”

The limit Lin Moyu referred to was the ceiling imposed by his soul.

A law art’s maximum power was bound by one’s soul rank. Even if it could be exceeded, the increase would be minimal.

A level 94 could, at best, kill a level 95. There was no true qualitative leap.

But if that limit could be shattered, it would mark a genuine breakthrough.

After all, once others reached level 96 and comprehended laws, they could infuse their law arts with laws, dramatically increasing their power.

The gap might not be large now, but as their mastery of laws deepened, it would only widen.

Lin Moyu hoped his law arts could shatter this limit and make up for their inability to carry laws.

With this, his trio skeleton summons was complete.

Moreover, they had merged with Summon Elemental Lich, forming a four-star law art.

A surge of excitement rose within Lin Moyu, and he nearly couldn’t resist checking their attributes.

In the end, he held back.

He decided to reveal everything at the end. After all, there was still a chance of obtaining more summon skills, forming a five-star law art or even a six-star law art.

Better to let the surprise build to its peak.

“Good grief… a four-star law art.” Antares finally snapped out of his daze.

Lin Moyu asked, “In the greater world, are there many people with four-star law arts?”

Antares shot him a glance, “There are a fair number. Think about it—the greater world is boundless, filled with countless races and endless geniuses. Four-star law arts aren’t common, but they’re far from rare.”

“Really?” Lin Moyu sounded unconvinced.

Antares snorted, “You dare doubt me?”

Lin Moyu did exactly that, “That’s not what you said before. You claimed multiple-star law arts were rare.”

Antares quickly clarified, “When I said that, I meant six-star or seven-star law arts. As for four-star law arts, they’re just average!”

“Enough talk. Hurry up and continue; my hands are itching for more!”

Chuckling, Lin Moyu sent his consciousness back into the skill space.

After leaving Lin Moyu’s soul world, Antares muttered in a voice that only he could hear, “Can’t let this brat get too full of himself…”

“Though I wasn’t lying. Four-star law arts may not be common, but they’re not that rare.”

“But if this brat really produces a six-star or a seven-star law art, then that really…”

Antares stared at Lin Moyu, eyes gleaming.

He already believed Lin Moyu’s talent surpassed that of freakish prodigies—it was monstrous.

If he truly managed to obtain a six-star or seven-star law art, Antares wouldn’t even know how to describe him.

As more law art stars formed within the soul world, the amount of soul force necessary to maintain them increased.

Only the excess could be used to move skill star cores.

After moving three skill cores, Lin Moyu checked his reserves and found he still had plenty of spirit force to spare.

“I should be able to move another five or six…”

Lin Moyu made a rough estimate. He never overestimated himself, but neither did he underestimate his limits.

As the number of skill star cores in the skill space decreased, its suppressive force grew stronger.

Still, it couldn’t stop Lin Moyu, who moved with the boldness of a bandit.

His soul force was simply too pure and overwhelming. The skill space could do nothing but protest like a resentful housewife.

Soon, another skill star core was transferred into the soul world. Without hesitation, Lin Moyu began injecting soul force.

This time, however, his soul force wasn’t as abundant as before. He couldn’t transform the skill star core into a star in one go.

Antares, wearing a mischievous grin, made his move.

…

A law art star rose, joining the existing four-star system and forcibly elevating it into a five-star law art.

“What luck…”

Even Lin Moyu didn’t know how to describe it.

Once again, it was a summon-type skill star core. His judgment was almost uncanny.

“A five-star law art!” Antares’s voice boomed through the soul world as he stared in shock.

Lin Moyu asked curiously, “Weren’t four-star law arts supposed to be common? Then five-star law arts shouldn’t be that rare either, right?”

Judging by Antares’s reaction, Lin Moyu seriously doubted his earlier claims.

If they were truly common, why such a dramatic reaction?

It was clear that Antares hadn’t told the whole truth.

Antares replied, “Four-star law arts are common. Five-star law arts are much rarer… at least a hundred times rarer.”

“Still, the greater world is vast. There are plenty of people with five-star law arts. Don’t let it go to your head.”

Lin Moyu studied him closely, as if trying to see through him.

Antares felt a flicker of guilt, “Why are you staring at me? Look at the law art. What is it this time?”

As the five-star law art took shape, a thunderous roar erupted within the soul world. The entire space trembled violently.
